Defense was definitely sloppy but at that point I think they ran out of angles. Really Tory lawyer lost the case when he grilled Kelsey asking if the prosecutors made her say stuff allowing her testimony to be played in full. Much more believable than what she said on stand under pressure.

@@Queenbrilight275 December 2021 transcripts say otherwise. The witness never said that Tory was shooting in the air or anywhere until after he spoke with the DA 2 days before he testified. His call to 911 was 2 girls violently fighting. When he spoke to police he said he saw flashes coming from the non victim female then the shorter guy got out of the car and grabbed it from her. Then they were all fighting. Which to me sounds like a struggle to get it away from someone. That’s why the DA didn’t use him as a witness. The lead detective also testified to what the witness said. Since they didn’t test megan for GSR or DNA you’ll never know who pulled that gun out or whose it was. But if that was Tory’s gun and he shot the gun his DNA would be on it and it wasn’t. But fighting over 🍆 or being shot by a celebrity which one you think is gonna sell more? You can believe Tory shot her but you can’t deny she lied about how it all went down.

Lmfao Tory is still to blame. Regardless of what happened with Mr. Kelly, Tory still gave the jury enough evidence to convict him. Whether it was the phonecall he made to Kelsey, the gun being found where he was sitting, or Kelsey's original statement, Tory Lanez did enough to warrant a guilty verdict. At every possible turn, he decided to move in an unwise manor. I wish people would quit trying to give this man some sort of excuse, and actually hold him accountable for his own actions

This is what I can't understand about this Roc-Nation gossip. Let's start on the origin of how this situation ended up at trial in the first place. Wasn't it said initially that Megan Thee Stallion wasn't even trying to out Tory Lanez? The whole situation was embarrassing, so Megan was trying to sit in the corner, be quiet, and eat her food. All Tory had to do was be remorseful and quiet. It wasn't until after Tory started acting goofy and pleading his case with the public that Megan spoke out. She didn't press charges on Tory Lanez. Tory supposedly had his team working on swaying the court of public opinion. So why are people's panties in a bunch about the Roc Nation rumors. If the rumors are true, I can't get mad when someone else played the game better than you.

Going to school is very important. Education won't make most rich, but it teaches analytical thought and comprehension skills, which is lacking in this country. Many of our brothers are intellectually stagnant. It is frustrating to engage them in conversation. I absolutely refuse to moving foward. The handling of this case solidified want I always knew. They are desensitized to guns and violence against Black Women because they engage in it frequently. Note, this wasn't Tory's first run-in with the law. I also understand that Joe probably was paid to spin the story, but Tory's admission of guilt via the phone call from jail was deafening. Tory also had the opportunity to take the stand but opted not to. Yet, many content creators are windmilling to save face or ignoring to discuss the phone call and are creating these fallacies in their undeveloped minds. None on this panel have a basic understanding of the law and or trolling for likes. They should probably stick to the usual discussions on top rappers, child support, passports, and submission.

School taught me a lot of things but common sense and biblical truth was not it. There are MANY brothers rotting away in prisons and the grave due to pride and the inability to swallow and live in freedom and to see another day. 🤣🤣🤣 This pod is really reaching longer than Pippen to defend Tory. What Tory's father said isn't credible. He's arrogant and a nut to say "our witness". The defense and the prosecution sometimes call the best witnesses they have available. But the best available aren't always the most solid for your case. Also, witnesses, for a variety of factors, switch up. They are very biased on here because they should easily say the same thing about Kelsey. Kelsey was legally deposed and admitted Tory did it in September. That's why the prosecution called her as their witness. But she switched up on the prosecution and attempted to screw the whole trial. Tory's problem was that he didn't want to take the stand in HIS OWN DEFENSE (probably cause he shot Megan). When that happens, the defense has to try hard AF to create a narrative with witnesses who saw what they saw or remember what they remember. So blame Tory. Both for shooting Megan but also for arrogantly walking into court despite the fact that he did mad fu&&ery (including bribing Megan and Kelsey) that made him look guilty as hell

