Their brand was doomed from the start after that Oprah interview and Spare book. You can't trash your employer and then still try and profit from being attached to the firm. All Rachel and Harry had to do is establish a brand that is authentically their own. Remain on good terms with your family members, stop leaking stories and go and build something of your own. For example, they could have built a small house castle on a Santa Barbara estate, have times during the year where people could visit part of the estate, view photos/videos and gardens around the property. Perrhaps have a little tea house onsite for visitors. Sell all your products online and part of the tea house.

You nailed it. Marketing is huge! I have a small Etsy store and had to learn the ropes about having a business plan, marketing, etc. I am a chemist, and business practices are not my strong suit. My husband is a marketing genius & really helped me figure it out. I wouldn't have the business I have without listening to him. Megs doesn't listen to anyone, but of all the people she has hired over the last 4 years, she should have hired and listened to a marketing advisor. She's heavily relying on her 'fame' to sell products. That's not going to work.

It is very weird that Meghan didn’t think to buy up all kinds of different domain names relating to her new venture. She bought so many different versions having to do with the names of her children even before they were born, or at least before Lily was born. She really didn’t think any of this out, did she? But she did inspire me though, I went to the King’s Sshop, and bought several jars of preserves, and a lovely flowered cup for my tea. Can’t wait to get them! Edit: Also, since strawberries are only just coming into season in California, but supposedly she does have lemon trees on her property, why did she just make lemon curd or lemon marmalade? Years ago I was in Europe & as a non Christmas person I was blown away with the Christmas Markets, they were amazing. Details & quality products. The atmosphere was beautiful, exciting

Megan cannot sale her jam on the open market because of improper labeling. Also if she’s actually going to make any food products she will have to deal with city and federal inspections and regulations. You can make small batches and give them to friends and or family but selling it to the public is another ball of wax.

I just had some toast with cream and organic strawberry fruit spread from Costco. The fruit spread has organic strawberries, organic sugar, pectin, and citric acid. It is so much more vibrant and fruitier than whatever is in MM‘s jars. Whatever has been spread out on toast in those pictures and videos does not look appetizing.

We eat the same jam!! I love this brand because of its story❤️

Thing is, there will be no review option on her website so NO ONE will ever really know how good or bad it is,
