If it helps at all Spite, Tuareg is pronounced like "trois"reg, but with less French. 😁 edit - ahhh, you was hamming it up a bit at the start, pronunciation is fine.

Dude I'm so happy You're the first american moto youtuber who puts data in the metric system as well. So glad I don't always have to remember how many freedoms per burger a Newtonmeter is. Also I'm really happy that you get such great sponsors. I just had a look and you can actually get a puig windscreen for not a lot of money so I think it could be easily fixed Keep it up man

The Imperial system works better for engine specifications. Horsepower and Foot pounds of torque is way better than Watts/PS or Newtonmeters. Also Human size should be measured in FEET and POUNDS. A 6 foot tall person has a 1 foot long foot, generally. So they are actually 6 feet tall. It's an easy measurement. This is how they do it in Canada, they use some imperial and some metric. But the Metric system should be used for all other things. I want to measure my engines in horses, because that's awesome.
Super glad you've hooked up with a dealer to review their inventory. That is a win win for everyone. Congratulations on getting the sponsor too. This channel is kicking butt. Great Job!!!
Nice review! I took delivery of the first Tuareg in San Francisco, and what was quite possibly the first one delivered to a customer in California. I bought the factory baggage racks, the factory rear rack, the factory engine guard, and the factory fog lights. Since I am only 5'6" tall with a 29-inch inseam, I also bought the lower seat. My observations and experiences thus far for things you did not cover in your review: The Aprilia baggage racks are very specific for the Aprilia aluminum cases, and are too short to mount most soft-sided bags like the Wolfman bags. I ended up designing and welding my own adapters from Home Depot mild steel square tubing to securely strap the Wolfman bags, and my adapters with bags mount on the Aprilia racks. This allows me to have the convenience of removable hard-sided bags while using soft-sided bags. The Aprilia rear rack is as good as anything else on the market, and I mounted an aftermarket $169 20-inch wide aluminum diamond plate ATV box on the back. Works great at much less cost than an official Aprilia top box. On top of the top box I mounted a RotoPax gas can, and I did not feel bad about drilling holes in a $169 top box to mount it. To mount the $250 (per side!) Aprilia fog lights, one must purchase a $599 engine guard, and a $299 Fog Light Installation Kit. So I ended up spending $1400 just to mount Aprilia (Piaggio) fog lights that also fit Moto Guzzi and all sorts of other bikes. Ouch. Part of the problem is that both the dealer and I thought the $250 price for fog lights turned out to be ONE fog light, not both, necessitating another $250 order for the other side fog light. The expensive fog light installation kit is a Piaggio universal kit with a whole bunch of extra parts that are not used on the Tuareg. Finally, the installation instructions for the fog light mounting start by telling you to disassemble the upper fairing, remove the headlight, remove the back side of the instrument cluster, and remove the LEFT side lower fairing to access the fog light connector in the wiring harness. Bullshit. Those instructions are for a Moto Guzzi, and that is not clear in the instructions. For the Tuareg all one has to do is NOT install the engine guard yet, leave the upper fairing/headlight/instrument cluster alone, do not touch the left side lower fairing, and ONLY remove the RIGHT side lower fairing. The fog light connector in the factory harness is easily accessible on the RIGHT side, not the left. The connector also does not look anything like the connector shown in the Piaggio instructions. I ended up taking photos and warning the Aprilia Service Department that the instructions are wrong. If you want fog / driving lights, I recommend that you get aftermarket lights such as Clearwater Lights and mount them on the forks, or spring for the Aprila engine guard and mount the aftermarket lights on it. The factory kit is hideously expensive and comes with incorrect instructions that will totally confuse most dealer mechanics, possibly resulting in a complete and unecessary tear-down of your brand new fairing and instrument cluster. The instructions are also written in English by Italians, so beware. If you have a red or yellow Tuareg, and you order the lower seat, you lose the color coordination. The lower seat only comes in black. The single USB port on the lower left side of the instrument panel will NOT run a Garmin GPS such as the Zumo XT. The Garmin requires a 12-volt power connection, and it will not charge itself from a 5 volt USB unless it knows that it is connected to a computer. So you have to purchase the entire Garmin motorcycle install kit (another $50 to $100) with wires to go back to the motorcycle battery. This GPS install kit does not include a mount for the mounting bar on the Tuareg fairing, so you have to purchae something like the RAM ball-mount kit. Another $70. The Tuareg USB port WILL run a Garmin inReach or a phone. One or the other. I bought a motorcycle-specific Motoport double slot USB charger (off Amazon) and connected it to the Tuareg battery. This allows me to run both the phone and the inReach at the same time. The Motoport charger has an ON/OFF button so you can shut the charger off and not run your motorcycle battery down. Be aware that there are two different recommended tire pressures for the front tire, and three for the rear tire. Depends upon on-road or off-road use, and solo versus two-up riding. The Pirelli Scorpions are great road tires. In the twisties I can almost keep up with my riding buddies on sport bikes and sport tires. Off road they are OK, but as in Spite's review, they are OK on dirt/gravel roads but so-so in technical terrain. I have not tried the Tuareg on highly technical single track. At age 71 I am too old for that sh*t anymore. THIS AIN'T NO LIGHTWEIGHT DIRT BIKE. Especially if you have it loaded with gear. Buy or build an emergency jack for those times when you go down. Again, great review, Spite!
Really great to watch you in "real time" play with the settings and how they affect the ride. What is a bit frustrating as a viewer of ride reviews is the reviewer criticizing a bike's handling or suspension and never once tries any settings. Many reviewers ride bikes with adjustable suspension, criticize the handling, and never touch the clickers or mode settings etc. It doesn't take much spend a few minutes learning what is adjustable, and experimenting with ride modes, suspension adjustments etc. Thanks for that! Knocking on 100k Spite! 🙂
So great to see this channel becoming bigger and bigger. Great content as always!
Love to see your channel growing. One of the reasons i watched yammie's channel is you
Aprilia makes incredible motorcycles, they just have this magic mix I can’t explain, whoever is designing the bikes and coming up with the ideas is hitting it out of the park.
Great to see sponsors have followed the talent! I'll have to buy their product.
Spite is such a refreshing person in the motorcycle workd that I sometimes play his videos on the background even if i’m not watching just so his view count increases. Love from the Philippines, Spite!

