That does raise a good question though, even if Mahomes passes him in terms of stats, does Brady stay the GOAT because he beat him every time in the Playoff? The only Super Bowls he's won were seasons he didn't have to play Brady.

@@TheRevengeofThemDawgsBrady’s Career overall is one that is very special. Due to this theory, Brady can still be argued as the goat due to his adversity against the best defenses in the history of the nfl, while mahomes right now is able to pick away at a defense that isn’t even close.

Elway is decidedly below Brees in my opinion, despite Brees having only 1 ring to Elway's 2. Brees had more career longevity and, largely as a result, put up much better career numbers than Elway with far fewer weapons.

@@KevinIsAMilitaryGenius Lets look at Patrick Mahome’s NFL record thus far. Regular season games played as starter: 6 yrs. 74-22 78% win percentage. Post Season: 15-3 (83%) He has played in 6 consecutive AFC championship games and won 4 of them. He has gone 3 and 1 in the Super Bowl. He was the fastest QB to get to 10K, and 25K passing yards. He did the same for 100 and 200 passing touchdowns. He has a post season career passer rating of 106 (best for any QB with over 150 attempts. His passer rating of 103.5 combined reg and post season is only bested by Rodger’s 103.6. If we look at tom brady’s first 6 years as a starter. He went 70 and 24 (74%) in the regular season and 12 and 3 (85%) in the post season. He played in 5 of six AFC championship games, going 3 and 2 while winning all 3 Super Bowls. Mahomes has the edge on the regular season and the post season for W/L and has the statistical edge in passing stats. But brady played for 21 years as a starter (2008 he missed due to injury). He went 250-82 (75%) in the regular season and 35-13 (71%) in the post season. His Superbowl record is 7-3. While brady has longevity on Mahomes and thus a larger number of Super Bowls, Mahomes is showing better passer statistics. If Mahomes can play for 15 or more years then I can see how he could take over the GOAT tag. The only thing that is a potential pit fall is the 7 SB wins. But Patrick already has 3. I don’t think that Mahomes needs to get to 8 wins to be the GOAT. With his states and QBR 5 wins gets him in the conversation.

Probably play up until about 40 years old, first his speed goes then his arm then overall regression just like Rodgers. So, to get 8 rings he’ll need to win 5 out of the next 10 SBs. That’s nearly impossible. Brady went to 6 or 7/10 near the end of his career. But the NEvNY, NEvLA, and TBvKC rosters are literally 3 different teams. Only reason they pulled that off was Bill and him switching teams, it’s nearly impossible for one team in the nfl to be that consistently great at finding no name talent. I think Mahomes retires with 5, maybe even 6 rings. But 7 or 8? He’ll need a Bill Russell/MJ type run to pull that off
