Looks like the rear seat room is better than the competition and the fold down rear seat is a plus. I just wish they had both heated and ventilated front seats.
I really like the fold flat rear seat. It's a great cargo compromise for trucks with short beds. I like that it's longer and wider than the previous Ranger, and the built in Slinky holder is amazing.

I like that the info screen doesn’t obstruct your view of the road like the Toyota truck does. It also seems like there is much more leg room front and back for the taller people. Great job Ford!
I like the new 2024 Ranger, but a little disappointed that they didn't include any ventilated front seats with the Lariat or Raptor trims. Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon, and even Toyota Tacoma have them available in their upper packages. I do like the flat fold down rear seat, but would like to see a fold up flat floor instead, like in the F150.

Dear buyer: You'll appreciate the light bulbs in the rear when you don't have to pay to replace LED lens assemblies. LED will last longer, but they do fail, especially if ya back into something! You'll also appreciate the hood prop rod when the hood isn't falling on your head due to worn hood struts. People are too concerned with high tech/fancy over simple reliable functionality these days. Most reviewers don't consider serviceability during reviews and the manufacturers generally do not during design either.

@@Scroll_Lock There's gonna be a option to just have the turbo I4 by itself, you can parewith a manual too. I don't think their trying to appeal to tech bros, but power bros. The hybrid system is designed to assist the engine in delivering power, mainly gobs of low down torque.
@DragonKnightX12

@@Scroll_Lock Base trim to the Limted can be optioned with the gas only powertrain, and yes it comes in 4X4. Only the TRD Pro and Trailhunter are hybrid exclusive. Ford has literally done it with the F-150. 3.5 Powerboost. The IForceMax is the exact same setup. It’s not a traditional hybrid like the Prius. It’s using a electric motor that’s in the bell housing to boost the power delivered too the wheels. Just check videos of the Tundra with it. The battery pack is tucked safely away in the cabin, under the rear seats. People are off-roading in full EVs like the Rivian just fine. I would be more worried about the Ford, because they put the alternator low in some of those engines where it can get water logged just from a deep puddle. It’s just way things are going. More and more vehicles are gonna be hybrid before EVs fully take over. Don’t be surprised when Ford and the others follow suit.
I'm digging it. Looks like they made good improvements from the previous generation. I think this is the best looking exterior style in the midsize market so far. Also, happy to see a V6 option. I'll definitely give it a hard look later this year.
I like it. Sun roofs are nice, but I rarely use them. My only complaint is (and You mentioned...) is no a/c vents for back seat passengers. If you could review the XL edition, I would love to see it. This interior is a huge a change compared to previous gen and the body looks awesome!
The current gen FX4 has a floaty feel behind the wheel, I wonder if the changes in size and wheelbase will reduce that in this redesign.
I loved the way you spoke about the vehicle, it was a complete review video, thank you for sharing.
Great preview video! Thanks. A couple of questions: 1. Is this the same 10 speed transmission that was used in the previous generation Ford Ranger? Asking because I know 2 people who had 2019 Rangers, and the transmission was horrible on them....both traded them in this year for different brands. If it's the same transmission, I will most likely shift my attention to the Colorado/Canyon. 2. Will Ford be offering the Homelink garage door opener with this Ranger? Chevy/GMC, for some reason, decided not to offer this feature in any trim level or option. A big zonk in my opinion. Thanks again for the video.
This slaps the new GMC and Chevy … a 10 speed transmission and 2.7L v6? This thing will last forever. The transmission in the GMC and Chevy are still in a lawsuit. There 4 cylinder will always be in turbo meaning it will have the same fuel economy as my 5.7L ram hemi
Great 👍 review Joe ! I certainly like this new Ranger , it certainly looks like a miniature F series truck and Maverick vibes .

That's the one thing I don't like about the Ranger. I thought they'd do it this time, but no. I've been checking out the Tacoma and know feel let down by how many things Ford could have done but didn't. The things Ford did well is bringing the 2.7 and much improved styling. They missed the sunroof, cooled seats, more interior accent colors, power up and down tailgate and a boatload of after market options Tacoma has.
