No. I love minifigures but if they really wanna make a basic set this expensive because of the minifigures, they should just make some type of accessory pack with iron man armor. I really do want these figures, but I can pick up some way better sets with $90.

No. The new helmets are bad (mainly because the face print doesn't fully line up with the lifting part), a decent amount of the figures are repeats, and the entire setup was changed which throws off consistency display. I would only get the Striker Armor (the helmet looks fine for that one) and whiplash, but off of Ebay for way less than $90.

I think the reason they put him in the final battle armour is because they're going to do a racetrack set with the mark 5 updated helmet piece. Don't think that'll work...

You should use Whiplash's hair for Defender Strange

The new helmet works for nano tech suits with different face plate, but the first 7 suits should stick to the old one. It was designed specifically for them anyway

I'm in the minority who actually like the new helmets. I mean when Lego redesigned the Batman cowl in 2012 or 13, I hated it at first but grew to love it over the years even if I really miss the original 2006 one. The Mk3 cool with the shorter ears I like as well for specific versions of the batsuit like DCEU, New 52 or Jim Lee Batman.

I like the new helmets. And to be honest, I like the other helmets that don't open too. I don't care that they don't open. I love them. They make me think more of the comics which is what I try to lean towards when it comes to my hall of armor

100% with you. The OG helmets were just too bulky for me and the opening mechanism is so much better on these new helmets. That said, I think different helmet molds are better for different sets of armor

I think i finally understand the fire hydrant, the one scene in the first iron man where the running gag was dum e spraying tony with a fire hydrant

The striker armor looks so great! I wish we had them before.

The most useful thing in this set is the face print and hair for Whiplash. The Ivan Vanko head and hair will be most useful for making a moc of the Iron Man VS Whiplash scene on the F1 track.

I love this set, however I will redesign the armor bays to fit the old one using pieces from my collection. In my opinion, the older armor section is better, still can’t wait to get this set!

The second blue schematic, I think, is the layout for one of the floors of Stark Tower. It looks similar to the one in the final Avengers scene where Pepper and Tony are reviewing the 3D blueprint of the Tower’s refurbish.

@@jonathanbarton834 probably is, after all most other things in the set are based off Iron Man 2, so that would fit in perfectly

We got a whiplash Minifigure finally and the new helmet piece looks great but it's not worth $90 to me

It’s more like they chose that version of whiplash because sometime down the road they are already planning to do whiplash version 1 with an F-1 car and Suitcase armor maybe destroyed limo. It’s almost a given.

I like the new helmet and on the Mark 3 it kinda reminds me of the Iron Man anime as it used the Mark 3 armor

I think the helmet would look great if the eyes were more sunken into the plastic like the original. That is really iconic for the comic accuracy and first two movies

I like the Audi and the table expo maps are printed. Other than that, I think the previous Hall of Armor looks and plays better. Not to mention much cheaper and more pieces.

I like the mark 85's helmet. It works for nano tech.

First impression on the helmets is really good, especially on the Mark III, but if I do get this set, I will have to compare it to the older style of helmet, which I think is also fine and acceptable. Definitely a controversial opinion for certain, but I also like the newer Stormtrooper helmet, which is very much despised, so I guess it makes sense. Besides the looks and angles on these helmets, I guess another glaring problem for many is the lack of consistency between helmets, especially for people who want to army-build (for Stormtroopers and Clonetroopers) or complete the entire set of armors (for the Iron man suits). I quite like the hot-rod, though I can see how to some, it may seem unnecessary. Also love the figures, all the little side builds, especially the DUM-E. The Hall of armors is nice and doesn't seem too different from previous ones, perhaps except with the placement of the stickers, which certainly would be an easy fix for those who don't like the current design (I'm guessing you would just have to move the sticker to the window frame piece rather than the banner piece and discard the rest of the pieces for those builds in particular, but I could be wrong about the sticker size and shape). Overall, love the set, though my one criticism is the stickers. I understand what they're going for, but as MiniSuperHeroesToday pointed out, it is just so hard to read them. I wish there was a way that Lego could still provide the holographic feel while making them easier to read/look at. The price could certainly be lowered a bit as with many other sets, though at least it's likely to go on sale at other retailers after a couple of months, which will be good. Probably better to wait for it to go on sale than to buy it at full price for sure

The car looks better than I expected

I'm probably going to get this set because I don't have any of these figures besides Nick Fury. Plus I like the builds.

I don't know if it's just me but I think this set would have benefited if the war machine armor was black instead of gunmetal Grey

As someone who owns the old one, this one seems cooler, a little overpriced, but it looks like a better playset. The other one is more of a display set, and I like to display my Lego.

the whole centurion thing with the helmet could mean we are getting a new one. Just speculation

I collect LEGO Iron Man figures and own every single one so I’m going to buy this set no matter what, but I definitely think it’s overpriced. The 2020 Avengers Tower cost the same amount and I felt that I got a lot more value out of that set than I will with this one.

Really good review and despite its downgrade on the helmets, I think it’s a really good set, I loved the map, the car, Whiplash and the Striker armour. I say it’s quite worth it. Do you think you could make a purist custom racetrack whiplash?

It's been 10 years since the old helmet was made. I feel the change was much needed. And what downgrade?

I got back into lego and don't have any hall of armors so this sets is kinda appealing to me but it's still too overpriced even though it goes for around 70 here

The helmets actually seem a lot better than I thought they were. I'd have to see them in-person. Far too expensive though.

I got this set for $23 at Sams 😭

And they didn't do Whiplash right either, he doesn't have a suit like Iron Man, he has a suit close in size to the Iron Monger

Is it worth it? No. Am I gonna pay it? Yup!

i don't like the new helmets I want the old ones back that can open because it just looks like iron mans head got crushed and remade

Is it worth 90$ HELL NO. I however was able to get it for 60$ just a few days ago coming into 2024 Got it for retail price. This one will probably be off shelves soon as they tend to lower prices by 25-30% a year after the sets come out, if they still stay on the shelves that long

❤🖤 im really happy that I was able to cop this set at just 53.99 on cyber monday 🙃👌 and no I do NOT think this set is worth 90 bucks 😅 tbh, I was not going to buy this set AT ALL if it wasn't put on discount or clearance because of the crappy price $ but I was very fortunate and I snagged it while I could 🙂 AND also because it will be retiring this year also. So it was all together a win- win

honestly pepper potts looked better in her white suit.
