@@2189fallenangel I am so thankful to both you and the original post. I have two kids, both girls, one very introverted and one the polar opposite. They are 20 and 21 years old now. This girl reminded me of my introverted daughter so much- from her dark features to her air cast (my daughter spent like 6 weeks in one when she was in her teens). Anyway, I am so much like that mom (well, I would never do the scary mask jump scare- I learned that the hard way when she was like 6 years old). So yeah, it was like looking in a mirror- then being horrified by what you see. If I was a not-so-good mom, it wasn't for lack of trying- God knows I tried. Seeing this had me wondering did I try TOO hard. I have an autoimmune disease now, I spend 99% of my time in bed, and I don't expect to see my 50th birthday in 7 years. Being a mom was without question, my most important endeavor and my daughters are what I am most proud of. That is why these two comments mean so much to me- I like to think that my girls feel pretty similar to you and the original comment poster. Sorry, I know I'm rambling- I guess the comment section got me feeling a bit sentimental. Maybe, if you feel like it, you might tell your mom that you think she's a great mom. She knows you love her- of course you do, she's your mom- but thinking she was a GOOD mom, that's entirely different. Especially with your introverted nature, sometimes we don't know if you actually want us around or if we are just getting in your way or even worse than that, embarrassing you. So obviously I don't know anything about your whole situation- but I am positive that it would mean so much to your goofy, obnoxious, play-too-much mom to know that you actually think that she did a job.

Usually these shorts feature real bad acting, but not this time! This girl pulled off a convincing sense of dread and confusion. If she takes this stuff serious, she could go places. Wishing the best!

Charla Cochran Bocchicchio (played the mom) was quite good in this movie. Not the typical, overbearing mom. Just the right amount of character; to blend with the scenes.

i love the ambient train horns in the distance, it really adds some atmosphere for anyone interested, that horn is a Nathan AirChime K5HL, usually found on locomotives such as the ES44AC and ET44AC, and variants of those.

Can't believe that first scare got me lol

That synth music is the star of these. Great cinematography as well though. Actually these are all around badass reminds me of old school tales from the darkside but more honed in.

I must say I adore this flick! As creepy as Halloween ought to be.In Europe,where I grew up,Halloween was almost none existent in the eighties! I think they are trying to celebrate it now, but I haven't seen anyone trick or treating yet...Anyway,good work !

Great acting, and the mother is just adorable all over the place - a bit quirky, clearly trying to make her daughter feel a bit better, and not a push-over. (I absolutely love the cut-off at 4:30. Bloody lazy cheap-skates, if they can't bother with a good costume, they can by their own candy.)

I'd like a fall vacation in your opening credits, please.

We have a nice Fall up here in New Hampshire and Very Large Pumpkin Festival in Keene NH each year .....

I love the whole 80's style & music etc. They don't make movies like the used to as my mum's & pOpz would say

Excellent! I love Halloween, witches and movies about both. This film delivered everything but the candy corn! Great job and please, please, do a sequel of this film showing "the black" where they end up once they've seen her.

Horror movies are like car crashes, you know that you shouldn't watch but can't help yourself. I've got too much of an overactive imagination so this shit terrifies me

Very enjoyable short, well plotted and acted. I like the suspense level, it was maintained to the end.

Halloween is the coolest best holiday EVER! Every day from Labor Day til Halloween is a countdown. The decorations, the crisp clear air and skies... i love it. but i don't do pumpkin spice anything

Great job! Short, sweet and packed a good scare!! The acting was very good!!! Great story!!

I thought was well done. The ending lagged a little too long. I would have had all the lights come back on and then the mom come back upstairs to check on her daughter. She finds out she is gone. A mother's true nightmare.

Beginning is very much a throwback to Halloween (Mike Myers) and I *really* dig that. That font was just perfect. I really like the little touches like at the beginning where she is flicking through channels you see a butcher just downing raw meat. it's so weird and unnatural but no one reacts, that sets such a tone. I love weird little things like that. I'm not sure if it's just how the audio recorded or if it was dubbed over but that is a little bit of a downer, kind of takes you out of the mood just a tad. Over all though it was a nice, spooky little treat! Well done!

Evil exists in the world. Usually manifest in mankind but, there is no way we understand everything. By definition, we are not omniscient. The mother was so intense I kinda fell for her a little bit. The atmosphere was classic. And one friend being "into" boys while her friend still thinks they are gross is totally realistic. The witch's movements were spot on. Fine performances. Well done all!

Amazing one! Good acting and well filmed. I always enjoy watching Halloween festives onscreen. I'm from India and here some sections of people, especially youngsters wear spooky costumes and party on Halloween night, but it's never the same kind of fun which people in USA, England and Ireland have with trick or treat and decorations inside the houses and around the streets.

I am very impressed with some of these homemade horror shorts like "is that you?". The whole time I was hoping it would have been someone who the main character finally recognized at the end. I was on an emotional rollercoaster ride during the entire show. Bravo for a job well done!
