You don't have to get the extras. People just convince themselves they need extras so it drives the price up 10's of thousands.

That is technically true, but if you do not special order a 911 without extras, it is going to be pretty hard to find a dealership that ordered a 911 for their inventory without options.

The targa is staying, but only as the GTS, no more 4S. Also, yea, all digital, no manual. Idk why. IDK WHY!

Great video! Particularly enjoyed hearing your thoughts in the last 2 minutes. Agree that the removal of the analog tach and starter has removed some 911ness and character from the car. Also good to see your 987.2!

I like the GTS and applaud the move to mild hybrid with electrical boosted turbo/supercharger, although I expect they will be produced in smallish numbers so us mere mortals will have difficulty getting our hands on one. The other models don't float my boat at all. The move to more electronic crap in the cabin across the range is disappointing, as is the width of the cars which will cause problems if you want to continue having fun away from traffic cameras on narrow twisty country lanes .

I agree. The lower trims are getting less and less appealing to me with every generation. The 997.2 was the peak, 991.1 was still very good, but it started going downhill from there

What about torque vectoring plus, is it standard on all models or optional? Did not see folding mirrors as option either.

this means my 992 carrera S cabrio will increase value or mantain the same in 3-5 more years.. fuck yes

I like your concise analysis. I think a manual transmission and should be available in a 911. I didn’t know the rectangular exhaust ports are artificial. That’s disappointing, too. Still, it’s a wonderful car.

The analog tach was really beautiful, but had a big issue as the steering wheel was blocking the two side screens. Its an issue all 992.1 owners complained about. Despite loving it, I really understand why Porsche decided to move forward to digital and more flexible digital tach.

I wanted the 992.2 GTS Cabrio with manual transmission, which I am not getting, the good news is the PDK is faster and they throw in the ACC for free as well as PASM for free. I guess I will suck it up and go for the 2025 911 GTS.

Will there be a carrera S version for 992.2?😊

The active flaps look truly awful on the GTS and just to the inside of these is an air inlet at an angle that doesn't even line up or blend with the bumper above at 2.41.Looks like an after market botch job.

@@carcaveofficial It might have a chance to grow on us if it lined up with the bumper and wasn't made of cheap grey plastic. Will stick with my 992.1GTS ice grey with gloss black aero kit. Whats more I don't need any more power and the instant torque rubbish takes away from playing with the gears.

Ice grey metallic might just be my new favorite color from Porsche. I didn't really get on the chalk bandwagon, or the arctic grey train, but ice grey is something special.

@@carcaveofficial Yes it is. I was a little worried about my choice until it arrived. Its a camelion colour and hard to photograph. Very much like a light but sparkling GT silver in the sun but then more flat grey on dull days. Never a dull moment, literally.
