None of you have ever trained so why the argument? His point it...the style doesn't matter. ALL styles are effective...it just depends on who is using the style. If you are weak and lack the warrior spirit...learning muay thai and bjj isn't going to save you in a street fight. ALL styles are effective. A natural badass who decides to train aikido will destroy a weak scared beta who goes to the boxing gym.

Martial arts starts with your choice of environment, way of moment to momentum intimacy, routines, standards, friends, venues, and then your awareness of yourself and situations, then your listening, observing, then your creative intuitive responses to disarm/deflect, then your response to necessary movements by being in the moment.

He gave an enlightened answer. Fighting is ultimately about how much fight is in that person. Either you have it or not. You don't think about it. You just know until someone can show you that you don't know.
