Love my BSD Revos but can't deny they do occasionally engage on me. Something you just have to keep in the back of your mind and be ready to jump off at any given moment. Much prefer this tech over the old style clutch freecoasters.
I’m sure that the hub is only 250$ and the complete wheel and hub is 330$
Informative video thanks
I rode BSD Revolution and I much more liked traditional clutch based hub. I bend axle when spare parts weren’t available, got random engagements and what I didn’t got used to was no pedal pressure while ending a fakie. It’s just my way of doing fakies that on the last moment of rollouts I do a 1/4 crank forward to get some speed before next trick. Suuuuper annoying in 180 bars and 180 whips. Smashed my knee on the stem to many times.
Hell yea that’s exactly how I feel I got the complete wheel of it off of source I honestly love it, only complaint is price
Summed it up perfectly
Can you do a review on the tracer edge bmx?
I found the bsd hub only engages when I accidentally put pedal pressure mainy on my front pedal but it could be just me
Ive fixed mine too many times and im tired of it.. ordered another one🌚 only because mines been in the wheel for about 3 yrs.. but definitely better than a freecoaster
I bought mine at cost from the shop I work at. Broke within a week and now it has like 3 pedals of slack. I tried everything to fix it as well…

Question, what can you tell me about the GT The Fueler 22" I have a chance to get one for $569 is it quality?
@TheDwightMamba
Жыл бұрын
The GT bikes are a bit overpriced, but still great rides. The welds are ugly compared to their old stuff, but they use decent parts. My only real complaint is that they only true their wheels side to side. The wobble from not being centered on the hub is noticeable, but easily fixed at any bike shop. I recommend bringing the wheels stripped.
How much would shipping on the contest bike be to UK if I won?
@Dougsterbob
Жыл бұрын
Bro I just put it in on bike flight and shipping came out to about $259 but the damn customs in the uk is $770 for duties customs and fees since it’s a $1700 bike bringing it to $1000 😳 if I put that the bike is only worth $100 shipping comes down to $327 with premium protect up to $2000. I’m sure there’s a way to get it a bit cheaper but a few hundred for shipping forbsure

Different type of system. The hybrid you take pieces out to make it a freecoaster

Didn't you pay 350 for a _complete wheel_? So why did you keep saying "I paid 350 for the hub"? As far as I've read about it, the hub has always been around 250, and now it's possible to find one at 200.
Random crank engagement is NOT a trivial problem, it's a deal breaker. I've been using the BSD Revolution hub for about a month, and was very excited to try it after watching hours of videos hyping it up. While the hub is well made, I have actually purchased a new rear wheel to replace it. The BSD engages about 75% of the time when I'm rolling backwards standing on my rear pegs. Should be 0% in this scenario. When exiting a bar endo and rolling back, it engages 90% of the time, so I have to exit as if I'm using a cassette. WTH. When rolling up a bank, and then simply rolling back, it engages 99% of the time. Should be 0% in this scenario. So I ordered an Odyssey Clutch V2, and will see how that hub works. To me if the hub can't be trusted to perform (not engage unexpectedly) it's not usable. Very costly experiment for me.

This is purely down to the way you’re riding it, you will have your weight on your front foot which will cause the random engagement. I’ve seen a lot of people who have gone from a cassette to this hub and always have this problem. You just need to learn to keep your feet still and stay centred on your bike (leaning over your bars will put weight on your front foot) and not to reach for the engagement with your front foot

@@lewishughes3914 I'm not a cassette rider, so that explanation doesn't apply to me. Rolling backwards on the rear pegs should never engage a freecoaster. I've had the Odyssey Clutch V2 hub for about a month and it has been 100% predictable, and has not engaged unexpectedly even once.
