Is the Abba Sky Lift worth the Money?

Looking at the Skylift, is it worth it?

f you’re looking to raise your bike up high off the ground and make working on the floor a thing of the past, then look no further than this Sky Lift! This product will make even the most awkward & tricky jobs on your bike an absolute breeze.
The Sky Lift sets the standard in motorcycle lifts with its safety, versatility, maneuverability, and above all usability.
Adaptable to fit over 300 different models of the motorcycle without the need for modification to your machine, lift your bike high off the ground at 3 different angles, maneuver your bike around freely using its four high-quality casters and be able to do all this and more safely on your own then its easy to see why the Sky Lift is considered by me as well as many industry experts to be the new “benchmark” in motorcycle lifts!
With the Lifts built is a CE approved hydraulic foot pump the Sky Lift will raise your bike to a very comfortable working height. With your bike lifted in any position, the Sky Lifts high-quality castors (which include brakes) mean you can effortlessly move your bike around or tuck the bike away in the garage.
One Lift, three positions….
The Horizontal lifting position allows you to simply raise the bike with both wheels level like a traditional bench lift.
The Rear wheel high (stoppie position) is perfect for working on the rear end of the bike and allows access to areas on your bike you would have struggled to get to before. This will raise the rear end of the bike higher off the ground than most workbench’s!
The Front wheel high ( wheelie position) will raise the bikes front wheel to around eye level taking the backache out of front end maintenance and cleaning. This will raise the front end of the bike higher off the ground than most workbench’s!
The Sky Lift requires no modifications or parts to be permanently fitted to your bike whatsoever, your machine stays totally standard. The lift fits the swingarm pivot of the motorcycle and connects at the rear of the swingarm via a support strap (depending on lifting position). Should you change your motorcycle its a simple case of upgrading your fitting kit for your new machine, fittings can be changed for different models in a matter of seconds and are relatively cheap to purchase.
With all these advantages and many more its easy to see why the Sky Lift is the straightforward choice as the ultimate accessory for your motorcycle.
Now supplied with a 3rd generation hydraulic ram. The new internals of our latest ram, combined with the foot pedal operation means the lifting speed is around 40% faster.

Great decision. Quality of life figures high in the process of buying something. Price should always be considered but item doesn’t have to be the lowest cost of the lot if it means what you get is best served for you. So price moves down the list. Cleaning and tinkering your bike in any capacity is a very fulfilling experience. Life is short. No explanations necessary mate. Nice stand. Well done. Now enjoy it. Ride safe, ride often. Peace

Well built unit - 3 ton hydraulic jack….. would only suggest using a low profile front wheel chock -- use SGS unit - means no struggle getting unit under holding bike and lifting side stand - especially when on your own..

Seems like a good piece of kit though the things that would put me off are the cost and due to lack of space in my garage the size of it. I have front and rear paddock stands plus a mechanic's crawler for cleaning which probably isn't as convenient as the skylight but does the job as I've had both wheels out in the past when it's tyre change time. It's all down to the individual in the end isn't it? I follow his channel too and he does some really good quality stuff, but it's expensive as you'd expect and after shelling out north of 16k for a 1250 GS not everyone is lucky enough to also have the disposable income to be able to afford all the farkles and accessories to go with it, at least not all the top end stuff. Thank heavens for ebay and the Chinese, at least you can avoid bankruptcy going down that route LOL. BTW this isn't meant to be a knock at The Bike Thing's website or his business, he offers top notch stuff and from what I've seen service to match, it's just that so many manufacturers see GS riders as cash cows and charge silly money for stuff like bits of plastic that really should be priced far lower as ebay has demonstrated. Anyway rant over, carry on great channel👍👍

@@roadglide it certainly can be and as I'm now on my 3rd GS I'd like to think I've managed to learn a few things LOL. As an example I've got a pair of "clone" BMW aux lights on my GS that cost me around £40 where as BMW want over 10 times that amount for a set. Likewise things like fender extenders and hand guards can be had as exact copies for a fraction of the price which given the GS is the most popular bike bike out there the original suppliers can hardly claim their excessive prices are due to low volumes (and I wouldn't mind betting they're made at the same factory in China). Before I'm labeled as a complete cheapskate I do support the main suppliers where I think it's appropriate e.g. I have MachineArt x heads and a mudsling but feel in general we're being mugged off especially when we're just talking about bits of plastic. Sorry for the rant (again) and yeah peace out 😉
