I am 75 years old and have had my Big Ruckus since it was new in 2006. I love riding it in the country and around town. It gets lots of looks and positive comments. I am surprised at the number of people that know all about it. I am one of the people who would buy one.

Sorry, but when you only want to see the world from your own viewpoint and refuse to consider another point of view, you will never understand. I have had my Big Ruckus from 2006. First, who says a scooter must have a scooter look? Second, what if I like the motorcycle look, but don't want to screw with shifting gears? I fell in love with the Big Ruckus because I like the look, the storage options on it, the back seat supports my back, and the flat foot rests are great. I don't care for the scooter look anyway, so that option is off the table. I've built a box for the back with a lock on it. It makes a great trunk.

I'm a 64 year old granny, 5' 1" tall with a 28 " inseam, and I'd buy it. My first bike was a Honda trail 90 at 12 years old and my last one was a Ninja 250R, drove it for 3 years in Atlanta. The little Ruckus doesn't have enough oomph to get out of trouble if you need it. I live in the mountains of western North Carolina and the 50 wouldn't even make it up the hills that I drive up and down to get to town. If I find a Big one nearby I'd definitely go and have a look see, looks like fun to me.

You missed the point. The 250 ruckus is designed to be all an purpose vehicle . The larger frame is perfect for the larger rider. It has the ability to pack your gear and take off for a vacation. Orloadup your tools and go to the boat yard. Yes its a handy pickup on two wheels. This machine can do highway speeds. Its a better value when its more useful. It is two bad Honda stopped production in favor of the 250 rebel which is a useless sized motorcycle.

I've had one for about 3 yrs....I love this little scooter. I'm a tall guy with long legs. The footrests are easily extended forward and even lower if that adds to your comfort. Mine are extended forward about 3 inches. It will easily go 70 + MPH. Fun to ride, always gets it's share of attention because they are rare. Available only 2 years, 2005 & 2006 with only about 2400 units imported. Because of the rarity, they will only go up in value. To me...most scooters look like they are built for girls or sissy's...not this scooter...it's definitely a guys bike. My other bike is a Indian Scout ABS 1200 cc. Ride them both a lot, like them both. That being said....I can imagine selling the Indian someday....NEVER the Big Ruckus.

I never cared to own a motorcycle until I saw the big ruckus for the first time. To my surprise it was no longer being manufactured. I ended up getting the baby ruckus. Well, my baby ruckus was stolen this summer. I wanted to buy a new one but nobody had them in stock. I ended up getting the Navi and motorcycle endorsement as required. Now I want to upgrade but nothing on the market interests me. I wish Honda would bring back the big ruckus. I'm in my early 50s and all the other alternatives you mentioned are too sporty for my needs and style. The big ruckus is the perfect utility motorcycle just like the baby ruckus is the perfect utility scooter.

I do not own a Big Ruckus but I have had an interest in them since they come out in 2005 especially the 2006 model which looks so much better. I have no skin in the game so perhaps my opinion may count or not. I don't think that people that buy them are dorks as you suggested, I just think that they like the look (more motorcycle then scooter), its a Honda so you really can't go wrong. They have some of the best resale value in the market today (i wish they did not - waay too expensive) but they make you feel like you are riding a Harley (kinds sorta but not really) and that is cooler than riding a scooter anytime. They offer nice versatility, bring a friend or ride like a king. This is what continues to peak my interest after all these years plus I'm a big Honda person, bikes, cars, generators and so forth. I do get your review BTW but I think there is more soul to this bike then this review suggests, then again what the heck so I know. Thanks for sharing BTW.

I fuss with my gloves and helmet when I get off a motorcycle so I'll be damned if I'm going to be thinking about a backpack too. This scooter has a key in the center-front of the seat which allows it to slide back another four inches and a backrest and big normal handlebars which can take a fairing. You can live in fear of people stealing from you or be happy, ergo, the junk in my life i need to think is important can stay on the rack in back. That means no backpack between me and the big back rest.

Key word, SEEN. I ride them instead and Ruckuses (Rucki?) are fun but slow and their performance is inferior to motorcycles of the same displacement. It's perfectly fine to like them and the little ones make good pit bikes, but Honda already offered many more superior bikes for any use. The Cub isn't the most successful motor vehicle in history by accident.

Dude thank you so much for the laugh, your transition to reality at 3:15 was so funny and true. All while you were speaking before that point I was think about how ugly and a waste of $ this would be for me. No offense to anyone who likes or owns this bike.

hold on .. a 2 seater scooter the rear seat turns into a cargo carring space but only up to 20.kg ... so does that mean the passenger has to weigh up to 20.kg aswell 🙈

No lol, a backseat rider's feet are also on pegs, which help support their weight better. It's about weight distribution, not the seat.

Vehicle Hunter, I want a moped, and if my underpaid self, can get one, I kind of have my mind in the direction of Kawasaki Super Sherpa, have you ever ridden one? I am my frontal lobe is still fornicating over the freedom of a C3. all I do is walk and my heart wanders.

SORRY, I mean, to go along with the scooter and later on as at as the Super Serpa, at my meager wage every penny counts. You kind of have me sold on that C3, the only other moped I have ridden is a Honda spree like 20 years ago, and a week ago a KYCMO Accent 50 cc I think the C3 would dominate it, even though it looks sleek and fast with its wind piecing aerodynamic aesthetical non Japanese bliss. jk lol well no.

I did ride the super sherpa! Cool little bike that is easy to ride and for shorter rides is great. I'd love to try and get one of these to review. Or if you get one, let me do a video on it ;). I also had a KE100 if you know what those are.

Its on my list, 10 dollars an hour and breathing industrial dust takes its toll ! lol I really like your vids brother. I think I will get the C3, I found one or 1300 but its far away for a guy with no wheels.

One thing that annoys the crap outta me it’s the speedometer. They mark it up to 100mph but the soccer barely make it to 55-60 and that is with a lighter person. Maybe they use that dial in faster bikes but come on!

Here's why someone would buy it... It's a scooter that doesnt look like an scooter because scooters are hideous! (Except for the ruckus and old scooters)

I had a ruckus when I was a highschool monster. I always wanted a big ruckus, ended up with a Z1000 instead 🤷‍♂️

This thing just did not sell, really not much of a niche for it. I agreed the regular Ruckus is much cooler, more of an urban industrial looking scoot, and I do not like the styling of all the "girlie" Italian scoots. Glad to see Honda realized their mistake and killed it.

But honestly as a grown man I’d recommend anyone looking at a bigger bore scooter to just get a smaller motorcycle, like a tw200 or the like. You’ll get better suited wheels and tires as well as better suspension and overall geometry. It’s honestly so much more stable. After years of not riding a scooter but 10 years on large displacement motorcycles and then riding a friends baby ruckus honestly it was sketchy
