I don't want to pay for propaganda broadcast into my house 24/7. It's as simple as that and why I ditched my license.

I prefer KZread, we watch KZread more than anything else.. thousands of films, my hubby loves the cowboys. There is nothing you can't find from cooking, news, wild life, diy, it's fantastic.

If it’s that great a brand , let’s see how many people want to voluntarily support it with a subscription fee. I’d like to wager very few people will share your view . It’s been taken over by jiggery wokery.

Why should I have to pay for a service I don't like and don't use. No other company is allowed to steal money off people in this way. There are laws in this country to stop that from happening.

Anything is better than the BBC. Why should be anybody be expected to pay for ‘live’ programmes such as ITV and Freeview which are financed by advertising. Not to mention the fact that our very own Parliament decided to offer free TV licences to the over 75’s. Why on earth was this allowed to be overturned?

I am 80 years of age live alone and frankly not prepared to pay for a licence which offers absolutely nothing. The BBC is way beyond it's 'sell by date' and should be defunded.

End the license now.

That guy is deluded. It's BBC Studios that make programmes that are sold all over the world, not the BBC. If the BBC is so wonderful and respected and loved all around the world, then why don't they become a subscription channel, because, if it's true, then they would make a lot more money than they would with the TV licence scheme

Yes bbc studios is a private (for profit)company, so the next question is where did the money come from to set it up and buy the studios and equipment.

Well I have to say if I choose to not use the Netflix service they don't send thugs to my door threatening me.

The only shows I've watched on the BBC in the last ten years were a few America made programs. I can't think of anything the BBC has made that I've watched apart from a few old comedy shows.

A few points. It is not the most powerful brand in the world. It does use product placement and has for a long time. It does not make good programs, the good ones are made by other companies and sold to the BBC. Often the companies that they own, and are profit making companies, like BBC Studios. Not part of the BBC, a separate independent company The BBC are left to make the rubbish programs and the News. You don't need three and a half billion quid to do that. We all know its jobs for the boys, or girls, or an alphabet.

I don't watch the BBC, only when there's the odd footy match on, even then I mute until the game starts. Netflix is bad, but I prefer that over the WOKE BBC, who simply steal £159 off me every year. Pure criminal

Stop paying for it, you don't need to. Cancel the direct debit , don't phone them up either to cancel. After that don't bother with the TV licence letters just throw away! After a year they will change from your name on the envelope to the legal ocupier. I'm 25 years licence free. I will never have a TV licence, when the TV licence person comes to the door just say I'm not interested then shut your door in their face! Guess what they can't do a thing about it! Don't give them your name give them nothing!

If you continue to pay for a TV licence, then you are either a fool or a coward.

When it was the only station, BBC WAS an amazing idea. To fulfill all audience needs, entertain, educate, inform, steer, etc, from Strictly to Earth Science. But now with 1000s of stations operating that central role isn't needed any more. It's time to let 'Auntie' retire.

They can easily take adverts then nobody has to pay.

The ironic thing when he talks about the BBC regarding its sport (or lack of it) is I have been watching lots of love T20 cricket on KZread for free (and legal) during the last few weeks. The BBC along with other free to sit channels could show these matches. The other irony is that this weekend sky intend to stream the last 2 rounds of the open golf championship to its golf KZread channel for free which used to televised by the BBC. KZread is becoming the place for free to air sport it seems.

i prefer KZread we shouldn't be forcing people to pay for something we dont use or watch

I'd rather heat my home in winter to be honest at least with British Gas or Eon I dont get a free peodaphile, sexual deviant or nonce forced into my home via the airwaves.

Netflix? I cancelled mine because of the pair lazy grifters. I cancelled tv license and Spotify too….more money in my pocket and more bones for my lovely dog.

I only watch Eastenders and have to pay licence fee. A bit steep eh.

NO, I never watch the BBC, it is terrible. It used to be all the nice things he said about us, but no longer. People want a choice, not to be forced. Let them make their own money. If the BBC was as good as they claim the advertisers would be lining up for their services.

I can’t understand why the bbc has a 24/7 news channel and still shows the bbc news one bbc through the night then show breakfast on bbc 1 and bbc news 24/7 then at 9am it switches to bbc 2

People have a choice now, its not 1948/52 and The BBC don't have the cartel on broadcasting, and also, how many young people watch the BBC? Its REALLY got to move into 2023 in my humble opinion and compete with all the other broadcasters in the world.

I preferred The Beano until it went woke.....

I remember watching the f1 formula 1 on bbc then went to itv and had adverts while the race was still going on and end up missing some of the race then bbc got it back but gave it up again and is now on sky sports which still has adverts on it Also there was a joint venture between itv and bbc called BritBox but the bbc sold there half to itv and itv has full rights to britbox now Let’s see how life long the venture between Disney and the bbc last

BBC would have to pay ME to watch normal tv. I have been more than happy just watching Netflix. I choose what I watch and dont have to put up with woke crap and gay soft porn every five minutes, for a start!......BBC is dead as far as I am concerned.

The BBC is far too big, many of the services should be sold off Radio One Xtra could be sold off to the staff and then stand or fall on it's own merit and this is not the only example.

TV LICENCE IS FUNDING THEIR EXOBIDANT WAGES. Every presenter and journalist at the @BBC is on six figures starting with mostly a 3. All wages should be reduced by 50%. Let them leave and see who will employ them for crazy money. @GaryLineker must go. 1.3M savings. Zoe Ball must go another 1.3 saving, the list goes on

The massive breadth of TV that the BBC gives for less than 50p a day is staggering and constitutes the last true bargain open to the silent majority of the UK. A subscription model certainly couldn't manage it.

It's 50p to much! It's full of shite , it's got no decent films, sport, programs. What it does have us over paid numpty's like Linker and plenty of repeats and peedo bastards coming out the wood work all the time. Oh yes they love spending the gullible people's TV licence fee on expensive party's and black cabs every where!

A vast majority if people pay tv license PURELY so they have the opportunity to be able to watch programmes over their home WiFi on tv apps such as itvx, ch4 ch5 otherwise you can't watch those channels without a tv license
