I'm keen to hear *your* thoughts on the new mics from Elgato? Have they really done enough to disrupt the USB microphone market?

Great channel and information is always on point, I default to sending everyone here to gain knowledge. Legend!
Good stuff! Always check your content out whenever a new product hits the market. Great review as always!
These videos are incredibly professional and always so informative right out of the gate! These actually got me curious o.o they look great! Thank you for the rundown!
Awesome video as always. I actually picked this mic up a few days ago and I have yet to dive into the Waze Link program. Tomorrow will be the day, now that I am more educated on the program. Thanks for an awesome video!!!
Thank you for this review, really helpful
Excelent Video! You gain a New sub! Waiting for the other comparison mics
Great video! Would like to see how this mic compares to the Shure SM7B mic.
Amazing as always! thank you!
Great video! Very helpful and thorough.
Yes, please do a mic comparison video. Always like your clean and clear style.
Amazing work!!! Thx 🙏
Your tips have guide me sooo much! Thank you for all you do for us small KZreadrs/Streamers can reach their dreams! You are such a genuinely nice and cool gentleman! Plus you like soccer! Which is amazing, HUGE soccer fan here as well. Thank you, Cheers to everyone trying to grow on KZread 🤙🏽
Thanks for the video, good job and yes i WANT the compare video ;) thanks GC.
I love your video's buddy. You can do everything you've stated with Voicemeeter and the Streamdeck using hotkeys and macros, but this looks soooo clean. Do you know if the Wave Link software will work with any mic or is it just Elgato?

Its Just with the Elgato Mic. It forces you to have the elgato Mic plugged in.
Great review, I'll be purchasing one for sure. I love Elgato gear.
Sold out everywhere, hope they build a lot more quick!
WOW ! thanks for this review.
First off, great video as always man!! Next, for someone who uses the Blue Yeti with Voicemeeter, do you think it makes sense to switch to the the Wave 1 (or 3) with Wave Link?
please do the full microphones comparison! Great video
I have a Yetti, Samson Q2U and now splurged on a Shure sm7b. Shure sounds amazing but not really that practical for live streaming unless its right up in your face. So I still use the yetti for that. However, seeing this video and software has made me want to purchase the Wave due to the interface being simple and clean looking. Too bad it doesnt work for any other microphones. Looks like this will be great for streamers that don't want a GoXLR or the ones that have the rodcaster instead.

Brooooo... KZread some videos on how to set that shure up and throw that anchor out! That mic is amazing and you don't have to be super close. GL!
An awesome video as per usual, Pete. 😁 👌 Cheers to you, my man! 🍻 P.S. A comparison video of the sound quality differences between the Wave 3, AT 2020USB, Blue Yeti, Quadcast & Røde NT-USB & would be greatly appreciated. 😁 👍 👍
Great content! How do you keep the glare off of your glasses while recording?
I have a Blue Yeti Pro and have a for a while and I'm quite amazed at the sound quality compared to that and the Elgato Wave's even though I use it as XLR and as much as I like the Yeti you are correct in the fact that it has so many options that it can make it more confusing than needed at times especially when I only using it for voice chat while I'm gaming. Honestly this makes me wonder if it would be worth swapping mics because of form factor as the Blue Yeti being so big on a boom arm I can't have it very close to my face so it picks up a lot of background noise. The software is the real game changer for me especially if they plan on updating it more in the future. 10/10 review thanks man.
Happy with my mighty Samson G-Track Pro. It's a beast mic and is solid. I do like the look of the Waves though, they have the classic, elegant Elgato look we've all come to expect. Nice review.
i have no idea what happened to wave 2 . hahahahaha
Def buy for the mixer alone. Design is nice too ✨
Great run through, I want to mess with Wave Link big time now.
Great video
Great Video!
Just picked up the Wave 3 from my local store. I think for an amateur / casual streamer this is the perfect mic. And it looks sleek!
Unrelated question, but can you share how you design your thumbnails? They're great!
If they sold the software I'd be all about that. But I have a blue yeti, I might as well get something bigger later. If I was a new buyer sure it stands out because of the software

