IS THIS ASTANA? First Impressions of Kazakhstan's Capital
In this Kazakhstan travel vlog, we explored the second coldest capital city in the world - Astana. It was briefly called Nur Sultan (after the first President of the country) but in 2022, the old name was restored. We took the public bus to the Grand Mosque and the Expo 2017 Sphere. Later we walked around the city centre starting from the Kazakh Presidential Palace to the Baiterek monument and onwards on the boulevard to Khan Shatyr! This is how we decided on what to see in Astana and how to travel Kazakhstan capital 🤓

Loved the city ! Never seen this beautiful city ! Biggest beautiful mosque , glass sphere impressive tall structures museums architectural buildings water fountains also most enchanting flower beds it is no doubt treat to anyone’s eyes mind and body 👍👍

I came across a few websites that say I need to register with the migration police if I'm staying in Kazakhstan for more than five days as a foreign tourist. What is this all about? Some websites also say this rule was lifted. Would love some help on the same! Thanks! (travelling from namma bengaluru to almaty in november)

We didn't encounter such a rule when we visited Kazakhstan. The rule applies in Uzbekistan though. You can always ask the immigration officer when he stamps you in 😀

Thanks Surendra! The answers to both questions 1 (our stay in a hostel) and 3 (getting a bus card at the bus station) are in our Kazakhstan videos (please check our other KZ vlogs). We also drove out of Astana with our kannadigas friends - that was the only trip we went out of the city for. There's one vidoe of that too! 😃
