for some reason, you left out the most important thing, the video quality. The output video quality of the pocket 3 is way better than of the X3 and when it comes to low light, the X3 is even more bad. I know what I'm talking about, I too have both of them. Best regards from Germany, Rudi.

@@kmalramu I never had an temperature issue with the pocket 3. Just keep in mind, the quality that comes from a 360° camera even if it's the X4, will never be as good, as from the pocket 3, especially in low light, were the X3 and X4 are really bad. Even the 8k from the X4 won't give you 4k output after reframing. Mainly the X3 / X4 is more rugged than the pocket 3 with it's gimbal, further, the pocket shouldn't get wet, while the X3 / X4 is waterproof up to 10m. It depends on what you mostly wanna do with the camera. On the other hand, the lenses of the X3 / X4 are vulnerable too and you have to take care of

Hey Sean, i do love to take sphere look photo so i can upload into street view, this re-live the memory wherever you have traveled. i think both camera has their use case. the pocket 3 probably suits a slower pace filming style, while the X3 will be action cam. both camera type are different. thankssssssss

Hey James! Definitely. Both have their specific use cases and for very different scenario. And I’m happy to have them both in my arsenal. Like you said, a slower pace videos style, or more cinematic videos is great. 👍🏽

I think both cameras have their versatility, but it is not the same type. We can consider that the fact of framing after the fact is an advantage, but it is also an additional constraint. Where the Pocket 3 is far superior to the X3 is in low light. The X3 will be totally incapable of following where the Pocket 3 will be comfortable. Even the OneRS with One Inch Leica Mod ca’n’t compete in low light. So actually I think it's necessary to have both to cover a wide range of uses. I have a OneRS with the 360 module and the Pocket 3. I use both simultaneously in multicam to cover different and complementary camera angles

Really temped by the Pocket 3’s 1” sensor but I agree the X3, to me, is still the better camera. Biggest thing is not having to think to point/aim the camera at all. The camera basically sees more than I do and records it. The moment insta360 makes a smaller 1” 360 camera in this X3 size, I am sold but until then; X3 all the way. Why they haven’t made the current 1” 360 cam smaller beats me. The current X3 size and shape with a 1” sensor would be golden.

I've iphone 13 mini & insta360 & I really want to buy the dji Pocket 3, but I feel like it's more of a want than a need. These reviews about the dji have me tempted. But I'm also thinking maybe I should use my iPhone more. Would you say the combo of iphone 13 mini for vlogging & insta360 for creative shooting are good enough combo? I really want the dji, but i also feel like im falling for this shiny object syndrome.

If you are looking for the better quality, and low light recording, the pocket 3 will win in both areas. unless you're wanting the 360 view, pocket seems like better choice for you. which did you end up getting?

I'd still go for the Pocket 3 for it's good enough wide FOV, better low light capabilities and it's gimbal. Mostly because I don't live a lifestyle where I need 360° video (yet). But the X3 does have a more versatile FOV, but I don't like 360 vidoes 😂. Otherwise, both pros and cons. Nothing is perfect anyway.

I have the 1st pocket, the gimbal was error, and im too lazy to get to the service center. So, still thinking to get pocket 3 or not

2 difference era tbh. I have both (x4)If I want to vlog about some subject or Conversation with friends or vlog for a city definitely pocket 3. All other stuff x4 definetly. I know I could do everything with x4 but pocket 3 resolution is something else

Nice and informative video,but you are comparing potatoes with onions 😉 You know probably much better than me, that these two cameras are created for totally different purposes ! I think, that the Insta360 is the most innovative brand right now and I am fan of their products ! But the P3.....c'mon man. This camera competes with cameras triple the price of the P3 and still holds up pretty-pretty good if we are talking about image quality. For action purposes = nothing better than the insta360 products. For casual video shooting like traveling, nature walkings, outdoor vlogging and a budget not more than 1000€ nothing better so far than the P3 I have a small channel here about walking tours around the world and I can say, that the design of the P3 saved me many times from scandals on the streets because the people especially in Europe are kind of.....NOT saying crazy when it comes to someone is filming something around them. Maybe they are afraid of not stealing their souls....I don't know 🤷‍♂️ Anyway, my point was, that the P3 doesn't look like a regular camera at all and this personality for me is another huge advantage of the P3 !

@@Valenciavisitors2 choose pocket 3 if you want high quality videos, insta360 x3 is only for social media like FB. I own both and my x3 is absolutely worst in content videos for KZread.

I can't figure out why not just buy the 360 for its features, and use your iPhone in place of the pocket cams. besides iPhones being huge these days, what is the pocket 3 going to do that my iPhone 15 can't? besides be on a gimbal...

The video quality of the pocket 3 is way better

If the insta360 X3 records in 5,7K and the DJI pocket 3 in 4K why then does the DJI pocket 3 has better video quality? I thought 5,7K is higher than 4K? Thank you

Because 5.7k at x3 is spreaded for 360 quality. And once you reframe the image for normal screen, its just equal 1080p
