I think Porsche is the only manufacturer that pulled off a great electric performance sedan. Better than Tesla. I mean, for the money. This sedan is the only vehicle you would consider over a traditional combustion engine.

That is definitely one of the most beautiful sedan in the world 😊

Porsche ICE cars seem to deprecate just as quickly at the moment. It doesn't seem to be specific to Taycan. But if you watch videos from Taycan owners, sure they complain about the high deprecation, but they all seem to love their Taycan, despite them having some issues with some assistant systems not working too well etc.

As a Taycan driver and Porsche Salesperson… I must say I really enjoyed your video! 😂❤

Why? Why would anyone pay that money for an ICE vehicle? People like what they like. I cannot stand the EV hate nor do I get it other than it being a politics thing. I’ve got a 2020 Carrera S and a Tesla Model Y performance. Love them both. The sh*t I get for owning a Tesla from dudes in their lame gigantic pickup trucks is ridiculous.

Modern temp controlled batteries with thermal mgt systems last a long time, similar to a gas engine. Data from the company Recurrent Auto backs this up. Plus automakers stand behind them with at least an 8 yr warranty. Overall longevity is not a concern

@@arielromero7483 There's no need to change the battery. Porsche Taycan batteries are modular and damaged cells can be replaced separately. Cost is about 6000 Euros, from what I've heard. Which is much cheaper than replacing a broken Porsche ICE engine.

Could be like 100k in 2 years.

Yes but you need the also release said air, hence the vents on the front fenders as on the GT3RS.

The Taycan is a beautiful car inside and out. I love this color too. I think the 2025 Taycan 4S with the adaptive air suspension option is the sweet spot. Especially buying it used in about a year with a few thousand mile on it. Insurance on EV's is high, but is crazy high for the Taycan.

I'm liking this guy more and more

It seems like Porsche is doing EV like no other. You can tell cause Joe actually ENJOYS going on throttle with the Taycan. They were able to keep the Porshe identity, which an EV platform could have taken away if not careful. For a non EV fan like me, that's impressive.

The front splitter doesn't prevent air from going underneath that's silly thinking. It's just another surface area for the air to pull down. "Underbody downforce" shifts aero balance by guiding air n splitting it. side vents are for to reduce high energy air pressure in front wheel wells. Reducing drag and lift.

I'm driving electric for 3 years now, and I love it. I'm not going back to combustion. But I do have the advantage of being able to charge the car directly at my house, which helps a lot, of course. Have you actually driven an electric car yet? I think they drive much nicer than combustion cars. I love the near silence and instant power. For my use case, there's literally no downside, only upsides.

Actually, no, the facelift base model and 4S don't have those tear like headlights, but the facelift Turbo and Turbo S still have them.

9:52 He is actually incorrect. That car that was displayed on the infotainment screen was not the Mission E concept car, it was in fact the Taycan. He most likely got confused when he noticed the distinctive wheel style. I’m going to have to Zonk him for that discrepancy. 😂

Joe this car is definitely impressive but there is absolutely no way I would give up my Porsche 911 Turbo S for this Turbo S EV!!! Who wants 4 doors on a performance vehicle. Plus no sound. I lost total interest in my Tesla Model S P85D. You didn’t mention the size of the rear tires and brakes. Went back twice on the video to see if the rear wheels were 21” or a step up over the front to 22” size. Was curious if the rear brakes were also 6 piston calipers? Yeah this may be a tad quicker than my 911 Turbo S but I doubt that it would handle as awesome as my 911. How heavy is this beast? At a cost of $210K I would stay in the ICE performance car. Without sound from the engine it becomes boring. Now I look forward to hearing how the electric sound is received. The Dodge Charger EV is pathetic. Impressive charging time!!! So I am farther away from ever wanting an EV than I was before I got the Tesla. I let the Tesla go and ordered a Mustang Dark Horse 🐎! Good video and fantastic filming by Lori‼️❤ You guys are the best team in the business‼️‼️👍👊💪😎🇺🇸

Why don't you give this one a test drive? Maybe you won't like it, but it does handle like a true Porsche, and the instant power is fantastic. It does have a simulated engine sound (sounding like a mixture of a combustion engine and a space jet). I personally prefer silence, but if you like engine sound, maybe that would make this car more interesting for you? I've seen people on KZread say positive things about the simulated engine sound.

