The Congregation of the Fathers of Mercy, which was founded in 1808, originally under the title of “The Missionaries of France.” The community was founded for the purpose of re-evangelizing the people of France after the Catholic Faith had been subjected to years of attacks and persecution during the French Revolution. It is now exclusively an American community. The Generalate of the Congregation is located in Auburn, Kentucky. The primary apostolate of the Fathers of Mercy is to conduct parish missions and retreats throughout the United States and other countries when called upon. The Congregation also staffs The National Shrine of Our Lady of Champion in Green Bay, WI, and two rural parishes in the Archdiocese of Louisville, Kentucky.

Best description of Divine Mercy I hav heard for a long time; thank you Father for clearing up the difference between plenary indulgence & Divine Mercy Sunday promise; most people think its the former!! As u say no condition for DM Sun except confession & Holy Communion in a state of grace whereas the plenary indulgence requires that we are totally detaches from all sin - as u say kinda hard!! May the Lord reward you & all DM priests - Ireland 🇮🇪 🙏

GOD have mercy, and blesses you. And hopefully you go to heaven .. God knows our hearts. And he is the one who has the option. So have a true love for our God. This means if you are sincere, God knows ... Amen.

@@RickGrimes-tr3ugnot once does he say "unconditional". This being pointed out to you gives you the opportunity to ask yourself why you let the devil convince you he did so you then attacked this homily. He says limitless...unfathomable....never did he say unconditional. Peace be with you.

@@margaretoconnor9360 Condemned by the Holy Office There were two decrees from Rome on this question, both of the time of Pope John XXIII. The Supreme Congregation of the Holy Office, in a plenary meeting held on November 19, 1958, made the following decisions: The supernatural nature of the revelations made to Sister Faustina is not evident. No feast of Divine Mercy is to be instituted. It is forbidden to divulge images and writings that propagate this devotion under the form received by Sister Faustina. The second decree of the Holy Office was on March 6, 1959, in which the following was established: The diffusion of images and writings promoting the devotion to Divine Mercy under the form proposed by the same Sister Faustina was forbidden. The prudence of the bishops is to judge as to the removal of the aforesaid images that are already displayed for public honor. What was it about this devotion that prevented the Holy Office from acknowledging its divine origin? The decrees do not say, but it seems that the reason lies in the fact that there is so much emphasis on God’s mercy as to exclude His justice. Our sins and the gravity of the offense that they inflict on God is pushed aside as being of little consequence. That is why the aspect of reparation for sin is omitted or obscured.
