Universal nerf to light damage starter scaling is a really big hit for ken I think, makes your already abysmal damage conversions even less so

I'd say Ryu just isn't the type of character that could ever be considered "broken". He's just a really complete and good character now. He has a long reaching drive rush option, fixed reversal timings with level 3, more active frames for his cr strong, proper zoning, more ways to execute denjin without sacrificing pressure, etc. He's just "really good" now. The only thing that's "busted" or "broken" with him is him actually having 1 dishonest and spammable move-- the light hashogeki. Because he's safe off of it regardless of how well thought-out it is. He's probably gonna be barely in top 10 or right outside of it.

His zoning got nerfed He zone better in previous version Now if i short hado from max range i get only +3 It used to be 5+ +5 with ex was not jumpable and pushes back so far you continue safe zoning. Now i cant do that they can jump and punish my ex. The nerf is for pushback of st.short. Hadoken recovery is still the same.

Big bird ryu wins evo this year.

I don't think Ryu is broken. He's suppose to be this way. This is the best Ryu so far since SF4.

His jump ins are still terrible, and his driverush mediocre. I think he's a pretty good character now. Time will tell if any tournament wins will come his way.

@@3Vizo yes scrub. for example, Luke's jump ins are amazing, they give characters like Dhalsim and Rashid problems. Against Ryu no character has to worry about him jumping, any AA will work
