I completed it last month, and yes, I think it's very helpful for someone brand new in the field. I have Graphic Design experience and from extra courses for myself, that's how I heard of UX and ended up doing Google's certificate program. I loved how it got me to understand the basics and overall process, but it doesn't go into anything as depth as you'd need it to. Like how to use Figma properly and the extremes of UI. It's mostly focused on the UX part of it like you said. So for a beginner, it's amazing. But designing and understanding app (Figma & Adobe XD) functions and tricks, that's where you learn on your own heavily.

This is helpful, I'm a Graphic Designer too and was wondering if it would be worth it for a possible pay bump.

This is nice to hear as many reviews I've heard are of people saying it's highly unlikely to land even an entry level job after completing this course. I appreciate your thoughts here!

Thanks for this! I think I'm going to try it out. I'm a Graphic Designer and the pay difference between Graphic Design positions and UX / UI Design positions is def worth it I think.

I completed this course in february and Ireally enjoyed how in-depth it was on UX, but after this program I realized I still have a lot to learn in User Interface design, currently working on that while hoping for my first gig.

I’m gonna go for it. Working in design for 20 years. Print, web, motion. Took a hiatus for the last 5 years. I’m coming back & want to be in the forefront of our field, which is to me UX/UI/Product design. For the price, experience they offer & it’s from Google, I’m excited! GLTA ✌🏼

One of the biggest downsides of this course is the peer-to-peer reviewing, it takes a long time and you just don't get meaningful feedback. You could do this course in just amonth if it weren't for all the waiting time but I guess then they wouldn't make sufficient money on it 🤨
