@@offtheshelfrides . Actually we canceled our order last August. There was to many concerns we worried about with the Ocean and honestly, we felt we were not going to be happy with the interior meaning the lack of storage like the glove compartment. We got a different EV. We got the Mustang Mach-E Performance Dark Pony 2023 edition. It is such a great car!

Yes it is. We had a premium for a few months after our id.4. The only thing we didn't like was the eye tracker! Lol It looks like the Ocean has been having major issues! Not sure how the live stream went after I left, but I think they wanted me out anyway, I was "the voice of reason" they were becoming Fanboys.

Honestly it is hard to hear the ones that names will not be mentioned, be in some kind of "bubble" world.

Neat vehicle but I liked it better on the first draft when the whole back section was about having tons of space. I was tempted to buy one five years ago.

Price tag starting well over $50K Pathetic 250 mile range. Took VW of America 2 years to water down the Euro version with US/ Chinese parts bin tech and interior. I will pass, this will have the same fate as the ID4. Life long VW owner here looking for a new brand

They can make a few quick buck as the first van EV in the US. But if you want quality and affordability, you sure do hope the Chinese EVs flooding the US market one day. That's Detroit's worst nightmare and American middle class's biggest blessing.

Looks awesome. I think the issues are going to be price and availability initially. I’m glad they have the more powerful motors now. I’m not a fan of the infotainment system with sliders instead of knobs and buttons, but I doubt that will affect sales.

This is going to save VW. Awesome job. I still like the ICE's for the most part, but if I was to lease an EV, it would be this one. Not sure I would buy? After warranty, then what? That is the big question.

@@offtheshelfrides Yes, you honestly have to think about the life of the battery, the complex electronics cost if they go Kaput after warranty. I fear it would cost more to repair than to scrap.

I am not really finding any reviews on how much storage there is with the seats down. A lot of people use vans for hauling sports gear and sleeping in on occasion. (think surfboards, kayaks bikes) So not all van users are interested in how many children and sticky toys you can haul around. Same goes for minivans. How about having sex in it? To all those people commenting that 260 miles is not enough, it is much larger and less aero dynamic than most electric cars. If it charges to 80 percent in a half an hour you could charge it for lunch and drive for four hours in the morning at 65. I think those people have never really owned an electric car. We are all going to die from global warming so just maybe a slight inconvenience might be worth the trouble ehh? My electric cars are charged 100% off my roof top solar when in town.

Yes, 260 miles is plenty. I always try to explain it as, 260 miles is just over 4hrs of driving. I don't know many people that can drive for 4hrs without having to stop for a bathroom break. I'm lucky to push 2 1/2 hrs before needing the bathroom. In that 15 min bathroom and snack break, you can add another 70-100 miles....

I have to stop every couple of hours to use the bathroom. You just plug it in while you use the bathroom and grab snacks. Add another 50 miles that way and away you go! If you can drive for 5 hours without stopping, EV or ICE, your a BOSS!

That's true for some people, but not everyone. For us, we usually want three people and a bunch of stuff, but also the option of chucking the grandparents in when they visit and we're all going out to dinner/whatever. Some version of that is pretty common, I think; I know a lot of 2 kid families with minivans.
