I usually pick the cheapest thing on the 717 website just to enter the giveaway. Yes, it's based on the dollar amount for entries but one entry has the same ability to win as does 1000 entries. You'll of course have better odds but that doesn't mean you'll actually win if you spend more money to get more entries. The lottery back home used to say, "Some lucky dog will win! However, you have to play to win. So spend as little as you can and if you win... You get a badass car or truck.

The people complaining about the price are overlooking the fact that you're entering to win a vehicle. No one is buying anything from his site if not for the giveaway. I look at it as though I'm buying a raffle ticket for the prospect of winning a cool vehicle, and getting something I ordered as a concession when I don't win the raffle.

Very interesting review for wheel cleaners, I never use them I normally just use the car soap to clean the wheels, but now that I watched your review I’ll buy the meguires hot wheel cleaner. Would like to add that I do use white wall cleaner for the tires with a tire brush to really clean the black wall tires as I feel that it does a better job then the one titled and marked “black wall”. What do you use and recommend to clean your tires?

Mike said him and Shane needed something to clean the exhaust tips on their cars so this is mainly what it is used for. I used it on my Vette (C7 Z51) and it worked great. Can you do a video testing his product vs others that claim to clean exhaust tips or soot? I would be interested to see the results.

I also get the SS717 Wheel and Soot cleaner and for the same reason, possibility of getting a free car/truck is always nice. However, I tend to just use the Meguiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax Liquid and simply scrub each wheel with a wheel brush and give them a quick rinse afterwards. They almost always come out 100% clean and stay that way for some time. Loved the video though, great comparison between the 4 different brands. Maybe another you could try is a good exhaust tip cleaner and/or chrome cleaner thats painless to use. Don't see many vids on those.

Nice work! My first time seeing one of your videos, your production value is top notch. My conclusion is that all of these "wheel cleaners" work as well as most automotive APCs, I wouldn't buy any of those as a dedicated wheel cleaner. My go to is Adams tire and rubber cleaner (cleans tires exceptionally well and does pretty good on the wheel) for maintenance washes, for deep cleaning try koch chemie's MWC (magic wheel cleaner) it was designed to be a touch less cleaner, but works wonders with mild agitation.

There kind of is one flaw with the procedure here. Not all 4 wheels are going to start with the same amount of break dust and dirt. That would depend on which wheel they were on, the size of the brake pad, brake rotor, whether the car is fwd/rwd/awd, so it’s nearly impossible to keep it consistent with all those variables. I’m not saying the results would’ve been different, but it’d be cool to see you do another video like this somewhat addressing these issues. Maybe mark which wheel is which, drive for x amount of miles (maybe the same route for similar braking), clean them, and then rotate the wheels and drive the same amount of miles/same route and clean them again making sure to mark all the rags for later comparison

Good content. I’m a street speed fan too. But the wheel cleaner is WAY overpriced. If you can make a wheel cleaner for 7 dollars that does a good job, how can you justify 25 bucks for a product that does the same thing. And actually not a great job. For 25 bucks I would expect a wheel cleaner to leave no brake dust. I know that is nearly unheard of. But I’m out for 25.

What's the point of ANY so called wheel cleaner if I still have to hand scrub the wheel to get them clean? Save your money and use the same cleaner that you would use on the rest of the car. Use a separate bucket but the same soap .

Exactly what I just said 😂 I detail for a living all these products got watered down if you want to pre rinse at least use a pressure washer and lightly mist the wheel and make sure your using more product then water

It’s just too expensive you can buy chemical guys DIABLO gel that you mix in a bottle and it’s 9 bucks makes like 3/4 regular size spray bottles for 9 bucks… best out there

The fact he charges $25 is a joke. But If youre going to scrub you can just use normal car soap. Scrubbing anything with anything will take brake dust off all that matters is on if you touch every part of the wheel while scrubbing

I detail for a living you didn’t give any of these products a fair chance the “scrubbing” you did was terrible barely got in between the spokes these aren’t spray on then rinse of and your shits gonna be brand new again only wheel acid will do that I’ve used every single one of these products and they all pretty much suck besides the street speed one with the other products you’ll see that when they dry you’ll see residue left on the wheel but these rims weren’t even dirty 😂 MIST the rim with water spray the wheel cleaner on deliberately covering every inch not just the face of the rim but inside the spokes which you missed let it sit for at least 2 minutes then go inside with your brush and actually scrub the rim instead of this half ass job then you’ll see better results you most likely watered down the product using so much water

I would never pay $25 for tire cleaner, you should switch it up and buy T-shirts from the King of T-shirts salesman with a chance of getting a free vehicle.

717's is absolutely tripe when you look at just the cost. It really isn't value for money not when a far cheaper product is by far superior in doing the job.

For the price of the 717 cleaner it is clearly a rip off and McGuires was the best and what I personally use if you want to win something go buy a lottery ticket with the money that you save and you’ll have the same chance of winning but a heck of a lot more!
