I would assume that VeryLittleNingtmare was first Little nightmare 2, second Little nightmare, third The yellow raincoat person in verylittlenightmare wasn't Six, it was other person. She died when she fell in the water. After her death, she became the legend among the children. As for the raincoat that Six found in Little Nightmare2, it was probably bcuz some other children found it drifted at first and took it. Remember the glitches that mono absorbs? Thats probably the kids that first found and wear them. This explains why the Yellow raincoat was laying in a building out of nowhere. Six immediately wear it bcuz she knew of the legend of the original person to wear. Take note. The title "Little Nightmare 2" is not referring to a sequel. It was the 2 kids, Mono and six we venture with which are the nightmare themselves Mono=Future Thin Man Six=A demon hunger for power which has saperated with her soul .aka. the good side of her. Becuz she was saperated. It left a hole in her causes her hunger and she needs to fill that hole with power.(cannibal)

height rarely maters in a hanging as you can get hung in your closet with a belt simply by tying it tightly. chair was most likely just a stepping stool to reach a higher pipe to tie a short noose.

It's quite sad, that you're playing as the character "Mono" since Monophobia is the fear of being alone and he's been trapped in the TV for so long

I was thinking the same thing except the fact that since the teacher is probably the pretenders mom that means his mom is trying to kill him OR he’s not related to her and the thin man cheated on her so that would make the pretender his half sister, this would also give a reason as to why the teacher hates mono, and why the thin man isn’t outright trying to kill mono because we can see he can clearly kill him easily

I literally searched for this theory, I was thinking that if the hanging man is thin man, then perhaps thin man separated himself from his transmission self. If the transmissions are in both past present and future signals, then perhaps six’s transmission is leading Six towards her best known future.

Ive always thought that the hanging man was murdered notice that the chair isnt kicked out from under him and that he is a few feet above it. If he actually killed himself wouldnt it have been on its side? Maybe he became the Thin man because he's going after the person who killed him or the ones behind the transmissions killed him to get control of his body.

Cool theory but the hanging man most definetly did not kill himself. To explain my reasoning look at how high he is compared to the chair, the chair is way too high up for him to jump off it and hang himself, ergo he was most likely murdered and left as a coverup.

Something to consider: If the Thin Man is a ghost controlled by the Signal Tower's Transmission, it appears that the Transmission doesn't have _full_ control over him. Or, rather, the Thin Man still has a bit of his own will left. While the trailer does depict him aggressively snatching up Mono in the open rain scene (the one many people think may be a sort of "boss" fight like the Janitor), an earlier scene also shows him confront Mono in a series of cable cars... but he _doesn't_ chase him very aggressively, only teleporting just behind him and passively walking after Mono, as if merely watching Mono rather than straight-up chasing him. It's very possible that the Thin Man (possibly as a result of being a spirit rather than a living being) is actually _resisting_ the Signal Tower's broadcasts, though can only partly resist since the TVs he travels through are absolutely bathed in the Transmission broadcasted by the Signal Tower and thus means he's more exposed to the Transmissions than anyone else. All of this may also mean that the Thin Man *_isn't_* the ultimate antagonist of the game like many of us thought; rather than the mastermind behind everything, he's just on a lower rung of the ladder just like the Butler, Janitor and Teacher.

having played Little Nightmares II, this really hits hard. :( *SPOILER WARNING* *DONT LOOK IF YOU DONT WANT A SPOILER* The Thin Man isn't the ultimate villain, he just wanted to break the loop he was stuck in when SIx betrayed him to the tower. By stopping younger Mono, Six would never betray him and drop him over the cliff, and Mono would never grow into Thin Man, and everything would be saved. In a way, Thin Man, was the protagonist. :( SO sad

So basically when the thin man was chasing mono, he didn't want to kill him....but to save him from six..... because he knew what would happened and he didn't want his past self to repeat his future fate.... That's a bit complicated but also cool though :D And....kinda sad :(

Thats so sad..The Man hanged himself and became this. He only wanted peace and harmony and got this. Poor Thin Man.

It sounded like he said that the pretender was the lady which the pretender couldn't be the lady if the little girl helping you in Very Little Nightmares was Six. (1:36) quote: "The pretender being groomed inside the walls of The Nest eventually harness her power and puts it to use aboard The Maw were she becomes show runner The Lady, the previous Lady then being laid to rest in the boules of The Maw as The Granny and forced to live out the rest of her days within the stagnant flooded halls beneath."

I think the fact we see the hanging man dead - suggests that eventually the cycle ends of him being reborn and seeking his past self. Its what I’m telling myself because I want to hope there’s an ending to the transitions :/

I always found it interesting how the characters’ names start with “the” and are usually one word professions or characteristic descriptions like The Pretender and The Craftsman. It reminds me of characters in a play who need to be identified for the role they play in the overall plot. Could be a reference to the fact that all of these people are merely playing pieces in someone’s game of chess and underscoring their subordinate role.

