Looks great for installing drywall. I used my dewalt impact when I did it back then and there was the few times out of a hundred I sent it too far. And with lighter weight that’s less stress on the hand.

Yeah absolutely although they make specific guns for that now. But they do definitely take some getting used to. But it's an amazing tool!

similar low speed control as the old 2450-20

I love the control you have when it's impacting mostly. Being able to have it impact at that stupidly slow speed is really cool to not strip stuff.

Just got an M12 surge today, and it emits a high pitched noise that's especially noticeable when slowly holding down the trigger on level 1. Hopefully it's a noise that I can get used to, but it's annoying so far. I noticed that yours seems to make the same noise

All the Milwaukee brushless do that

@@RTFMhvac thanks for the confirmation. Yeah, I noticed that after watching several vids. It's pretty annoying, especially since none of my Bosch brushless make that noise

@@xxllljumpman23 I get used to it, actually kinda prefer now in a weird way lol. Have had my gen 2 m12 since it came out and I use it everyday

Ultimately, it’s way quieter than any impact driver. Especially for small to moderate sized fasteners. I do think it could be quieter though. Milwaukee seems to have built their brand around overpowered durable tools. By doing that, they somewhat lost sight of refinement/noise levels and Ergonomics. I think this is a step in the right direction. I have seen that makita might be a little quieter in some tests. But I don’t think Makita makes a compact version. This essentially has no competition.

Could you use this on ikea furniture at level 1?

Yeah, I bet. As long as you still be careful. You can feather the trigger down to nothing, so there's a lot of room for precision. I'm not sure the exact ft lb or in lb that the settings give.
