    Been using BPC157 for 4 weeks now. It is life changing stuff! In January my elbows packed up completely and I was in constant pain. A fellow gym rat told me to try it and I caved. Within 3 days it started to work and I could start to use my arms again. Now 4 weeks on and I have quality of life again. It sort of plateaued after 3 weeks not getting any better or worse, but if I skip a day or two I can feel it. The recommendations is to stay on for 6 weeks and then off for an extended period. Even my bad knee is completely pain free too.

    I could sure use some of this. My wrists have been in pain since the day I first started armwrestling. It can take weeks or months for the pain to go away, usually by stopping anything but the lightest bloodflow work, and it always comes back, no matter how careful I am.

    Honestly, grab a quick xray and ultrasound of your wrist with your doc. So many bones and tendons in there, it's not unlikely that one of them are damaged

  • @ArmWrestlingOverdose

    @ArmWrestlingOverdose

    Жыл бұрын

    Please don't! Those pains you're describing are normal, we all had or still have them, it usually takes months of consistent lightweight training and then gradually going up over a period of 2-5 years in order to pretty much not have them anymore. Don't go to a drug just so that it gets you rid of "annoying" pain that "prohibits" you from training. Learn about your body, why it hurts and what to do so that it doesn't hurt anymore. Trust me, I had more pain in my arms from training than most people, I was screaming in bed at times during the night, not being able to sleep. My blood levels showed about 20x times the level of eosinophils, my tendons and muscles get extreme damage from this type of training. Yet, after being out of this sport since 2011 precisely due to this problem, I finally managed to fix it within less than 2 months by finally employing proper training. I had to forget everything I thought I knew and start like a baby from ground zero, with little girl weights. Now I'm back to training even 3x times a day with the same weights as before, the only difference being there's no more pain. I still cannot believe such a thing was possible in my case.

    @@ArmWrestlingOverdose Hey man, I appreciate the response. Rest assured, I have no intention of using any drugs, although it is quite annoying not being able to train anywhere near heavy, being stuck with the baby bands, always in rehab mode. I've recently been given the suggestion to train moderate intensity isometric holds to try and fix my wrist instability/tendon issue (radial side) instead of doing light pumping. I'll give that a try and avoid toprolling for the time being. If you don't mind my asking, what training principle did you apply to break through this plateau?

  • @ArmWrestlingOverdose

    @ArmWrestlingOverdose

    Жыл бұрын

    @@TheUnchainedMind We have exactly the same issue from what you're saying :) I also get mine on the radial side. Isometry was also recommended to me and although in theory it should work, for me it worked only marginally, as the applied static force still maintained my inflammation. The ticket for me was actually rehab training with tens or even hundreds of reps per set (yes, no kidding). Then, the other huge piece of the puzzle was letting go of all I thought I knew after 27 years of training in various sports and go back to square one. I literally had to pick up weights of 1-2 kilos, explore all the angles and methods which worked pain-free vs. the ones that started to give me slight pain and progress from there at a veerryyyyy slow pace. I can't stress this enough. I know you wish to quickly go back to training with the weights you'd normally use, just have zero pain. But it doesn't work like that. And for the first 2 months I thought at this rate it will take me 5 years to get anywhere close to my "standard" weights, if ever. But something very strange happened. Due to all this intensive rehab work which was CONTINUOUS (every day, many many times per day), I suddenly got the benefit of consistency in the form of being able to go around 80% of my numbers after around 3 months. Then around month 4 I was back to 100% with a tendency to even break my previous plateaus. It will work faster than expected, IF (and only IF) you'll be willing to take it from ground zero and push through that unbearable sensation of "when will this ever go away" for a few months. Trust me, you either sacrifice a few months and do the right thing, so that u can then continue as you always should have, OR you'll keep looking for a shortcut/treatment/method for many years to come. It might take you 2 months, it might take you 5-6, but I guarantee if you REALLY go back to baby mode and slowly climb back up only with a pain-free weight (even if it's 3 pounds vs. your usual 40 or whatever), you'll be able to fix this for the rest of your career.

    Good point, I always thought its no way it can healing serious chronic injuries within a days/weeks. It must be turning off pain signal’s allowing people to regain control/strength of the injured area. We will truly never know until more studies come out, for now its all hypothetical talk.

  • @ZaneGeeting

    @ZaneGeeting

    6 ай бұрын

    Its not hypothetical at all, there has been extensive research done on rats and a fair amount on people at this point in time. There are plenty of medical journals and research papers published on BPC and its MOA. It was originally derived from the healing factors in ulcer tissue. Its main function is in fact healing, not pain reduction. I personally healed a myotendinous biceps tear in 5 weeks using BPC. The bruising wasn't even fully dissipated and the muscle held up to multiple max effort attempts in competition. There is a ton of bunk BPC out there though.