So y'all are just ignore how superhorrorbro is good at video editing?

This makes a lot of sense. It also makes you wonder if ‘Thin Man’ can mean two things. Like not just because he’s literally thin, but also because he lives in the living world while dead. So I guess I’m saying his soul is thin because it never traveled to the afterlife.

Thin man is Mono

Imagine the original mono is the hanging man.

It seems like The Transmission makes the hanging man into a projection and a vision of what he used to be.

Ok quick theory, What if the childs (six and mono) are actually a part of The lady and The Thin's man soul. That could explain why mono can use the tvs and is unaffected by them and why six can use the power of the lady at the end of the game, also this could explain what the thin man is searching (mono) since whitout him he isn't complete and can't move to the after life

The weirdest thing about Little Nightmares is the difference in scale between children and adults. Are the kids human-sized, or are they tiny? In the former case the adults get really big for some unexplained reason. If it is the latter then the kids are much smaller for an unexplained reason. I personally think that the adults are larger, due to the fact that their proportions are completely out-of-sync with the regular human body. The kids, however, are normally proportioned for the most part. Even the Thin Man is oddly... slender for being human. My working theory is that the chaos in Little Nightmares had to have started within the past decade, since the world doesn't look even moderately stable, and society has already collapsed yet most buildings are still functioning. What the developers said, "This world wasn't made for you.", makes me think that the adults being significantly larger than the children is not a new development. It seems like the kids act like it is "normal" for the most part. That the only difference between before everything went downhill and now is that the adults hunt the kids. Just look at how Six naturally knows how to navigate the world. Everything being "Big" is not a surprise to her.

Dude same, I can’t stop thinking about that either! I personally think that the transmissions changed anything living slowly over time, and that’s also why plants and animals match the scale of the adults. The adults became more consumed by the transmissions over time, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t function on a basic level, ie cooking, cleaning while still having enough free will to have children and somewhat be able to care for them. The adults rebuilt their homes with their changing bodies until the transmissions became all consuming, twisting both body and mind. The transmissions are acting out of self preservation, it feeds off the bodies and souls of the human race, which is why animals and plants aren’t affected as much, sure they grow large, caught in the signals crosshairs, but I think that’s unintentional on the part of the transmissions. Also explains why animals don’t have unnatural proportions, but their could be exceptions in the future if the broadcast were to target animals for strategic purposes. However the transmissions can’t change new life from the start, it’s influence works slowly, and that’s why the children are so small, but the adults had just adapted to caring for tiny children when they were still able to, it would also explain why we see built in ladders, bridges and other small furniture kept from the old way of life, because children couldn’t feasibly build these small additions themselves. Once the TVs stopped the viewers from being able to take care of their children, the kids had to go off into the world for survival, especially once the broadcast started to influence its audience into hurting any children found. So we’re viewing this world while in the process of transitioning, tv transmissions exist outside of time, therefore it knows exactly what it needs to do and who to influence the most in order to assure it’s own existence. Sorry, I’ve really been thinking about this TOO much.

I'm not a massive fan of the Little Nightmares games, but I have watched loads of your videos on the games because it's nice hearing you talk and make theories about stuff

In my theory: they were brothers the hanging man is a guardian of the pretender and thin man is the broadcaster master mind

But now we know that mono from little nightmares 2 is the thin man. So it's completely impossible that the hanging man is the thin man himself cause we saw that mono was trapped in the signal tower for several decades waiting for his past self to be freed again. So that's also means, that it is again completely unknown who the hanging man is.

Here's my theory, The transition doesn't have a physical form and he manipulates the hanging man into killing himself so he can posses his body because he can only enter dead peoples body's and he wants to capture mono so he can learn how to put his mind in living body so mono must destroy the signal tower and free his farther from the transmission.

So going back and knowing that mono is thin man, this theory is backed up more because the chair under hanging man is the same as the one mono sits down in at the end of two.

That's a really good theory 🤔 At fist I though the Hanging Man and the Thinman were not the same person, but I think you convinced me. I think he and Mono are related too, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're father and son. I mean, the same was said before about Six and the Lady but that ended up being false. Another thing I could notice here that I didn't see the fist time was that, in the "boss encounter" with the Thinman under the rain, Mono is not wearing the bag mask anymore 😲 And now that I remember, the developers said that there was a "secret villain" which they didn't talk about. But I think they were referring to the worm-thing at the Hospital 🤔 Instead of the "Transmition" being another character, I think that the real villain here could be the Signal Tower itself 😮 I mean, I remember I heard that the Maw had life or consious. Maybe that's the same case with the Tower 🤔

I’ve always wondered was the world of little nightmares corrupted or did it start out corrupted.
