Is the DARK GREEN VIK 2 The Single-Skinned Backpacking Tent That You've Been Searching For?

Trev has yet another Naturehike Tent to test out - the Naturehike Single skin Vik 2 wild camping tent in a decent stealthy Dark Green, ideal for the most low profile wild campers out there.
PLEASE NOTE - I AM 5' 9" and NOT 6' 9" as I say in the video 🤦‍♂️ and yes, I have reviewed a tent with opposing door openings - the 3fUL Taiji 2! I'd forgotten that I had seen that!

One of Trev's favourite tents was the Vik 1. Well, this 2 man version of the tent is a decent weight and pack size, but is it worth the slight extra weight for the space gained?

The Lanshan 2 pro has opposite doors opening. Mostly found it a weird feature for having just one side design. I like the Vik - a nice addition with the green color. I've used the Vik 1 for years even though I have much more expensive and lighter tents, i just love the Vik 1 😊

Thanks for the video. Your videos helped me decide on a Vik 1 and I love it. I dig exoskeleton tents. The green Vik 2 looks great. Wish there were a dark navy blue version. I'd also prefer the doors open the opposite way. More options to place your cook kit when the wind changes. I like how the Mongar 2 doors open, but I understand they're trying to reduce weight with the Vik 2.

6 foot 9!..... With your 70's disco platform shoes maybe... ;). Tent looks nice. I think the color would blend in a lot more in the forest. Hopefully they corrected some condensation issues. Single wall will always have a bit of dew on the inside walls but the last one was pretty moist!

I like the vik but the issue i see is those doors. Same problem as some msr tents. When the doors open in slight rain it drips inside the tent as the zip goes along the roofline. Not an ideal design for uk weather. Good to see you back though. Hope the house move went well.

People with tents that have alternative side doors wish they had them going the same way as people laying next to you cant access it given it opens at the foot end, unless its your mate and they are laying oposite to you. SO the only way is half circle doors that are full length.
