    Great video. I do have a question though because I am in the market for a new impact! If you try an M12 and it will not remove a chainsaw clutch, would the M18 do it? I guess I am asking about "hitting power"...

  • @MachineryNation

    @MachineryNation

    Thank you Steve. A very valid question. Yes, hands down the M18 gear will have more power. Fingers crossed in our impact wrench video we will demonstrate this quite well. We will even use them on chainsaw clutch to test. Do you have a preference on an awkward chainsaw clutch to remove?

    I love your showed, and because of your showed. My wife got me an M18 Fuel for my Birthday. It came with red lithium xc5.0 batteries. What are your advice on purchasing chain saw, type of batteries?

  • @SuperBill68
    @SuperBill6811 ай бұрын

    Drill- Packedge in typical box, came with a tool bag (added bonus), two batteries, one charger, drill, and driver. Two words "plenty of Torque" kzread.infoUgkxW1vOBRCMrgTCDEijzpVzDWsgI-Jm2iQv well I guess that's three. Nice upgrade from current setup. Has belt clips, I don't think I will be using those. Driver and drill were bigger than what I expected but it is an upgrade from the current setup. For the money I would say that this is a great setup for Professionals and DIY/Weekend warriors.

    Greetings from across the pond from the USA, Great Channel! and very informative start to a milwaukee m18 vs m12, I run both m12 and m18 from construction to working on farm/ heavy equipment so I have a large line of cordless tools, I used to have snapon cordless impacts and kept having issues with them always in for repair, switched to milwaukee and haven't looked back yet and for the price point I've saved alot of money and I've yet to have one go in for warranty or any issues. Patiently waiting for the husqvarna 592xp to be released in the USA from watching your videos on it.

    Think about it like the motor in cars. Smaller 4 cylinder Honda engines are louder high pitched whining noises. while a larger V8 are lower pitched growling noises.

    you need to test the gen 3 m18 impact driver. it’s in a league of its own. an m12 or the m18 surge doesn’t even come close to speed and power.

    I recently started my Milwaukee tool collection the M12 hammer drill and impact driver of course the obvious starting points I've recently added the M12 stubby 3/8" impact wrench to my collection. Great tools, after watching your video I'm not seeing much of a advantage in the M18 over the M12 a little here and there but it's very close.

    im in two minds what to buy - the m18 appears to have a larger range of tools compared to the m12 stuff?

    I bought M12 tools for working in collision repair. They make my 20v DeWalt tools look bad. Not only do they work brilliantly, but the M12 tools with the compact batteries fit in all sorts of places.

    So the M12 has enough power for the automotive industry? I've been thinking of getting the drill impact combo but don't know to go with M12 or M18

    @@starkillaog8118 I haven't had any issues. I work in collision repair so I deal with stuff like crankshaft bolts. I've yet to come across anything I couldn't take off with my M12 3/8" stubby impact.
