I used this exact welder to weld expanded metal and braces on two four wheeler racks. It worked great and the duty cycle was more than what was listed. Great little homeowner machine

I have this exact welder, works great with proper prep and can actually weld decent welds. Not exactly pretty but had it over a year now and still works for small projects. Definitely worth the price I think.

Bought that same machine at a garage for $25. Most uses have been exhaust repairs and a good bit of sheet metal. It trips my 20 Amp breaker when I juice it up. I use my genset to fix that. It does what I need. It does fine. My buddies borrow it and like it. I think it well worth the usual advertised price. I don't need comforted by using an expensive top shelf machine.

Haha. You know, I was actually pretty pleased with that welder. Yes, I pointed out its (many) faults, but it DOES work and for $89, thats incredible, and all I expected of it :) Fun fact, one of the visitors to the shop actually bought this thing from me, I can't remember who but I think it was one of the salesman from a company that I shilled for who wanted to mess around with it for some reason LOL

I kind of remember this video. I have a similar welder here in Canada. If you put proper wire in them, get the feed figured out and toss the gas nozzle away you can do a lot with it. I have been able to do up to 1/4" multiple pass without issue.

I have a 300 dollar flux core wire feed welder it's 110v runs great on a 25amp breaker. My issue is the way you keep referring to the fact that it's gas less and the impression i get it's you think having a gas shielded welder is the far superior machine. As a ticketed welder of 25 years i can tell you that with proper prep and knowing your amp and wire speed settings you can weld thicker that 1/8 and the welds are just as strong as a mig machine produces. Having said that your 2 switches limit your amp/ heat choice my flux core machine has a dial and a 75%duty cycle. Good review of the super cheap crap but 110 flux machines can be great if you get the right one

My Hobart Handler 140 laughs at this machine. Definitely welds circles around this one. Yeah I would definitely save up and spend the extra money on the Hobart 140. 🤣 😂

I had one that I used for exhaust work. I just tac weld with it so it never tripped the breaker. If I tried a steady arc it burned thru. I have a Lincoln now. My welds suck but they hold and are strong, although ugly. I'm learning hahaha

I noticed these and similar models are about the same as the Chicago Electric version just different labels. But they are ok once you learn them.

I got you beat! Bought a new "M.I.G " welder on eBay, $75. Upon receiving said product and opened the package, it turned out to be a stick welder 😛😁😅😂🤣 benefits? It's actually dual 220/110 v. 9o, 110, 130, + 160 amps. Smaller dynn (sp?) connecters, and small enough to take anywhere 😛😅👍🏼 as far as performance over the last yr I've had it? Well, I can't stick weld for crap, so...no idea 💡, however, it's still working, so... that's something 😁🤔😛

What's the point if you run a welder on 110v of course you need a dedicated 110 outlet @ 20A or 30A. In your next video buy from ebay and buy the cheapest machine with 240V input or both. You also might look at the specs and buy one you feel would make a difference to a person that will actually use one. THX good video.

Noob, you need a clean 20 amp circuit.030 wire can give Tig like results and a plastic drive assembly is a sure indication of a POS machine, even the cheap harbor freight machines will weld ok but some dork decided a 6 ft stinger was good enough, pain in the but to do actual fabrication.
