Is Swarovski Jewelry Worth It? It Totally...

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Some may look at Swarovski crystals and Swarovski jewelry and wonder if it's worth adding to their jewelry collection. They're certainly no Cartier and no Tiffany. It's true that they're not diamonds and they're not precious stones either, so are Swarovski crystals worth it?

It's a fact that Swarovski crystals aren't diamonds or precious stones but it's precisely this distinction that makes them worth the consideration. Why? Because they also don't cost nearly as much as diamonds. It's for this reason that Daniel Swarovski envisioned and created the company and essentially, the Swarovski crystal. In his eyes, he wanted to create "a diamond for everyone." Swarovski crystals also cost less than cubic zirconia (CZ), making this an incredible alternative for those that want the bling but don't want to or can't spend the money.
Swarovski can be seem almost everywhere and on a multitude of applications. It's been worn by countless celebrities, has bedazzled luxury cars and even supercars (wild!), and even stole the show at the 2018 Academy Awards.
Another fun fact?
The marquisette dress that Marilyn Monroe wore when she sang "Happy Birthday, My President," was embellished in more than 2,500 Swarovski crystals. Remarkably enough, the man who designed the dress, Bob Mackie, just got out of college!

I don't get paying hundreds for plated costume jewellery set with nice glass crystals. It's about the same price as getting sterling silver jewellery set with moissanites, which are lifetime jewellery in precious metal.

I visited the Swarovski Museum in Austria and was … amazing is a very Little word…the Sun chamber was outstanding! We GoT also as a welcome gift 3 bags with crystals - I think were 10 in each bag. The Flower garden was out if this world! I am a person who apreciate heritage and art and this is Why I really appreciate this brand. … That visit was one of the most precious memories I have with my son and husband. If you like museums I really recommend visiting the Crystal Valley.

Swarovski might have great crystals, but the quality of their products is not good. Any jewlery that doesn't tell you what metal it is made of is low quality, and that's exactly what was the problem last time i tried to buy swarovski jewlery. I only buy hypoallergenic metals despite not being allergic. Swarovski uses nickel, which turns your skin green and is a common allergy. They plate it with gold and other pure metals, but the coating will wear off if you use it more than once, making your skin green and the jewlery look worn and bad quickly. For such a huge name I would have expected pure silver or stailess steel to be their base metal.

she says that in the video, and the price comes is from the high facets and brilliance, anyone that knows about jewellery could tell you that, it’s about the cutting precision, not what it’s made of. also a swarovski crystal would be like $5 compared to $800 for a same size diamond with low clarity. also it’s on plated jewellery which again is keeping costs lower

I inherited a large collection of the animal figurines after my grandmother passed. Some of them were only available at the time for members. Just realize these don't have much resale value at all. Pieces that my grandmother paid over $500 back in the 90's are selling on Ebay for like $75. I was looking around to value them for insurance purposes before realizing they just are not all that valuable. I even called some pawn shops; they weren't even interested. Yes, they are beautiful looking pieces inside a curio cabinet. But they are essentially nothing more than expensive knick knacks.

@@Maggie22002 Um...not really. They pass it off somehow as crystal...but it isn't. Its glass. Its beautiful no doubt, and the craftsmanship is remarkable, but at the end of the day it is nothing more than glass pieced together. The "stores" can charge whatever they want to gullible people who believe they are getting fancy items, but the reality is...their not lol. And for "value"? Virtually worthless. Piece's that my grandmother bought back in the 90's for $500+ to "exclusive only members" are selling all day on Ebay for $75.

@@Maggie22002 Not too beat you up, as I myself got a rude awakening trying to find the value of these... Pawn shops don't want them. Let that sink in. Places that will take a functioning weed whacker or a working boombox from the 90's aren't interested in these. If a pawn shop of all places can't see money, it's worthless. Unless you find the right gullible person. :)
