Didn’t know much about the Mugen side of Honda before so it was cool to see what they do. Maybe it would be good to see more on the JDM tuning arms of the manufacturers

Sad that this is now in the past. Mugen is now dedicated itself to aero kits of questionable design and construction. Nothing more on the side of performance. For that you have Spoon or Seeker…

Honda really got a the styling of a number of generations of civics right - still look fresh today.

Currently own that era of Si; such a great car from the factory (minus the interior). I can only imagine the improvements made with this car

Absolutely in love with the RR, being it was the last TRUE Type R made.. Amazing machine😍

One of my all time favorite cars, a video of this on the road would be excellent.

@ Torque GT, Jeezus christ just where on EARTH did you manage to physically see one? Rumor has it that now less than 100 of these exist!!!! Always loved FD2 looks and it's definitely timeless indeed! 🙌🙌

@@battosaijenkins946 I've seen 2! One in Scotland and one in England. There are definitely more than 250 still going. I only know 4 confirmed crashed ones. Most of these cars have ended up in Hong Kong and Australia with the crazy rich Asians :P

These machines aren't for drag races and I really cannot understand why the Western are so fantasies on drag races that purely on bhp numbers.

Love Honda, and a big fan of Torque GT (still got my DC5, thanks!). But this car more than many will struggle to justify the price tag. I know there are lots of people out there for whom £80 grand is chicken feed, but for a Civic? Even one as scarce and special as this? Don’t get me wrong, someone will pay the money, if they haven’t already. I’m afraid this is an example of rarity/exclusivity spoiling a car, it’s cost places it in the ‘store in the garage’ category. Who in their right mind is going to pay that much for one of these and then actually use it? We all want our own JDM metal to appreciate, but some recent examples have been ridiculous. To that end… New idea, Torque GT: car hire. Rather than charge £150,000 for one person to buy a mint R34, charge £150 an hour and let everyone have a go! That would get you included in my will! Thanks for the excellent service before, during and after buying my car, and glad to see your videos are going again. Maybe a tribute to the old DC5 would be good for a future episode?

Some very well made points there. Yeah cars like this won't be driven very much on the roads, never mind the track where this car was made for. Just curious to see how stiff it is on the road Torque GT? I remember when my brother had a standard FD2 and it was really firm on the roads here so I would guess the RR would be even stiffer again.

I doubt it because its not like a standalone car that was built from the ground up by Mugen - just a package essentially so doubt the officials over there would deem it special

Not a fan of the fd2, the proportions are all wrong with a very short mini-vany front and the saloon rear. Even if there were 300 of these and many thousands of nsx, s2000 or integras out there those would still feel more special to me. Do like everything Mugen did to it though 👌

The best is the nsx-r. The second best car is the integra type r. The greatest fwd car to modify is the civic eg

I neqrly imported one of these when they came out for £35k... What a mistake that was.

This is the shape of the Mugen wind deflector. The light does indeed make it look strange but definitely not broken. 😊

Glad mugen did their thing with this one. Not the biggest fan one of the ugliest generations imo. Aside from the engine not a big fan of this one. Id rather swap that k20rr in a 90s civic