Question: what is faster that Porsche Taycan Turbo S Answer: It's depreciation 🤣

You need to adjust the vents via the infotainment system. Serious Zonk. You shouldn’t be looking down @ a screen to adjust in your car. For more than 200K this is a complete waste of money.

I do agree that the air vent adjustment is painful and they definitely should go back to the tried and proven approach in the 2027 (?) Taycan 2.

As much as I like the Taycan I think no matter the trim level its not priced right in the market. Unless you're a die hard Porsche fan I truthfully cant see someone choosing this over the $90k Tesla Model S Plaid. It would be one thing if the prices were close but the pricing is so far from one another. Even the Macan EV is completely priced out compared to competitors. Obviously the fit and finish is nicer and there is some unique options and the ability to bespoke with Porsche but the price gap is far too wide.

It's a PORSCHE, dude! Tesla crap build quality was and still is terrible! Porsche build quality is worth its money. Taycab suspension technology is on another level. Tesla can't keep up with Porsche. So easy is that! Tesla is still just a one trick pony carmaker... Building laptop and software on wheels, and that's it. You can't compare a soulless Tesla Model S with a Porsche Taycan. The Taycan is much more beautiful (IMHO) and has a much better suspension etc. I don't mind if you prefer the Plaid Model S, but the Taycan does have some noticeable advantages.

Great review. As for the Taycan... a waste of money and too expensive. They depreciate soooooo fast. There are over 30,000 2023 unsold worldwide and you can find thousands of 2021 and 2022s for about $68,000 instead of $200K.

So get a used one - like I did! 😀 I had planned to get a new Tesla, but when I saw the low used priced for the Taycan, I got a Taycan instead. From what I saw in some KZread videos, btw, used Porsche cars generally seem to take a bit hit atm, it doesn't seem specific to the Taycan, I think? But I could be wrong. I don't really care, to be honest, I'm happy that I could get a used one for a very nice price (well, compared to its original price).

@@mathias6185 I owned several Porsche for decades. Just like any luxury cars, they do depreciate, some models more than others. But, Taycan was a disaster for the company. Quarterly and the annual reports were awful and the company knows it. Taycan also faced a lot of electrical and software update issues.

Buying an EV today is like buying a iPhone. The Taycan was released only 4 years ago, and dealers was asking 25%-35% over MSRP, today, these same dealers are discounting the current Taycans 25%-35% in anticipation of the 2025 models. Imagined owning a 2024 Taycan, only to see the 2025 have more power, faster, bigger battery, better range, faster charging, more options, better handling with it's adaptive gimbal suspension, faster more responsive screens, the 2025 is like the new iPhone making the 2024 look like the iPhone 11. Technology evolves so fast, the Kia EV9 is getting rave reviews, in 2 years, the next gen EV9 will make the current EV9 look old and slow, outdated, that's just the nature of EV.

Looks like they fixed most of the rookie mistakes.

The issue with 99.9 percent of youtube car reviews is that they are bias and are basically sales pitches by the "reviewer" for the company. The positives always outweigh any "zonks." An honest review of a car would take place a year after driving it. There is zero need for youtube car reviews, because they are dishonest, bias and financially motivated. This is why you will never hear a "reviewer" say a car is junk and not to buy. The lack of integrity is so disappointing.

It’s a good look at the product, which especially with cars or watches is not easy to see each one in person, so take a look, see the details and help narrow it down to make a decision. You can't get good lease pricing for any Porsches because Porsche is not interested in sponsoring leasing deals. So if you lease a Taycan (or any Porsche) you're paying through the nose. It's much cheaper to buy a used one, drive it for 2-3 years, then sell it. You can get used ones at less than half the original price that only have a couple thousand miles on them.
