The thing with Serie A is they suck at marketing like Pogba was genuinely the last global superstar the league has produced. A good example is the Bologna side coming 3rd most casual fans don’t even know that they are 3rd and how much of a great achievement that is but inthe PL when the likes of Brighton come 6th yk every player they have like Mitoma, Caicedo, Ferguson and won’t stop hearing how good they are as a club in general

Sorry but this is absolute nonsense. So many of the great were created in serie a. And serie a has a much better fan culture than the premier league. Just look at the champions league final between Inter and man city. I only heard Inter fans that night. The reason for level of premier league being higher than serie a is simply just money. But still clubs like Inter maneged to have a great squad even tho they basicly only buy free agents. Serie a teams is not on prem level but dont underestimate them. No team wants to meat serie a teams. Just look at liverpool. But yeah… its all about money

@@alexcena5692 dude relax, siddh said was that Serie A suck at marketing their stars from stars to superstar compared to the EPL. And I agree with him. I don’t necessarily agree it’s a good thing. Cos EPL promotes their star to better than they actually are and it hurts them when they face other teams. They come to their realization that others are better whether they accept or not, it’s up to them. However, there should be a balance in promoting star but at the same time giving them the room for growth. Serie A can improve in that department.

100 % Agree. 3 Thing I want from Serie A (A) Improve English Commentary hire some better English commentators to improve the quality of game. (B)They also need to start some sort of pre match and post match show with English speaking pundits to attract English speaking audience. (C) Serie A needs to Use social media for their benefit like upload some sort of documentaries on KZread, provide old full matches, Use the contents of big players for eg All cr7 goals in serie A. I think these things surely help in growth and marketing for serie A.

Serie A teams need to catch up on youth development. France has Camavinga, Barcola, Zare-Emery; Germany has Musiala, Florian Wirtz; Spain has Gavi, Pedri, Fermin, Lamine Yamal. You can't always bet on finding generational talents like Maldini or Totti or Pirlo, but where are the 18-20 year olds who look like they can step into the first team, like they could be the next Verratti, Cassano, Nesta, Ambrosini, Gattuso, Marchisio, Del Piero, Di Natale, or even Balotelli?

THIS, this is the biggest problem in Serie A, but in Italy in general too. Like pundits (but not only them) here call "young" players that are 25 or more, like what? There are MEN in their prime, its just so absurd. This is some cultural and infrastructure problem (money to youth programs), just sidelining young player because "they don't have the experience with the league", like shut up and let play the guy who's youing but looks strong and shows promise instead of a 30ish something "veteran"

Serie A has a Lot of things going for it despite not having the transfer budgets: - The Gap between the best team and the 8/9th place teams is smaller than other leagues - More variety in styles of play allowing more chances for old school individual flair players to shine (Dybala Kvara, SMS & Papu recently) - Special atmospheres in historic stadiums especially at Olímpico San Siro & Maradona Other leagues: - have the same few teams winning every year - are copying each others style of play more and more (Prem) - Soulless modern stadiums with tourist fans (Prem)

It’s just disappointing to see that the beauty of Serie A is in dismay due to the financial crises that none of the Bundesliga/La Liga/Prem seem to deal with much at all. I hope things change.

Germany did shit in 22/23 and Spain did shit in 23/24 like England. Next season, Italy could have 9 teams in Europe so we can continue our growing stats and decreasing the gap with England in UEFA coeff. points.

“the best league” depends on what you think constitutes the best league. If you’re talking money and marketing, then EPL, obviously. If we’re talking Euro performance the past couple of years, it’s Serie A and Bundesliga. If you’re talking last decade, it’s EPL. If you’re talking last 30 years, it’s La Liga…depends on criteria. The way that EPL fans always state that they’re ‘clearly the best league’ is stupid to me. I personally prefer Serie A as the best due to history, passion, fans, coaching quality, and I genuinely think Serie A has one of, if not the strongest league when you look overall. We don’t have the best team in the world, but we have 8-9 very solid teams.

Gasperini has done an incredible job with Atalanta no doubt. He has shown his ability to take subpar players and make them fit into a system and achieve well above their limits. How many players left Atalanta and looked horrible: Castagne, Gosens, Gagliardini, Hojlund (maybe a bit harsh). By saying if you dont win a trophy you are not a winner, means that these players or managers that don't have the structure of a top 2/3 team, will always be failures. On the other hand, Gasperini was awful at Inter. Even if he didn't have a long time there, it was poisonous.

Serie A is a great league and i would say it is one of the best in the world for sure. Even Serie B to C is extremely exciting, the issue is no one watches past A. If you truly watched Serie C to A you would see. Trapani no one knew had a 41 game unbeaten streak. Serie C playoffs happening right now have been extremely. Exciting. Then you go to Serie B, Palermo is at the cusp of coming back to Serie A, Venezia is creeping in to potential Serie A promotion. Then you go to Serie A, yes Inter ran away with the title but rightfully so. Fiorentina, 2 semi-finals this year, another European final. Bologna shoots all the way up to 3rd and in Champions league for next year. Along with great playing Torino, Monza who had a pretty good season. Genoa showed a lot of promise and is looking to have a lot of potential going into next season. Wait until next season Serie A through C is going to be great next season!

Where was Allegri’s respect for Juve that when things were crumbling he didnt step away with humility and continued to ruin this team and not show a willingness to change and get something going by changing his ideology? 2. I think Juventus has proven with ADP and Buffon how they send off legends.

He has invested 100s of millions of his own funds without seeing any return on that. He obviously likes Rocco but that should not affect his perception, Zhang despite having personal issues has invested more than Rocco and quite frankly he’s also had significantly more success. Fiorentina, especially in the league is constantly failing to meet expectations if we are honest.

BRO, Allegri allegedly assaulted a tutto sport journalist and threatened him, Juventus guys had to go and apologize to a lot of people behind the scenes, and after that, there is no way Juventus should let him still coach Juve in the last two games...

Serie A WAS the best league in the world. The things is Italian league are too strict with their "culture", like a manager/coach in italian club is has to be italian... And There's a lot of very potential young italian player. But I don't understand why there's not many italian players playing outside Italy and become successful, and that's some serious problem for italy...

no doubt Serie A was the best most competitive entertaining league in the world during 1987-2006. the greatest players from all over the world. the insane team rosters of Milan, Juve, Inter with Ronaldo Baggio and Vieri in attack. Fiorentina with Batistuta. Roma Lazio Parma Udinese Palermo all competitive and had and produced so many great future world class players. never see that again.

Its definitely not the best. The infrastructure at almost all the teams needs a massive overhaul. Stadiums and training facilities. I agree that the league is competitive at the top of the league but the lower teams at the bottom are absolutely atrocious and the gap between serie a and serie b is a big one. Ultimately, serie a should be the most beautiful league in the world with the best fans, kits, and stadiums and of course level of football. I hope it returns to its former glory but i think thats still many years in the future if at all

Don't forget that Juve won the scudetto 9 or 10 times in a row before hand. There have not been any European trophies except for the national team, who's star players are still in other leagues. That's like saying the Bundesliga is a bad league because Bayern wins it all the time. But, the Italian league is my favorite. Calcio is better than football or soccer.

NOPE. It was back in the day but right now it has fallen behind Premiere League, La Liga, and Bundesliga. Serie A needs a serious upgrade. Italian teams are great, but I feel that Italy is not producing the world class talent that France and Spain is producing. Where are those Italian superstars? I hope this changes and we see a Renaissance in Italian Calcio.
