Like I said in your Strive video even tho Tekken comes across as a difficult fighting game for beginners it doesn't have to be, the amount of people I've seen who will look at the moves list and decide that the game is too hard to learn is way too many to count. My best advice for people new to Tekken is to take things slow and have fun first, find things that look cool to you and try to do it and the knowledge will come in time especially if you choose to challenge yourself and are willing to learn. If more people played this game with a casual "lets have fun" mentality I fully believe that alot of players wouldn't be so intimidated by the moves list that they quit the game. Also nice video btw really got your points across 🙂

Thank you!! Yeah I totally agree, find things that look cool to you, have fun with them, and you'll have a good time. You can worry about getting good later if you get to that point

So glad I got to be apart of this! It’s so funny how many gamers can feel like they’re the only ones going through a tough time in each game only to realize that we’re all treading the same path somehow. As usual, you delivered solid insight and it was an enjoyable video. I’d like to reemphasize that we don’t recommend taking our Jet flying instructions😂😂. Stay gaming!

Holy crap, we kinda have the same story. Tekken (7) was my first real fighting game, but not before I dropped it. Crazy that the only game in the series with anything even resembling a tutorial is Tag 2 of all things. The games offer very little to help a new player in terms of guide-like content but their button-mash combos and juggle system somewhat lends itself to the base discovery.

Kind of strange considering that Soul Calibur 6 seems relatively forward thinking in beginner teaching tools for the time, sort of a shame the Tekken team didn’t pick up on that. Did you ever try Pokken? Sorry if I’ve asked you before and forgot

@@frumiousgaming I've "tried" Pokken like 3 times, never for more than like 10 minutes. Something about it just does not click with me.

TheMainManSwe has pretty good guides and in-depth character analysis on his channel, and even other channels for example ThatBlastedSalami, many other resources on YT. This game does take a lot of perseverance and a lot more time spent on practice mode compared to other fighting games. But it's still worth it, the fun you can achieve when playing someone who's of a similar skill level is immense.

Getting into tekken 8 has never been easier, in just about every way. I played tekken 3? back when I was a kid and even though I beat the arcade mode many times, I didn't know shit and there were basically no resources to learn with. Even the training mode I remember would force you to do the input correctly before showing the input on to the next move and you couldn't go backwards. It was practically useless to be honest. The very idea of korean back dashing would have sounded preposterous to me and now there are hundreds if not thousands of videos demonstrating it and how to learn it. Everything you need to "git gud" at tekken is now readily available and explained in numerous ways. There's also THE BEST replay system you're probably ever going to get, unless it starts mentioning "you can side step that" and even then it allows you to put yourself into the situation and test until you find a solution. It's the best tekken learning tool and maybe even just learning tool, ever made. The only thing stopping anyone is the effort.

I actually didn't know that Tekken is considered so difficult to get into. I feel like I'm hit with a curse of knowledge type deal with this, as I've been playing Tekken since literally Tekken 1. I'm more used to blazing through it. Definitely wish the best for any picking this up! Tekken is an absolute blast.

Tekken 7 is really cool game, but for me roster is too huge and also netcode sucks. I have high hopes for T8 and I can't wait to learn characters with new flashy moves.
