Is Being Addicted to Your Phone Creating a Society of ADHD? | MENTAL WELLNESS DAILY

How often are you on your cell phone? Are you maybe on your cell phone right now while watching this video?
When you think back to the last time you were in a waiting room, using public transportation, sitting at restaurant, or waiting for your flight at the airport, how likely was it that you were attached to a screen? When you glanced over at the people around you, how many of them were on their phones too? Does this mean that more and more people have shorter attention spans? Let’s take a look at ADHD and if social media is contributing to this. #socialmedia #phone #adhd #mentalhealth #mentalwellnessdaily

The information in this video is quite interesting, especially the effects of cell phone and social media use on people who suffer from ADHD, particularly the inattentive type. The effect of this usage resulting in sleep disruption, anxiety, exhaustion, hyper focus and an uptick in impulsivity is a reminder to moderate use. While the smart phones and social media do help us in broadening our horizons, bridging geographical divides and helps us fulfill our needs for connection to others, I feel the days when we had less sophisticated phones were better! I loved the quote at the end about the greatest gift we can give to ourselves is a little bit of our attention! I also like the new logo for this channel!!
