Is this HiLux worth buying? | Toyota HiLux Rogue 2022 Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Japanese giant upgrades Australia’s favourite ute and the new Rogue flagship’s beefier chassis comes for no extra cost 👉 Full Review: www.carsales.com.au/editorial...
Providing Australia’s number one auto brand with a solid spoiler for the new Ford Ranger, the upgraded 2022 Toyota HiLux Rogue no longer plays second fiddle to the more serious HiLux Rugged X - at least until the latter is belatedly replaced by the new GR Sport in the second half of next year.
Until then, the Rogue is the flagship of Australia’s top-selling ute range, bringing a beefier chassis and other important updates but no increase in price.
Does that make it better value than the Ranger Wildtrak? Bruce Newton has the verdict.

Hilux are great and the benchmark for every other ute. Easy way to categorise them. SR for the worker and 4WD enthusiasts SR5 for the family Rogue for the white collar guy who wants a Hilux. Rugged X if you need to cruise Westfield and want people to think you know how to 4WD

Great Ute ticks all the box, except the interior, as another YT reviewer said 'looks like a 2010 Corolla' inside. Have a look at the inside of a RAV 4 and this....

Overrated car with an aging 2.8L diesel though it is reliable & holds it value there are better options for less coin you pay to name a few Isuzu dmax, ford ranger etc

I just don’t get these manufacturers, my work supplies me a Hyundai highlander, admittedly it’s a 7 seater SUV, the tech in that vehicle for a Korean made car, blows most European cars off the road. The basic comforts such as all round electric adjustable seats, heat and cooling seats, adaptive cruise control, multiple camera views, autonomous parking , multiple drive modes, blue tooth , 4x4 with locker and the list goes on. When it comes to utes, Toyota, ford, Mitsubishi, Isuzu etc are all in competition to each other, are up against the likes of Hyundai and Kia who are also bringing out a Ute and yet the main name brands keep serving up half baked over priced products to the Australian market. Let’s face it, the ford Everest is literally a ranger wagon. Ford for all their hype have issues with transmission cooling and tail shaft vibrations, while the allusive F150 is just that. The US market is creeping in , Ram is leading the charge, while in the mid size pick up range GWM and LDV are starting to kick goals on price and tech features. The main manufacturers will continue to serve up what you see and franchise dealerships will tell you it’s good if you just swallow without chewing, either way other markets such as Chevy on mid size pick ups (Colorado) are leading the way with 4 cylinder diesel’s in the states but we won’t see those because Holden went bust and Walkinshaw who is quickly becoming the main agent for US pick ups and RHD conversion, don’t see a profit. In short Australia is the last stop on the world market for vehicles, not because of population, but because we are one of very few RHD countries, limiting choice and price.

Overrated and outdated.. gotta have rocks in your head to spend the amount of coin Toyota are asking for these, at least wait for the all new model before spending your hard earned.. Buy a 2018 model, it’ll have the same tech, dash and under powered 2.8👍
