I still use my T4i's for portraits, animal shots, eBay stuff, and landscapes. I use manual everything for videos. For me, it's the user and the lenses that make it work great. Really like that you still like yours. Thanks for the excellent video.

Thanks for the comments on your experiences with the T4i. I have two of these that I bumbled into real cheap in online purchases. I have one T4i on my copy stand for straight-down photography for online product sales. I have one more that I plan to put in place of the 77D that I use for most photos. It almost seems like I'm wasting the 77D on that, when the T4i would suffice in the way I use it (aperture priority stopped way down, live view, low-res setting). T4i doesn't have WiFi like the 77D, but I'm having trouble with the 77D disconnecting anyway and I'm figuring I might as well just fish a USB cord to it and not deal with the problems since I just use it on a tripod in a studio setting. Video is not MP4 like on the 77D so file size is bigger, which I don't like, but I don't shoot a lot of videos and I have other cameras that I could use for that when needed. I guess this means two T4i cameras still actively in service in 2022!

I just picked one up at a thrift shop for 20 bucks and am charging as I am typing now. I really like the photos at the end they seem film like.

Thanks for the video, just looking to get into photography. I have spent years editing other peoples images with envy. One of these local to me came up cheap, might take plunge and grab it to start out with. I care little for video quality mainly photo quality only.

I have a T6, not the i version (facepalm) so if i want to shoot decent video with an external mic (although it'll be mostly for guitar covers) I need something completely new haha so this is probably gonna go with. Thanks for the review

Use my T4i still for product shots for work, most non-professionals use their iPhone 12 - 13 as it has way more functionality. But just some nagging feeling I should hang onto some old tech! Same goes for my windows 10 PC. For what I would get selling, I would rather have it by me.

Can the double sd card slot problem be fixed by just having an sd card with huge storage?

You'd want two separate cards for redundancy in case one cards files got corrupted or w/e other bad thing you can think of.

I bought mine in 2013 the same week it went on the market. I still use it today. Except for the few focus points which is really annoying, it is a camera at the level of cameras from the last period. And like you said, it's a workhorse. Only recently did I really decide to study it in depth and discovered that it is a cache of functions. I'm now buying a series R because in the end the focus points are quite a disturbing thing and the series R has like a billion focus points..

focus points? why not a5100, M6 - m200 and m50mark2, M10-IV? lumix s1? Honestly why do need billions of em now?

@@miki_marker You're absolutely right, unless it's a video. In still photography there is no need for so many focus points. But on video, it's quite frustrating.

It does not! It will automatically split your video if you shoot for longer than 30 minutes.

Yes the video auto focus sucks. Literally it’s always almost there lmao
