Interesting. It sounds great, but I personally would use the brown setting and my volume knob on my strat which has three EMG SAs. Let it clean up with the volume knob. Good video though and I think you proved its a great pedal platform. Love your pedal board. I have just started to buy pedals. I was never a pedal guy. Im old though. 😂. I used to plug in and crank a tube amp to get the tone I wanted. Cant do that so much now days. Regards from South Central Indiana. USA. Tim..❤

I connect it directly into the input, as it's a clean sound on the Lion it is not a problem... but if you want ti use dirty sounds as well then you can just connect them after the LION.

@@brianholden2185 eq no, because its not time based effect. delay on the other hand if you go with delay into the dirty amp, the dirt will add on to the repeats as well and it will just turn into mush... thats why for a dirty amp you need the delays after.

Sounds good but it‘s unfortunate that you say nothing about your settings on the Lion. I‘m trying to find the best settings for it to use it as a pedal platform but your settings sounded better. I feel you need to pick Super Bass mode and low input, otherwise there‘s no headroom for solos. Can you share your settings or even create a preset that we could download?

yeah, I didn't tell anything about the preset because it's all just personal preference as everybody likes something else as a basic clean tone for a pedal platform. I didn't save the preset of it but it was the Super Bass Lead, cab is the third one in red mode, voulme I is at 12H, Volume II is at 2H, Treble 3H, Middle 2H, Bass 12H, Presence 2H, Room 10H, boost 0

@@ToneChaseBasement Thanks for sharing! See, I tried out your settings and had played with very similar ones before. The problem I have is that in these settings the Lion is already quite saturated. If I play a distortion or a boost into it, it doesn't get louder anymore, only more saturated. There's no headroom. I really struggle with that in the band since my pedals don't give me a volume boost for solos anymore. If you dial the Volume 1 and 2 down to 9 o'clock, the Lion suddenly cleans up and has plenty of headroom, but it sounds less good playing it alone.

@@drgonzorevival might be up to your pickups output signal... what kind of pickups do you have in your guitar? these settings should be pretty clean definitely...

@@ToneChaseBasement P.S. Do you know if you used the high, low, or jumped input setting on the Super Bass mode? Or did you not change anything in the phone app?
