Esila is a 18 months old baby who lives in Gaziantep. She has SMA type 1. She has 6 months left to get her treatment. We were able to collect %25 but we need more people to reach %100. Please help us.

I think the main reason for this is that the ingredients used while preparing the meals are unique to that region.

@@alper_mutlu I think we're not advertising it enough. People go to France or Italy to experience their cuisine but they don't come to Turkey for Turkish cuisine. Most people only know about kebab which is döner kebap and that's all.

@@alper_mutlu Sure but people can come to Turkey to Gaziantep to taste it like they do with France, Paris. They don't come, it's not popular outside of Turkey as Michael said, because we don't advertise it enough.

Baklava's homeland is Turkey, it's really funny that Greece owns it.

Greece and Turkey share lots of dishes and desserts. However, baklava is originally Turkish, like Turkish delight and yogurt. And trust me, regardless from being a turk, I would choose the Turkish version when it comes to pick. Greeks want to own everything related with Anatolian cuisine. But sorry, they can’t make them as delicious as Turks had made. Greeks kinda change the flavors in the european and American way I guess. They just taste weird.
after watching your vlog, we ordered kebabs from Turkish Restaurant... it was delicious too...

Every friend of mine visited gaziantep had a big belly just in a week off. Never been there, but I definitely will.
It looks one needs more than one stomach to go to Gaziantep!!!! The food looks absolutely enticing. Enjoy.

So much gd food to have all over turkey . Im not jokin i allways put on weight while im there. U just find urself eating all the time u go past a place and the smells hit u and u have to go in and try something . Lol u know what i mean . I hope ur both doin well its great uv bn travelling with overlanding sophia . Love that they rescued a dog too . My trouble is i want them all cats too . Turkish cats are usually very friendly and well fed . AS ive said before i allways have cat treats and dog treats . Its allways great to make new furry friends . I love the big kangol dogs in turkey . Overall its a great place friendly people too . Cant praise it enough . Ive spent many happy days there . Anyway pls take care safe travels wherever u go . One of the best days ever 💕 That food coma was real! 😂 We still dream about the table top kebab. In fact, where we're parked now, Gaziantep is only 4 hours away. We couldn't stop giggling throughout this video because Josh is allergic to pistachios and every time something looked good, you'd say 'covered in pistachios' or 'dipped in pistachios' but the final straw was the pistachio coffee 😂😂 All looked so delicious and you're making me want to have a Turkish mezze!! X

Gaziantep is the homecity of pistachio. Even the Turkish word for pistachio is "Antep fıstığı" which means "The nut from Antep" 😁

"Gazi" means Veteran. These are people who were wounded in a war and survived despite severe injuries. Antep got the nickname "Gazi" because the inhabitants heroically defended their city. A lot of people fell and most of the survivors were wounded. People who died in a war are called "Şehit" (pronounced shehit), which means martyrs. Gazi and Şehit are honorable titles in Turkish tradition. A family that has a Şehit or Gazi enjoys a high status in society and is supported in many ways by the state.

Hello, I'm a Turk too. I would like to give you some information. Every corner of our country has a different gastronomic color. yes Gaziantep is a very famous city for kebab and baklava, but Turkish gastronomy is not just about kebab. If you go again, I recommend you to try the olive oil and vegan food culture of the Aegean region. On the other hand, our provinces of Tokat, Amasya, Balıkesir are a few of our cities with gastronomy signs. You can find the best seafood you can go to the Mediterranean region and eat. Unfortunately, we are known in the world for kebabs and doner kebabs. I wish people could fully experience our rich food culture.
