I was 36 in 2006 and I kept telling my wife I want a sports car. She finally asked me: "What, are you going through a mid-crisis?" I replied: "No....but I'm planning on it!" My wife agreed that when my daughter graduated college that I could, 'within reason', get what I want. Well, my daughter graduates in April! My wife never thought she'd have to make good on the deal! LOL! (Been driving the soccer mobile minivan since 2009!) It's my time! I just discovered Raiti's Rides a few weeks ago and have been watching scores of his reviews. I love Joe's enthusiasm and his thorough reviews. Man, I would like to meet this guy one day! Definitely helping me 'shop' for my new ride next year. If I can squeeze this GT500 into the 'within reason' category, then this is the one! If not, I will likely look at the Mach 1 or the Type R. (Had an '02 Si and loved it!) Joe's reviews on those cars were equally excellent of course. Man, thanks so much Joe!!!

That is a rare color.

No way man, Performance Blue, white stripes all day long. The shifts are freakin' unbelievably fast and this car snaps your neck when you come OUT of the throttle! I'm with you Joe, hate the shark fin. I always wondered about the darker inside exhaust pipe tips, thanks. Love your channel.

I would love a GT500 but no one has one at MSRP. Even the Ford dealership I have bought 3 cars from in the last year wants 5k over msrp from me and 10k over msrp for anyone else. Great car but Ford should control pricing more. Great Review.

Hey joe i watched a video from jay leno’s garage where he invited an engineer that designed the gt500 and he said that the reason why they dont come with a manual its because you cannot shift as fast as you would shift with the DCT. Still definitely one mean machine

Man the exterior of this car is gorgeous. Love the red with the black stripes and black rims. Should’ve had red instead of gray on the seats. Should’ve had a stick for the automatic shifting. Great review 👍

Nice looking exterior in the base version especially this color. It’s impressive to see this in person too. Lots of power and bragging rights. The price with a couple of options is about $80k and that’s without the $18k track pack option and the $10k painted stripes. The biggest “Zonk” in my View is the cheap looking interior. I mean for $80+ to ud expect all leather and alcantara like a Porsche,, BMW or Toyota or Lexus. Instead you get an Ecoboost plastic $30k interior. Ford should up their game! But with an upgraded interior this would really be a great choice.

Well do you want the base price to be 80k or 95k? Because that's what it would be with a nice interior. Muscle cars are for men if you care about interior don't buy one

Super Snake S550 made the most impressions with the hood scoop intake and other mods

Love how them construction workers or whatever under the freeway pass just looking at you shred the streets lol

However, I kinda believe if you’re gonna get top trim you gotta go BIG. generally I’m an economical person, therefore Mustang prices scare me beyond the GT. so if I dared to disobey my better judgment it’s all or nothing. I couldn’t see myself this high up the food chain and skip dessert. Track pack, carbon fiber and adjustable wing is the definition of GT500. PS. That’s why I’m totally comfortable with my GT, plus I have an actual bed to sleep on in my home. If I’d bought the 500 I’d have to live in it too 😬

Hey Joe, thanks for the review! She is a sweet machine! On a side note, watching you review on your GT350R Heritage, made me search out one and I closed the deal today! I get her on Saturday! One more thing, I don’t know if you saw the review by SheblyFlyer on the rear wing, apparently ford just drills the holes through the deck lid to mount the wing with not addressing the exposed steel from drilling. If the mounts hold water. It could be a place for the deck lid to start to rust.. after I get her home, I am going to take off the wing and seal up the paint and seal up the mount! I heard some dealers would rather keep them in their showroom because it brings in extra foot traffic which they hope will lead to sales for other vehicles and that's why they have that extreme markup. I like the car but would never personally pay over MSRP for it. I'm hoping Ford brings back the boss 429 to be honest with the new generation in a couple years.

Dealerships are having no trouble selling these things at the current moment for $10/$20,000 over sticker. It just is what it is. It’s the hot ticket at the moment.

Looked around at these. Found one listed at MSRP and was going to buy it. Contacted the dealership and they introduced me to the hidden $10k ADM. Sorry, nope. Decided instead to go with a 2020 Roush Stage 3. Should get it in a few weeks. I'm pumped!

I think ford did have the supercharger whine for a reason and that's so you can hear and appreciate the sound of that 5.2 predator exhaust.

This car is too die for. I used to be a Camaro dude then Ford came out with the GT500. Except for the price this is the greatest thing on 4 wheels. It's actually almost impossible to find these at dealerships. The dealerships are hiking up the price for these things like you wouldn't believe. Whenever things come back down to earth, I will purchase one almost exactly like the one in this video. Since I want heated and ventilated seats, the Recaro seats are out. Thanks for bringing this to us Joe. God bless automatics :)

Seems like a lot of people complained about the 2019 Camaro SS with it's black bumper going across the front and not being the same color as the car.........same situation here.

Round antennae looks better like on the GT..I agree

Love this GT500!! Best car of 2020. Went to my local ford dealership and my grandpa fell in love hahah.

Joe serious question. I currently have a mustang gt pp1 and I am looking into the possibility of getting the GT500 this week. Is the juice worth the squeeze? Payment jump is roughly 600 a month for the vehicle. But it is beautiful and has me on the fence. You don't get to test drive these vehicles being a peasant like myself. You have to commit first. But without driving it I can't say it's worth that extra bump.

I heard you can get a 6 speed put in at Shelby America I believe there are a few of them out there

Hi! Would Like to see you test one of The 1,000 Horsepower Shelby Super Snakes Mustang GT 500 !His Factory only Built Less than a Dozen he Signed The Dash& Glove box & under the hoods .

Awesome car and review, people can knock interior all they want, but it’s a performance car if you want luxury you can spend double or even more the price elsewhere, Interior won’t matter when you get taken to gapplebees by a car cheaper than yours. I prefer

I've come to accept that the stamping die for the hood will never be fixed so the hood meets the front clip properly on all Mustangs.
