In the last 3 years kia has really impressed me. I was die hard with toyota, honda and mazda but now i think im all in on a kia as my next car

It is not the fastest but the interior features are unbelievable at this price point. The panoramic sunroof puts the cherry on top. Thank you Joe for this incredible review!

I said it before, when it comes to car reviews you are the best! I will watch you before all others when it comes to reviews on vehicles. You spend the time to go over every detail bad or good. If you dislike something you say it and not sugar coat it. I don't see a reason to give reviews if a person is afraid to offend a carmaker.

Watching at 3:45 am. I must say, hyundai/kia really have been knocking it out of the park. They keep improving massively with each generation. Also, if I had to choose between digital gauges or ventilated seats at this trim level, I 100% would go with ventilated seats, so I think they went with the right choice here. Great job as always Joe.

This Kia offers a lot for the money. Usually an Accord driver but definitely considering this K5 in this ES trim. Only drawbacks would be the Jet plane shifter, the missing wireless connections, the “only in Korea digital display” & not much else. They’ve come so far in such a short time....amazing. And I believe they’re reliability is on the upswing as well. Toyota & Honda must be paying attention! If you’re not looking for strictly speed/performance - but just a beautiful car that offers just about everything you’d want (things that in years past only the luxury brands offered) - then I’m all in on this Kia K5 ES. Thanks for a great video representation. 👍

God just Blessed me with one, it's a beautiful glossy Black. Got it at 11pm tonight, after the dealership worked late for me as I'd driven over an hour to get there through terrible traffic from Nashville TN. It's everything he said. Drives like a dream. Fast pickup. Smooth ride. Great shifts. Beautiful outside. Luxurious interior. The sound system I got isn't Bose, but didn't need to be... it's wonderful!! I'm so grateful!! Love it!!! TYJ

COACH JOE ~ you're the professor of autology or what we some times call it . . . carology. This car really appeals to me, but no tuning knob for the radio is almost a deal breaker. Too bad, I thought KIA would do this right. Honda learned this lesson the hard way. And my current Seltos Turbo also has both a tuning and a volume knob. Great review, as always sir!

I think Kia is blowing away the competition. You get a lot of car for the money. Great review!

I am looking for my next car and I can’t decide between the K5 and the sonata. I love the looks of the K5 but the sonata’s interior is absolutely stunning

I like how the storage spaces are rated by the types and amounts of snacks you can store!

Honestly if this is what kia is coming out with in ths first year i can only imagine how great it will be in 3-4 years from now when it is updated

Test drove one a few weeks ago. I currently have a 2018 Optima SXL turbo and coming from that the current K5 models available left me wanting for the features/trim level I currently have. Hoping that the true GT model that's to be out late 2020 will fill that void and provide all those bells and whistles. Also had just bought a 2021 Telluride SX and it definitely came up wanting in the feature set disparity.

Thank you Joe for another Great Review. Have to say I am disappointed as this car does not compare to the Korean spec in terms of quality, finishes or tech. I think if this car had the digital cockpit, the turn dial shifter, and quality touches to the material it would be a game changer here and a leader in the sedan class. Hoping they bring those touches to the GT Trim along with an AWD option. Thank You

It may seem like it lacks some features at first, especially when compared to the Sonata limited, but when you look at the 28k pricetag for the fully loaded EX, it becomes clear that this is an incredible value and an excellent car. Great review!

The EX with the premium package, which it what Joe has in this video, is $32K only 2000 less than the Sonata Limited... hardly a good deal given the lack of features compared to the Sonata. If this was $30K fully loaded then that would be a good bargain, but with the current pricing, too expensive for what you get.

In 2017 I wanted an optima. After a really bad experience at the Kia dealership I got a Dodge Charger. Now it’s 2020 and my lease is ending, I’m coming back to the Kia K5 because I want that Charger style tail lights in the back.

I have a 2014 Optima SX-Turbo and love it. The K5 looks great and can’t wait to see the GT. There are a few little things that I which they would change or add to the K5 though. 1. Not having wireless Apple car play with the bigger screen doesn’t make sense. 2. The door pockets do look small and look like they don’t have room for a water bottle. 3. It looks like there is no longer a coin tray in the center console storage compartment. 4. Need the digital dash and why don’t they include a boost gauge? All turbos should have a boost gauge. 5. Why are they not going to offer AWD on the GT? The GT is the performance edition! It should have the AWD option for better handling. 5. Nobody has made any mention of the auto engine “start / stop” when you are sitting at traffic lights. Pretty common thing in most vehicles now. A easy and good addition for extra fuel saving.

Nice video Joe I checked your gt 2.5 too You forgot something here , you didn’t tell us how that small engine did it from 0 acceleration , you accelerate with the car in movement so how we can know is the engine size is right or not

Raiti's Rides - Thank you. Your knowledge of cars is amazing. You should know that I traded in my wife’s Tucson for a Kia Stinger GT after watching your review of the Stinger. The Stinger is an amazing vehicle. Kia underestimates its 0-60 time.

Great K5 review, and this is in the perfect color! I do find it amusing that many reviewers have been calling the K5 a "baby Stinger" when it's actually a little bit larger than the Stinger.

kia has really stepped up their game, i remember when kias were cheap and crappy back in the 90's now they're better than hondas, south koreans make some really good products.

I like the looks of the K5 and the way it drives better than the Sonata but I do like the Sonata's digital dash!

My last 3 cars have been Kia’s. 2 Sorentos and one Sedona. They make a great vehicle.

The Kia K5 is the best entry level sedan IMO. Love the wood trim too. Think the Honda Accord is the only other one that lets you rub your wood after a hard day of work.

Joe, how about a review of the 2021 Hyundai Santa fe, is it going to be a 3 row in north America? Hope so.

Is wireless Apple car play an option in the EX? Or was it added since this video? I’ve seen other reviews where they had wireless Apple car play in the EX specifically.

I drive a 2020 Accord sport 2.0t with the 10 speed. I test drove the K5 Ex with premium package today. I like the exterior styling and the interior. The memory seats are pretty sweet, but I could not get the seat low enough as for the drive it lacked the power and get up and go. The 8 speed transmission had some wierd shift points. I think it's a solid car but for 32K I need more power. The GT is coming in November. I'd wait for that if I was on the market

I’m ok with not having a full digital display cuz sometimes more electronics means more possible electronic issues. Other than that, Kia is bringing it with the K5 🥊. Can’t wait for your take on the GT trim 😎 🙌🏼

Does the bottom of the floor board on the driver side and passenger side light up with different colors? My 2021 KIA K5 gt line does and I’ve never seen anyone else display it in their videos

May be a dumb question but in the KIA k5 ex is there no bluetooth option for a phone, so you need a wire to connect it?

I had no idea the Ex existed. I’ve owned my 22 Wolf grey Gt line for about 3 months and I’m kind of regretting not getting this one 😩

Like what I see in the lower spec K5s, hoping the GT knocks it out of the park. Though I do wish the motor on the EX had at least 250hp, and the trunk actually opened like a fastback.

I would recommend it. I’m getting one pretty sure. I have a 2016 Kia Forte lx and I have 96,000 miles on nothing really wrong with it.

My family loves Kia so do I, but my aunt had a stinger got wrecked then got an 18 optima and now about to get a K5😂. But dream car is Kia stinger!

I like the analog gauges, but I'm old fashioned. My luck will be that the K5 GT won't be available in that gorgeous blue.

Power folding outside mirrors???? the switch shouldve been found by the drivers window controls..... that option doesnt show on the websites configurator.
