Very impressive, great vid. I agree 100%, Alfas are way under rated by the public. Most people are way too scared to track their car. They prefer bragging on their car from the safety of a bar stool.

Good driving out there! I had a similar experience in my Q2 at my first and only HPDE thus far getting the point by from much more powerful cars, including an M5. There were three 2.0 Giulia’s out there that day (All red), a Q4, my Q2 and a standard RWD base model and we had a blast.

I’m wanting to grab one as my next car, which do you recommend RWD or AWD? I do live in Chicago with snowy seasons but I’m no stranger to driving rear in snow. Not sure if the RWD version has much difference in feel / quickness compared to the slightly heavier AWD?

@@omg.2tsx_alex593 I haven’t driven an awd Giulia but had a wrx before this. I wanted a rwd car this time around to focus on driving skill. But, the Alfa awd is different because it’s essentially 100% rwd until slip, and then shuffles power forward incredibly quickly. The awd launches harder, but may have more under steer under heavy cornering. Check out the Giulia forum for a world of debate! Q4 is easier to find so if I were undecided today I would focus more on the spec and package I wanted. The performance pack with LSD and paddle shifters brings this car to life .

I was looking at buying an alfa 2.0t guilia because I can actually afford it and they look awesome. The more vids I watch of this car I'm surprised it's not more popular, it seems to be super legit good performing just great car.

awsome car, seems a very good platform with very good potential, better than a bmw 3series except rarer and probably a bit harder to find parts idk the smaller engines have the advantage of lower running costs and lower weight.

Disconnect battery for a moment before lap session to disable traction control

besides high performance oil and coolant, race mode+255 rear tyre+LED, I think that these mods can help 2.0 giulia have more fan on track.

Rwd is only worth it if it has an LSD. Otherwise get the Q4. It’s a world renowned system Q4 with LSD is even crazier

Brakes were stock as well and did great!! Very very little fade at all Full confidence throughout each session

Obvious that you love the Giulia and it's certainly a very nice car but... I would suggest the G70 driver doesn't track much based on the lines he was taking. So saying the Giulia's far superior in corners based on this small sample where the driver doesn't know what they are doing isn't accurate.

I know the guy in the G70. He’s got a few fast cars. Confirms that the G70 is extremely sloppy on a race track. It’s meant to be a comfy cruiser, not a race car.

@@_fast4lfa He could have 50 fast cars.. that's irrelevant to his driving ability. Anyone with any skill would have dusted your Q4 driving the G70 on that track. It's not a tight handling track and would favor a car with more power. He clearly just waved you by... I have nothing against the Q4 - in fact I like it but you really need to get past your extreme bias and be fair.

@@SlipAngleG70 nah sorry man. I’m not a rookie to track driving by any means. There was a Kia stinger and a g70 out there. Both were boats. They aren’t race cars period and their chassis suck. Period. Yes COTA is an f1 track…so it favors power…if you have grip. Shitty spring rates and sub par tires don’t facilitate grip. Blame Kia/Hyundai not me

With the money I spent on this car I could’ve purchased and then heavily modified a Kia stinger GT…… But I chose against that because the Kia stinger feels like a Korean Camry inside. The seats suck, steering wheel sucks interior sucks and the car is massive. Like Audi A7 massive Compared to a Giulia who’s designed by Ferrari, beautiful sporty interior, amazing seats, wheel, paddles, exterior , amazing chassis and world class transmission the list goes on. Even shares the same chassis as the QV and GTAM…..with a lightweight 4cyl engine and awd. Can’t beat that. I don’t care about a Kia stinger being able to do 2.8 0-60 with bigger turbo, e85, meth and full Bolton’s. That’s cool but absolutely useless. No one looks twice at a Kia stinger or a g70……EVERYONE looks at a Giulia

@@_fast4lfa I said the G70 driver wasn't experienced and thus the reason his lines were poor and he let you past. You wouldn't get past a G70 on COTA with a good G70 driver. You clearly have small man syndrome or a false sense of superiority because even if it was a special car, you would show a heck of a lot more humility. The Stinger isn't in this comparison, it's a GT car. The G70 is not a track car and neither is the Guilia to be frank. The Guilia is a great handling car for what it is but also not a race car. I've driven one and yeah, it's good (ish) but take the badge off and meh... average interior and the G70 kills it in SO many ways. If you really wanted a track car, a Civic Type-R would fit the bill. It would destroy the Guilia and cost much less plus it would be bullet proof... but then you couldn't say you have an Alpha Romeo and be "that guy".