The Traction Control can be adjusted to zero in the menu for Off-Road mode, and it’ll save those settings in each map for future rides.

Would love to test ride this beast. I've actually never ridden an Aprilia in 20+ years of riding. Great video Spite, keep up the good work! Don't forget your cruiser boi roots!
I just got mine a few weeks ago and love it so far. It’s funny my conclusion is the same as yours: a handful of niggles but overall a fantastic package worth the money. Quick shifter is fantastic, cruise control is a game changer, and the factory crash bars help lessen the anxiety about dropping it off road.

That's awesome that you hooked up with AF1! Those guys have been super supportive with my SXV550 and my Tuono V2 when I had it.
I have this bike and I love it! The brake feel gets better after breaking it in!
Great video Spite! I bought a Tuareg a few months ago and have put about 2k miles on it. I did have some fuel mapping issues but the last software update has really helped a lot. For any potential buyers; don’t let this being a relatively new bike scare you away. Aprilia seem to be putting in the work to make this a class leading bike. Also, props to AF1. They’re an amazing resource with lots of factory add-ons in stock and ready to ship which is waaaaaay more than my local dealer can deliver. Excellent to see you connecting with some solid partners. I couldn’t be happier for you big man. Keep it up!
Fantastic review. I’ve been patiently waiting for a bike to come around that ticks the boxes I want from a daily motorcycle and this one seems to hit the nail on the head. Every question I had in mind, you answered. Fantastic job and thank you for your dedication to the community!
Congratulations on the sponsorship! Aprilia definitely did a very awesome job with the Tuareg. A lot of bike for the price.
Thanks for reviewing this! You are a trusted voice out there on the internet. Glad to see the channel growing!

Ive had my Tuareg since April 2022, and I absolutely love it. I use the TC in 1 offroad and have done a lot of gnarly stuff with it! Great bike. Love the reviews and videos Spite!

Great job AF1!!! Love to see yall supporting local riders!! Spite you're killing it bro.
My initial reaction to the looks was "Oh dear God!", but actually, I think I agree that it's got a 'look'. It's not a pretty or handsome bike, but it is definitely distinctive and is a look that grows on me. Also, one of the best sounding L2 engines I've heard in a long time. Most sound like tractor or lawnmower engines! It's very interesting that it sounds like Aprillia gave it a definite off-road bias but equipped it with Scorpion tyres, which I've always thought of as road-biased dual-sports. Fantastic to see sponsors coming on board, and AF1 supporting you, the channel has got real momentum which is very well deserved.
Hell yeah glad you got ahold of this one! Keep up the great work. Another excellent quality video.
@AF1 Racing is one of the best dealerships! Awesome collaboration. Looking forward to seeing more from this partnership.

This was a great review of a very interesting motorcycle! Although I am an “old school” biker who rides heavy touring bikes, this review made me want to actually try something different! Good job, Spite. Wishing you success from the great white north 😊
Hey Spite, just found your channel and been binge watching it. I am an American living in the Philippines and bought my first ADV here. I’ve always been a fan of ADV’s but my 30in inseam has put most of them out of reach for me. Not sure if the bike I have will be available there but I got a new Moto Morini X-Cape 650 and its a pretty impressive bike for the money. Fully adjustable Marzocchi forks, Brembos front and rear, KYB shock, tubeless spoked wheels, TFT display, Kawasaki licensed EN6 650, LEDS all the way around and an adjustable windshield. Mine came fully loaded with crash bars, 3 piece aluminum pannier kit, and handguards (unfortunately plastic though). If they are available there you might want to do a review on one for a beginner ADV. I’ve owned 24 other bikes in my life and this is definitely becoming one of my favorites.
We FN love you Spite, keep living your dream bud. You already helped build a massive audience now this time it's all yours baby. You FN earned all this bud don't ever forget this is your hard work paying off. F Yeah Spite.

I have 1200 miles on mine, absolutely love it and agree with everything you've said here. I had the dealer bleed the brakes during first service and it really improved the brake feel, i dive into corners with confidence now. Also I'm 5’9“ and wear a dual sport helmet and yeah the wind buffeting is pretty annoying with the bill, will be looking into a different windscreen or something despite loving the way it looks.
