    Great playing and presentation protocol. I love that you play with drums. In my earphones your bass reviews sound better then any other on YT. You must know something about production Mister.

    Hi Tyler! I bought a bass a year or so ago that I wonder about. It’s an American Fender 5 string precision bass that also has a jazz pickup on the bridge position. It’s olympic white with the tortoise shell just like yours, just p body. There’s also no preamp. The 2 knobs that are standard for precision basses are stacked with a tone knob on each. I’m trying to contact the seller, but do you think it was modded with the j pickup or did fender ever make this bass just the way it is? I still can’t find any just like it. I love it, though. A preamp in it would be nice too.

    Thank you for watching and the kind words! My favourites are the Squier CV 60s basses, the Squier CV Jaguar bass and the lower priced Yamaha BB basses (234/434). All will give you some classic Fender type tones that’ll work for anything you do! T

    Hi Tyler! Did you have the chance of playing the new german made metroline? I wonder how they compare with the former Japanese.

  • @TylerSpicer

    @TylerSpicer

    Hi Fernando! I’ve played a couple, but not for long enough to be an authority on them… From what I remember, they felt fairly similar, with slightly slimmer necks and more of a focus on light weight than the Japanese models. They’re still great functional basses for the working player, that’s not in doubt! T

    Compared to the Yamaha BB 735 What’s your recommendation ?

  • @TylerSpicer

    @TylerSpicer

    3 жыл бұрын

    I sold the BB735 when I bought this Sadowsky… But the Sadowsky cost 2.5x what I paid for the 735! It’s not 2.5x as good, but does suit me and was a bass I was looking for, for a long time! I think passive is more versatile and the pickups are better on the Sadowsky. A little more exposed satin finished wood is something I always appreciate too. If I was just touring and gigging, I’d probably just stick to the BB! T

    So would you still go PJ after the time you had it or rather opt for JJ?

  • @TylerSpicer

    @TylerSpicer

    2 жыл бұрын

    I still have it! PJ 100%. It really just does everything and backing it to more of the J pickup does balance it more closely to a JJ. T

    Very good bass demonstration! Great job! The Sadowsky sounds very balanced but still mediocre as I know it when I tried different Sadowsky basses. Sadowsky basses are sesationally processed, exceptionally easy to play and have rather light weights (good for old men who play bass (;-)) but have a "slack" punchless sound for my ears (I think the same about Fodera).
