Thanks Bryan! Yes, I agree. The COSMOS produces a better image but the convenience of the capsule is just amazing, and the image is still pretty excellent.

Great review. We will order one soon . Hopefully this will solve the puzzle.

What USB C link device where you using to connect from the phone to the convert to HDMI output?

2 very interesting pieces of tech. I really like the capsule 3 as it seems the ideal portable camping solution for setting up in a family tent for example. And the price of both is not too excessive either.

Yep, the COSMOS has the killer image but the portability of the capsule is just too good, whilst still producing a more than decent image 👌

I am curious how you hooked up the HomePod to projector. Did you hook up the Apple TV? These would be great. I could think of many applications. Thanks for sharing.

Great video... you convinced me to purchase one... I'll have it in a few days... question I purchased the nebula capsule seeing that the capsule speaker is only 8 watts.. can i use a Bluetooth speaker to enhance movie sounds?

I’m looking for a portable projector to bring to customer offices and give presentations. I need the image to be clear and bright enough for people to see during the day. I’m returning my Kodak luma 150 because it was pretty poor in those departments. What are your thoughts on the capsule 3 for this? Thanks!

The capsule is really great and ultra portable, but it's not bright enough to be used in very bright environments. The big boy absolutely is and it's still fairly portable too.

Samsung Freestyle. For the money it's the best choice for portable projectors. You can spend more and get "kinda better" but not much, in the portable space.

Possible yes, but I wouldn't advise it. It's fantastic for movies, especially the large one. But to read code all day? Probably not the best option.

Look for iFootage on Amazon. I believe this one is called the cobra mini 2 or something along those lines. They're not super cheap bit they make amazing stuff. That little tripod holds almost anything.

Sadly, it looks like the HDMI port is not v2.1 compliant so I cannot use it with my AppleTV and higher end AV Receiver.

Apple TV worked just fine for me.

I’ve been enjoying a 4k laser projector in my living room for several years now. There is nothing quite like having a movie theater in your home. So seeing the price come down is always nice. I don’t plan on replacing the one I have for a long awhile. But the Capsule would be nice since it’s portable.

The capsule is a great "second projector". I know that sounds super decadent but if you have a good 4K projector, this is the one you bring on trips 😅

I would suggest not to go for a mini portable projector as u are already coming from a 4k one. You can go for the mini only if you want portability. Otherwise minis are always inferior.

I know I’m late but I think Netflix requires a product to have an “X” amount of units in development or sold for them to be allowed natively on a device, I’m 90% sure on that

This projector gets the job done pretty well. kzread.infoUgkxS9P8zTOcmQg-hH0QeUi3dspOLyYgQ6dH Bear in mind it's a mini projector but all things considered the picture quality is pretty good. The attached photo is of the projector projecting onto my white closet doors. I still have not messed with the settings but I can't wait for our first family movie night on a larger scale. If you have issues with volume not working with your firestick, go into volume settings and you will find your solution there.

Haha thanks! I've worked out I can hire a US postal address and have it shipped for less than $100 🤙🏽. It does get quite dark, I might have to try test one before I buy it, I've heard the Samsung freestyle is quite similar so I'll base results from that thing

they seem great projectors but they are very expensive for my wallet!!!

im stuck in a dilemma . Im looing to start a little side biz and had just purchased the capsule. but from what everyone is saying I need minimum of 3500 lumens but in doing the math 300 ansi lumens would be about the same. or am I wrong? im like you I love the little coke can projector. but if I do start this biz. I dont want to short change any clients. but I played with it in doors with lights on and could see it clearly.

It does the trick. Obviously the big one is going to give you a better image but at a much higher price.

Cosmos not having battery is deal breaker! I don’t want to have a cord laying around to watch movies outdoors.

Yeah would be amazing if it had a battery, but it's a big machine, it would be very difficult to fit a battery strong enough to provide it with enough power for more than 2 hours.

You would still plug the chord to have max brightness. On battery , the device throws full brightness only for almost 1 hr

@@davo5577 I thought that's what you meant. That's apples and oranges, imo. It's not (really) portable, doesn't appear to have an internal battery, no internal android TV, etc. It's an ordinary tabletop projector. Yes, the image will be 4K as opposed to the Capsule, which is 1080.

I would say that nebula capsule 3 is actually the worst mini projector ever Nobody says nothing about the overheating issues that this model presents all the time and it shuts down unexpectedly due that
