thanks for sharing sis, I agree with you 100%! Tonight i'm going to my first women and children only swim at a local pool, but I do also swim at the beach (fully covered of course.) I choose to go to ocean beaches because they have less people than the lakes where i live. Going to the beach always reminds me of the power of Allah swt to create such beauty! alhamdulillah

For your safety, when you are swimming, the water saturates your clothes, which makes them heavy. If you ever swim in the surf, please don't wear all these clothes, including headwear, you will drown. The weight of the garments will pull you under. Nothing against your religion, just water safety.

It depends if her husbands permits it or not.

I want to ask one question I can’t find any Islamic ruling on it, I want to learn swimming and my university has this facility and for women it is properly covered when it is women’s timing hours but the thing which is concerning me is that is it permissible to swim in that water in which men swam previously as they don’t and can’t change pool water everytime so pool is one but it has different timings for male and females so can we swim in the water in which men swam previously is it permissible?

The Prophet Muhammad pbuh said there are three things every Muslim should learn: Swimming, horse riding, and archery. However, today we don't really ride horses or use archery for self defense purposes so you should instead, learn to drive a car or motorbike and learn how to use a firearm.

May Allah SWT guide us all. Sister, swimming in public pools is surely not permissible for women or men as you are exposed to the awrah of others. Swimming is a sunnah not a fard. There are many things that we want to do but it doesn’t make them halal. Yes you can swim with your family on beach when you are there alone but if someone is accompanying you in the beach how can you defend your perspective. As muslims our reasoning should be from quran and sunnah not from our feelings

Modestly covered women can swim in a safe environment . Moreover men are the ones supposed to lower their gaze. So maybe yall should get used to private pools
