Wouldn’t go as far as to say countless as there’s actually hardly any hardware differences although the screen itself alone is worth the extra money, never mind the kickstand

ITS WORTH IT, ITS WORTH IT, ITS WORTH IT. I just get the oled model, and let me tell you. It’s amazing. Sometimes I like to just open the kick stand because I know it’s not going to break. The bigger screen is great to. And holding it.☺️👌 perfection. It’s so sturdy.

i upgraded from my switch lite to the oled, i think thats absolutely a valid upgrade! from a regular switch? nah. but its a huge jump in quality from the lite!

@@LambdaMiscellaneousfirst gen only has about 2 to 6 hours of battery life. Oled has 10 to 12 hours of battery life, same goes with 2nd gen switch.

Still a bit young here, but after my 3ds broke my mom got me my first switch shortly after it came out, lasted me 4 years even with rough treatment, just this Christmas since my computer is having troubles i had to boot the old switch back up on life support, my mom got me a OLED, it is a massive upgrade

I’ll wait for the next model. I’m still on the og switch.

I can’t believe that one of the major features was a kick stand that doesn’t start sliding around halfway through

I have the normal, I recently played with a friend who has the OLED, and I think the normal one is enough for me, since I hardly ever play it handheld

My birthday was recently and my mom and dad got me a switch oled and I love it soo much!

Not only do I only play handheld, but I also have the oldest model with the bad battery life and am not tech savvy enough to upgrade it, so the OLED was a life saver, providing a much better experience and a much longer battery life.

As someone who bought an oled a week ago its literally game changing

I upgraded and looking back at the normal switch it honestly looks like a toy, i didnt think the screen would be that much better but it kinda is, the extra stotage is also pretty cool and the kickstand is amazing

I still have the original switch from when they first launched. It tends to lag a bit and the battery life is horrible but I'm holding out hoping they come out with a pro model before my current switch dies.

The only video I agree with, when old was announced people were saying it wasn't worth the $50 extra bc no performance upgrades, this was coming from people with 3 switches.

There are a lot of bundles on which your switch includes in, just choose the switch with your favorite game

I remember getting the switch lite on Christmas and back then the screen looked pretty big, but now that i have the oled model the screen looks sooo tiny.

if you prefer handheld mode get an OLED it has bigger screen, more storage, more colors and better sound. if you want more internet speed, get the OLED as it has the wired connection thing (déjà vu?)

If you know that you are going to use handheld mode a lot it is worth it, but if you use it exclusively for handheld mode I would highly recommend getting the switch lite because it is much more comfortable and more economical. And if you don’t know and want to save extra money get the regular most people I have met only use handheld mode for

I have an OLED, and it really depends on quite a few things… How often you use handheld How long/often you tend to play How heavy/many games you want to play Special editions As somebody who has an average of 100-300 hours per game I play, and tends to play at least 3 hours a day, for me it was worth it.

Probably gonna get the splatoon 3 switch when it comes out and get my regular switch homebrewed to play mods

Yeah, I'd agree with this.

Here in Greece its actually cheaper for some reason and the switch is 280 while the oled is 320 so I ordered the oled with scarlet which was 40 and an off brand 10 dollar case for it all for 370, I think it was an awesome deal!

I do have an original Switch, I still bought the Switch OLED anyways. Let's just say that it's awesome, also i gave the original to my kid.

For me is worthy, I borrowed the V1 from a friend of mine, I can't stand the screen not bright enough for me, everything was dark. I bought Oled a week ago, is much clear and the joystick doesn't wobble. Maybe is because is still new but I like this better.

Depends on where you play If you take your switch on the go get an oled but if you usually keep it at home just get the regular version but i wouldn't recommend buying an oled if you already have a regular switch but you can upgrade if you have the often forgotten lite version but thats just my opinion

If you use handheld mode a lot I’d say it’s worth it, but if you’re like me and you leave it in the dock most of the time then just get a normal switch.

@TheChoujinYonko how? It’s literally more similar to a handheld than a home console. You literally never need to connect the console to a TV or something like that. If you really wanted to, you could only use the dock for charging and only play in portable mode.

Recently bought a used OLED in excellent condition with 5 games on Marketplace for $150 🎉

The dock is actually better with what's been added to it 😄

What I want is a Switch that can show all the little details and be able to tank the graphics without losing too many frames per second and a MUCH larger amount of storage and battery. The storage can’t handle more than 20 small and big games. And the battery is worse than an iPhone, which has a reputation for having a small battery capacity. Oh, and don’t even get me started on the cooling system - or the lack thereof. Oh, and they have SO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR VR, BUT DO THEY ACTUALLY TRY TO USE IT!? NO!!! They even made a port of Five Nights at Freddy’s Help Wanted, which is so much better in VR, but do they allow Labo compatibility? NO!!! They barely even use the gyro controls! I really want games like Hand Physics VR and games where you can physically move around and actually interact with objects and the environment, and I would pay up to $100 for a game like that! But Nintendo just doesn’t do what everyone wants them to do and sits in the giant pit of complaints and criticisms that they create for themselves

I will buy it at a discounted price after the next nintendo console released i dont want to pay fullprice for a second switch

They should bump switch down to 250 as it is almost 6 years old and have oled as 300, which is still quite expensive for the hardware

As someone who owned a switch switch oled and a switch lite. I kept the switch lite and sold the others.

My V1 launch day switch has had so many memories with me. The focus of actually performing well is still important, but taking in the fun of the game is my priority. I thought the original switch had a good screen, so the only reason why I plan to upgrade to the OLED switch is because the battery is so burnt out. I think it's more worth it if the reason why you're buying the switch is to play in a handheld mode more often then docked

Yeah I’m waiting for them to actually upgrade the software not just the aesthetics.

You forgot to mention how joy-con drift is still a thing, (Which was more than enough to convince me to get a PS5. Way more worth when you can play your favorite games at its fullest.) the switch itself tends to lag on bigger games that are meant to work on bigger consoles, and the fact that the online thing doesn’t work at all along with its emulator which sucks because then nothing works. It’s literally a waste of money on both consoles. You can get a PlayStation 4 or an Xbox One and guaranteed, those will work far better than the Nintendo Switch. Sure they set up an online paywall like how Nintendo did but at least their online service doesn’t suck. You can even play older games which, while not being as old, it can still be fun.

I'd only buy it if my switch got broken or something. It would be a different story if it was more powerful but it literally is just what the switch should have been in the first place.

My switch if falling apart, the left joystick is so worn out from 4 years of use, so I’m getting the OLED

I had to change my switch bcuz mine had water damage & tbh it’s a lot different & definitely worth it. Since I also play more in handheld

It also has more base storage than the normal switch (64gb instead of 32gb)

I have never used the “regular” switch soo I don’t know the difference but I do have the OLED Version it’s pretty sweet with taxes and a gave it will run u to like $450 if u get a case for it and screen protector maybe $500

Honestly if you play your switch more in handheld mode the old it is definitely worth it

I have the og launch switch and I haven't upgraded once, I am a huge Splatoon fan and arguably want to get the Splatoon 3 one, thoughts?

I'll be upgrading to the OLED only because it's the Splatoon 3 edition, but I'm honestly looking forward to giving my original switch a break, it could use it!

Another thing is the performance. The oled can give out a lot more

Tbh if you already have a switch it’s definitely not worth the upgrade. If you don’t already have one then I still don’t see why you would pay an extra 50 dollars for a switch that is basically the same with a few minor upgrades. + if you play on docked mode then it’s useless

If you mainly use the dock though its not really worth it
