There are no words to describe how much I love this show.
This very cleverly imitates something the UK government's PR team constantly struggles with in terms of not wanting to offend communities by leaving them out despite it being completely uneconomical to do the thing they're trying not to do but usually end up doing.
They should show this video as a training video to dealing with difficult people in the workplace. It's pure genius.
The title and topic seems to date this but it's still brilliant and very, very funny.
Loved this.... 10/10
Right...okay... -- Okay...right... -- Okay...Okay... -- it is absolutely fascinating, how many times! Also: "I don't mean to be funny, BUT..." -- Oh, but you are!
Hugh bonneville was on "star in a reasonably priced car" just before the series aired and said that the script was pretty much whatever was happening in the BBC at the time
I loved this series. Gave me ‘Thick of it’ vibes

Like you, I thought that she was mustard but she was destined just to play bit parts and become an Extra in a lost episode of Dad's Army, I'm afraid. She is now Employed on a Zero Hour contract at Sports Direct servicing Mike Ashley and his every need...

@@dough740 Alas and Alack, Doug the harsh reality is that with plain, dowdy features like this obscure actress had she had no chance in The Business which is a shame as she could have been a Contender like Sly Stallone...

Went into obscurity 😅
They hammered their own toe.
I would bet a significant chunk of money that this show was in some way based on an Australian comedy called The Games, which ran on ABC in the lead up to the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

And was way funnier. John Howard's apology was gold. And the swimming pool episode. RIP John Clarke.

I just saw a trailer on YT about a show that reminded me of w1a. It has an HR, sales, and IT depts. I think the show may be on youtube. Any clue what it may be?

A 3:01 does Ian call Sally ‘Sandy’?
🤔???
As much as I loved Twenty Twelve, W1A was even better, in my opinion.
Wut
Looks like they filmed the rehearsals truly awful

comedy pretending to be reality TV?
I don't know if anyone realises but this series is a complete ripoff of a classic Australian comedy series, The Games, based on prep for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Great American TV show
Defund then BBC.
This is like something you would have seen on Pravda. A cringe inducing attempt at comedy where the actors struggle to conform with the states irrational ideology. Ironically the sketch comes across as a satire of the BBC multicultural dogma.

The only thing cringe-inducing here is your comment.

attempting to sound very clever when you've only capitalised your second name and not your first is an interesting look

"Ironically the sketch comes across as a satire of the BBC multicultural dogma." I think you'll find that's exactly what the sketch is supposed to be, so, perhaps that isn't ironic after all?

The only irony is that you have failed to see the irony in the programme and, ironically, in your own comment pS..

And the winner of the r/whoosh award for stating the bleeding obvious while completely missing the point is... Paul Smith.
