i love Jag, currently own a XE, but the thought of a 4 cylinder engine in a car like this does not sit well with me. This type of car with its design should have a nice beefed up V-6 at minimum.

I never thought a 4 cylinder car would be going for 80k. Just a couple years ago the XE supercharged v-6 could be had for around 45k. Sure the F type is beautiful to look at but double the price for an inferior engine? I'll pass.

The P300 engine is fine 99% of the time and you can loose your licence with it should you drive like a numpty. It does not have the sound true. I have an XE P300 as I need 4 seats on occassion and it works fine on the motorway and Scottish B roads. Mind you P300 or P575 will look and sound the same at 0dB when parked up as we are on lockdown here. Bad time to launch a facelift. Bad time for just about anything.

@@Wyde_Boi No point me driving to the golf course as the 17th Tee is 10 yards from my back door......and I dont play golf. Me look cool - Not in this lifetime. I like jags, and the XE was best compromise. It only comes in 2litre 4 pot unless you buy 2nd hand. And yes, I dont pretend the road is a raceteack, the power is for safe overtaking not hooning around like a total fanny.

Six cylinder jeeplife Bruno I’m not a fan at all of a 4 cylinder in a car like this. The sound is such an important part of the experience. I drive the 8 cylinder about 5 years ago and I can’t forget it until now due to the sound. Why the 4 cylinder? Many markets have expensive petrol and also manufacturers have to provide cars with better MPG. Personally sound is too important for me though. It’s why I won’t sell my 2014 Raptor!

I love how this dude pays so much attention to the lines of the car. No other YT car guy does that. It matters!

Currently own the pre-facelift F-Type 2.0 liter, 4 cylinder.Test drove the V6, V8 and the SVR before making my purchase, and I don't regret it one bit. The 4 Cylinder is an underrated car. I absolutely love it. I average almost 640 km on a full tank. This coming out of a 2 seater sports car. It sounds brilliant when rolling, especially when the throttle is mashed. I will agree that it doesn't sound as good as the V6 or the V8, however, for a 4 Cylinder It sounds amazing. One thing for certain, It handles much, much better than the V6 and the V8. I test drove all 3 on the same road, around a bend. The 4 Cyl handled much better as it is lighter. Its also tons of fun to drive, being an RWD, you can do plenty to toss the car around. The car is a massive head turner, and people envy you wherever you go. I wouldn't trade it for anything else. If there's anything I would change about the car. I would say, maybe straight piping it to get a louder roar. Regardless, the growls and pops it make now are more than sufficient. In case you're wondering, no. I haven't had a single issue with the car - even though at times, I drive it like I stole it.

Europe has a enormous amount of taxes if you go up than 2000cc. That is the reason.

Love the videos, even in this time you’re putting out videos it’s great. Love this one and the v8. Could you do a video of the new v6? Arguably one of the f type’s main seller but often overlooked in term of reviews. Would be awesome

This redesigned Jaguar F-Type is very beautiful. Such an aggressive redesign done by Jaguar. A job well done 👍🏻 Interior and the seats looks very nice and neat. This boy should have at least a V6 engine in it though. That's the only zonk for me.

15:20 My F-Type R has adjustable side bolsters. There is a turn knob on the door by the other seat controls. Maybe that feature is reserved for the R models where it's needed most :)

Love the blacked out look, but that exhaust is weak when compared to the v6/8

Not only Jaguar had it’s bonnet open reverse way, many old cars used to had same way, even some old BMW.

Great review, I think the 4cylinder was designed mostly for Europe, due to emission laws & road tax now being calculated by co2 multiplied by engine size.

Glad they have options for every type of buyer but what kind of maniac options a 4 cylinder F type in automatic up to 80 grand. You must be able to get a decent option 6 cylinder for that much. If it was me, I’d be looking at a lightly used supercharged V8 from a few years back. Great video Joe. Thanks for the entertainment during this bummer of a time.

Like what I'm seeing, but too blacked out, for me. I've mentioned before, not a fan of Black Ops, styling. Nice P-Zero rubber, all around!! Respectable engine performance numbers for a 4 cyl. turbo, but would like more. "Umph", for $74,000.00! Interior, and center stack, are perfect, however, not sure about the seat bolstering and headrest. Business side is just as good, and makes it a complete package. When you first launched it, you didn't seemed thrilled or thrown back... 🙄 It's definitely a well balanced drive. Good point about the smaller engine hp/ weight transfer, balance. Would like more chrome, however, great review, thanks Joe! 🏁🏁

Absolutely stunning, but for 79k USD is an inline-4 enough? I'd imagine you can get an AMG c63s with a biturbo V8 for that money, or an LC500 with a NA V8.

You need to review the F-Type with the Supercharged V8. I would even settle for you reviewing a used one. That 4 Banger sounds like a vacuum cleaner. 😳

Gorgeous car 🔥😍

I love my 14 v8s. I think the current line of ftypes stands out as a car. The new one doesn't looks as great in the front imo. However, it's still a nice looking car. It's hard to face-lift something that was already perfect. But that front makes me think of an audi or Volvo. 🤷🏾‍♂️

When I looked at Jaguar I thought I would have a V8 because I really don't know about jaguars that much imagine if it did 🤘😁😎