From what I could hear (not on reference monitors) audio quality was decent. Very good for price range. I definitely would be interested if they incorporate EQ, FX, Gate, Compressor, and ducking into their software!
The thing that is most tempting is the fact that you get the Wave Link software, I think streaming at a semi standard level requires the ability to do what the Wave Link allows you to do and for a cheap price for the Wave 1, not only do you get the mic, you get the Wave Link which is what sells it for me.
Watching your videos helped me grow on twitch so fast it doesn't even feel real..i can never thank u enough for the help
I have the AT2020 and have loved but I think I might pull the trigger on the El Gato, as I occasionally need a 2nd mic for podcasts / other production. That software seems to be a game changer though and would love to see it released separately, but the mic seems solid from what I've heard so far. Would love to see the comparison to the AT2020 though!
Please make the full comparison video!
I would really like to see a comparison of all the big name mics in this price range like you talked about possibly doing in the video.
The Wave Link software is an absolute *godsend* because I tried setting up VoiceMeeterBanana several times, and that was absolute hell.
Please do a vs between the wave and hyperx quad cast.. brilliant video
Yes please make the comparison video!
Would really love a round-up of 100-200$ mics!
Hey there, thanks for the video. Do you think there is a way to hear music without stream being able to hear it? That would be neat.
Nice video ! , one question : have the monitoring zero latency ? Thanks
I've been binge-watching Wave videos since purchasing it earlier this week. I'm going to be getting it shipped to my home tomorrow and I can't be any more excited than I already am. Through sheer luck I was able to order it directly from Best Buy with a significant employee's discount. I couldn't have it ordered to be held at the store, instead it was shipped directly at my address which means I won't see it until I get home from my shift tomorrow. I was super disheartened when it was completely out of stock everywhere else, so the first opportunity I had I took it.
I have a Blue Yeti but very tempted by Wave3, because of the Software included.
i'm still confused who will i need to buy my whislist is samson c01u pro and now the brand new mic elgato wave 3 is coming out did someone can give me any recomendation ?
sir you are inactive for too long we want more awsome contents..❤
Congrats on 246k! Can you do a facebook gaming stream setup for OBS? :( you are the only one with a nice voice and you explain ALL!
What are your thoughts on making your voice sound great with the mic, in voicemeeter i used your video to get settings to help make your voice have that lower tone and sound better using snowball mic. Does the wave 3 with wave link allow you to do the same thing? Also does the wave link software with the wave 3 from elgato replace voicemeeter if you were using it before? Will you be making any videos how to setup wave 3 mic and software with streamlabs obs?
It looks like a good mid range mic to have competed up against the at2020 which I am an owner of an at2020 myself and imo the wave mics and the at2020 sounded similar with your voice as the yeti sounded like it had more bass
I’d love to see Elgato make a dynamic microphone. One that’s aesthetically pleasing but also sounds great. Similar to the road Podmic but not as expensive as the SM7B. The Podmic is too small for my liking.
I heard recently that the elgato mics come with mixing software that can change tone, and add effects. Is that true, or was that referencing what you showed here with the channel control software?
What mic stand do you for it? And how did you put it up?
Never really would have thought Elgato would make decent microphone with a convenient interface
Can you mix a capture card in the software as well?
Why does'nt this guys have atleast 1M Subs? he deserves it! He helped me setup my own gaming channel 🙏
Would love to see a comparison with Mackie EM-USB. Cheaper then wave 3 but both USB-C with very similar features on the mic.
I'd pay to have the Wave Link software over Voice Meter as a standalone product. I'd like to see if Elgato continues to improve this software and comes up with a way to create a 'vBan' feature as well. The plugins for stream deck for voice meter are buggy so seeing Elgato create something like this gives me hope for future builds and improvements. If possible, can these be compared against common XLR Mics with something like the Scarlett Solo with an XLR attached?
I am tempted to get the microphone, mostly due to Wavelink. I have used Voice Meter Banana, its good, but so complicated. Wave Link looks so elegant and simple. Thanks for that video!

