Is Mega Man 5 Underwhelming....
Ойындар
“Brother vs Brother” as the next chapter unfolds. Our story opens with Protoman Kidnapping Dr Light and leading a group of robots gone Rogue across the city. MegaMan suites up and with the aid of Cossack sets off with a new companion named Beat. A showdown is inevitable and the two brothers have a fatal exchange until the critical moment...another Protoman arrives! The gig is up and the wannabe Mysterio reveals his real identity to be Darkman. An illusionist created by no other then Dr Wily. Brothers re unite and MegaMan whisks off to bring Wily down once again!
As I previously stated the later trilogy of MegaMan titles on the NES are my personal favorites. These games are gorgeous, with fun stage physics, and tons of power ups at MegaMan’s disposal. From the gravity changing features of GeavityMan’s stage to the quirky gravitational pull of StarMan’s stage. Hell you even ride on jet-skis at one point in a stage. There’s so many themes here and capcom really was creative w these levels. The addition of beat is a nice incentive and a ton of fun hunting down the letters to build him. You also now have tanks that refill your items. I’ts always good to have options in life and that’s what MM5 has...”options” for exploration and a game that’s fine tuned for a great experience.

If Gravity Man's stage was in Megaman 2 instead, you'd have an entire generation of gamers calling it the most fun and revolutionary level in Nes history.

That time Rush turned into a kiddie ride.

5 down, 1 to go. I agree, megaman 5 is not underwhelming, but the price can be a bit overwhelming. Currently about $130

It def packs a heavy price…even throughout the early 2000s it commanded a pretty solid chunk of change and was pretty hard to come by. Not to the extent of mm1 but I would consider it the second hardest one to come by second hand throughout the years

@@RockinKatReviews can't wait for MegaMan 6. Currently that one has become my favorite after 4 held that spot in my heart for years

@@underwaterlevelz1947 6 is awesome! The rush adapters are by far the coolest addition. The fact we didn’t see them again after 7 is criminal to say the least
Mega Man 5 is my favorite of the series for the reasons you named. It's more of what I love about the series. Crazy Cool enemy designs. AWESOME innovative Stage designs. Great music. MORE Robot than prior games. Plus Gravity Man's Stage is one of the Greatest Stages of all damn time!

Gravity man is the first Boss I always tackle when I start. Just his towering presence alone on the cover of the game was enough for me to get hyped up to play it.
Proto man whistle is the best

Def iconic !
Great video, I was also one of those kids who looked forward to getting a new Mega Man game every year. Mega Man V is my least favorite of the classic 6, but I still love it. They found ways to incorporate new challenges in the levels like the bubbles in Wave Man’s stage. I always loved Gravity Man’s stage and trying to wrap my head around the flipping upside down as a kid. The only thing I’m shocked about in this video is you like Power Stone! I’ve always hated that weapon and found it useless because of the weird path it takes, but hey it’s nice to see it get some love. -Cast

Those tiny bubble were a pain the first time I tried to ride to the top of wave man’s stage lol I was not patient at all. One thing I will say mentioning the weapons was I wish they found a way to incorporate the powers into the stages a bit more. I found me using them more so just to fool around and it be kinda nice if they had some sections that required u to use a few more of them to open paths etc

@@RockinKatReviews the bubbles drove me nuts as a kid, definitely a lot of yelling, hitting couch cushions and throwing controllers lmao.
This is so cool man! I just found your Channel about 24 hours ago and ran through your Mega Man videos and enjoyed them very very much. Keep up the great work man

🙏 Thank you for the support and feedback. I’ve had a blast doing these and having the opportunity to talk with others in community about their experiences with the franchise. MegaMan series is one that really influenced me on so many levels.. so initially I will be going l through the mainline series planning on doing the first 8 games and MegaMan and bass if I can survive MegaMan and Bass that is 😆
Awesome video as always 🔥

I think 5 is my 2nd favorite out of the NES Mega Man games and my 3rd favorite Mega Man game overall (I still liked V and 2 a little better). Napalm Man is probably the best level in the entire franchise.

This is my game it’s definitely not underwhelming!

Agreed!
5 is nostalgic to me because it was my first Mega Man game. Great level design, music, and graphics by late-era NES standards. But I can't defend it entirely - the boss weapons are probably the worst set in the series (including the weird change to Rush Coil).

The boss weapons were def pretty uninspiring. I think some of them had some good ideas like the gyro shot and charge kick but just wasn’t executed well.

@@RockinKatReviews Especially Power Stone, lol. I only found it useful for sniping Power Musclers from the ladder (the big stomper enemy). It was too unwieldy as a weakness.
720p is wild.

I'm starting to see more praise for Megaman 5, 7, 8 these days. In the early 2010's there was this trend of hating on Megaman games for weird reasons and that made you "cool" or whatever and it was super cringe. You were only allowed to play Megaman 2, X1 and X4 otherwise you were allegedly playing a "bad game"

I kinda found myself really only using a few mainly to try out…they def should have incorporated them some way into stage hazards or means to travel
MM5 is decent. It's just the worst one on the nes imo. My personal rankings are 3,2,1,4,6,5.