Right now, three companies (Warner Records, Universal Music Group, and Sony Music Group) control around 90% of the depiction of hip hop. At the same time, two companies, CoreCivic (formerly CCA Corrections Corporation of America) and GEO Group, own almost all the private prison beds in the USA. What connects these two industries together? Vaunguard and Blackrock, which are the largest shareholders in both media and prisons! Last year Corrections Corporation of America (CCA), the biggest name in the private prison industry, contacted 48 states offering to buy their prisons. One stipulation of eligibility for the deal was particularly bizarre: “an assurance by the agency partner that the agency has sufficient inmate population to maintain a minimum 90% occupancy rate over the term of the contract. What kind of legitimate and ethical measures could possibly be taken to ensure the maintenance of a 90% prison occupancy rate? Two months later an anonymous email was sent out to various members of the music and publishing industries giving an account of a meeting where it was determined that hip-hop music would be manipulated to drive up privatized prison profits. Its author, despite claiming to be a former industry insider, did not provide the names of anyone involved in the plot, nor did he specify by which company he himself was employed. As such, the letter was largely regarded as a fraud for lack of facts."

He was apologizing for his role of how everything transpired after he threw his affair with Meg in Kelsey's face in the car the way he did, which enraged Kelsey and fought it out with Meg, then went for the gun to shoot at her... She was betrayed. But the phone call audio doesn't mean anything but showed that KELSEY was buying time to get back at both Tory & Meg, and to cover her own butt. And the fact she got outta jail 1st before he did, then took his phone call at the hospital where Meg was.. It wouldn't surprise me that she tried to somehow persuade Meg that Tory shot her. From there, that's when she did that 80 minute interview of lies putting everything on Tory just to cover her own ass.. Why you think she asked for a full immunity on the stand? EJ King was the only one who actually cleared Tory's name by simply letting us know the gun was in Kelsey's bag at Kylie's house. And if you listen to the audio of gunshots, after those first 3.. You'll distinctively hear someone screamed "stop it man" then the next two shots would rang out. (You have to put on headphones for it to hear it better.) We have to get away from the court of public opinion that Roc Nation steady pushing. And with Desiree Perez being there during the verdict proved 1000% they set Tory up from jump. Jay-Z and Roc Nation didn't tell Tory Lanez to commit domestic violence against Megan Thee Stallion. He did that of his own accord. If you want to know the root of the problem so the issue of men being violent towards women can stop. I’m sure the Defense Attorney (Tory’s Attorney) spoke to the Prosecutors witnesses first too. The Prosecutor just isn’t speaking on it because it’s normal. This whole trial was crazy. To me it seems like everyone is hearing what they want to hear and is going with that. The witness may have told Tory’s Attorneys he saw a female with a gun/flash near her or whatever and they ran with that. They probably never asked him if their client was seen with a gun also and it backfired. There’s no way Tory paid his Attorney’s all this money and they didn’t question him again before he hit the stand. It’s not a conspiracy. Same thing for the Prosecutor. They should have questioned Kelsey again before she hit the stand. But I don’t hear y’all talking about that. Y’all sound dumb. This is how court goes. Tory’s Attorney’s should’ve questioned him before he took the stand and if they didn’t like what he said they didn’t have to use him. I don’t think this witness really helped the Prosecutor. This is dumb, and this is why stupid people shouldn't be having these conversations. The whole premise of this so called 'conspiracy' is that their witness was interviewed by the DA. Well, the DA and prosecutors get to interview the defense witnesses before trial, just like the defense gets to interview the prosecution witnesses. If their witness told the truth to the DA and not to them, and they still brought him out as a defense witness, then that's a bad job on the part of his attorney. But their witness talking to the prosecutors before the trial is completely normal. Never in the trial did the defense dispute the Meg was shot, they just tried to blame it on Kelsey. Ask yourself, what's more likely to have happened. Kelsey shot Meg because she was mad that she slept with people behind her back. Or that Tory told Meg to dance, shot at the ground near her feet, and a bullet ricocheted off the ground and hit Meg in the ankle. I'll go with the second one. Because if Kelsey shot Meg and then they got Tory to take the blame. Tory is the biggest simp in the history of man!!! Taking a charge for a girl who's not your wife isn't about any street code, or not snitching, it's just not a real thing. He shot Meg. And I'm sure the mil he offered Meg has now been delivered to Kelsey for her part in conveniently forgetting details she previously said when interviewed by the prosecution.