You can do all of that with Voice Banana, Look up some videos lol. Elgato straight up scam
A close comparison between the others in the price range would be invaluable pls sir
Is it to late to ask for the comparison with the elgato waves vs all the others?
I was streaming earlier this week and my Yeti was bugging the hell out of me. Looking back at footage and I'm just done with it. The next day Elgato announces this. To me, that was a clear sign. Screw it, purchased the Wave 3 today. I'll let you know what I think of it when it comes in.
what light do you use to color your background ?
I just got the Yeti X and Elgato come out with this
Please Test/Review GoPro Hero 8 Black (IRL) Live Streaming to twitch. Great content btw :)!
I think for someone who already has a Yeti, it's no use getting one of these as an upgrade, even with the software. If I upgrade I might as well get a budget XLR package with the AT2020 or something
I would like to see the comparison video.
hyper x vs elgato pls

Agreed
Would like an option to use the software without having to buy the mic when they eventually add VSTs or processing of some sort. I already own a good microphone
Yeah but how do you do audio ducking or any independent sourcing
I need the elgato mic for use wave link?
I would buy the microphone and the kit, but the main thing is the software. Imagine if the Software could be teamed up with the GoXLR, a Mixer and the Stream Deck and the control over the volume will be an Ideal Stream
There never was a Wave 2. The number relates to the number of functions that the physical volume button has. On the 1, it only controls the output volume, but the 3 let's you cycle through 3 different functions for the dial.
A good option for those who don’t have a GoXLR!
@steeziology

My thoughts exactly!
@lightninlarry8936

I would argue that it’s almost better than the GoXLR since you can have different volumes for the audience and the streamer. And since it can be integrated into the stream deck it’s one less thing on the desk.
@rileysalm3108

LightninLarry yeah you just don’t get any real hardware aspect to it which is the trade off. For example I can mute, raise, and lower volumes of 4 different tracks while tabbed into a game.

i ordered a go xlr mini today, then read about this software :(
CAn you please do the comparasion between Hyper X QuadCast and Elgato's !?
So what should I buy Samson G track pro or Wave 3? I need it for streaming. If you could help me it would help me alot :)
I'm interested to know if WAVE LINK can support stereo
When using the Stream Deck + Wave:3, would you still need to use the Game Capture for streaming?
This is basically like voicemeeter👀👀
how to use with game consoles, how would you monitor if using a gaming headset?
I thought you would try the clipguard option.
I’m using the elgato hd60 s on slobs for Mac and my game audio on fb live and twitch won’t sync up no matter what I do it’s not syncing up idk where or who else to turn to and it’s very frustrating. For example on apex legends I can shoot a weapon and the audio for the weapons initial shot is late. Please suggest or tell me what to do to fix the issue.
Wow. This solves the fact of having to use Voicemeter Banana and additional Digital XLR Cables. Golden! I wonder if this can work with other mics too. Why is this sold out already?
@lain2779

Elgato has stated that it works with other microphones, but you need a wave microphone from elgato connected to the PC to unlock the software. Greedy, but understandable I guess.
Maybe this is stupid question, but, Can i use WaveLink with my AT2020 XLR mic?
Wave Link requires Wave mics in order to work, obviously. Possible to bypass this as with Rtx audio? I think Wave link is less resource hunger than Voicemeeter
If you had to choose between the Elgato Wave 3 and the Rode NT-USB, which would you go for?
Please make a video for Facebook live setup obs.
DO you need the mic to use the software?
I followed your steps of how to insert your gameplay but it doesnt show on twitch, theres a blank black screen but you can hear the sounds as I am clicking the game. By the way what is that program thing
Does running a mixer program instead of a physical mixer bod down a PC or could it
Does Wave Link work without the microphone? Like work with any kind of mic, like a iPhone headphones with the mic on the lead?

From what I have seen from other reviews, absolutely not. The Wave Link will ONLY work with the Wave line of microphones. Sorry!

Just tested. It demanded I plugged in a Wave microphone. So no, it won't work without it. Shame, because if it did, I could have got my best friend to be able to use that for audio management (since she uses a Razer Seiren X, but it's in quartz pink, so the Wave 1/3 won't tempt her). I don't need it thankfully as I have mixer hardware.
Can you add a 2nd none elgato Mic?
You should do a video on how to sync up webcam, commentary and gameplay.. pleaseeee!! I am struggling with this soo much! Or does anyone know how to fix this?! Please help 😞
Could you do a video on recording game play please I have a 2 PC set up and want the best high quality way of recording game play thank you buddy
Comparison with Rode NT-USB would be awesome :)
good comparison with rode NT usb ")
now I have no idea what to do. I went to an inexpensive Behringer dynamic mic/interface combo and was waiting for the goxlr mini to get back in stock so I can get rid of the dreaded VM Banana, but now......... ???
Does the elgato wave link software also work with other mics ?
