This is so cool man! I just found your Channel about 24 hours ago and ran through your Mega Man videos and enjoyed them very very much. Keep up the great work man
🙏 Thank you for the support and feedback. I’ve had a blast doing these and having the opportunity to talk with others in community about their experiences with the franchise. MegaMan series is one that really influenced me on so many levels.. so initially I will be going l through the mainline series planning on doing the first 8 games and MegaMan and bass if I can survive MegaMan and Bass that is 😆
Where are those anime scenes from
MegaMan OVA upon a star . It’s a 3 part series loosely taking place around the time of mm5 it’s a pretty great watch
If Gravity Man's stage was in Megaman 2 instead, you'd have an entire generation of gamers calling it the most fun and revolutionary level in Nes history.
💯 You ain’t lying
Love your non Sega videos…… keep it that way 🙏🏽
😂
Awesome video as always 🔥
🙏
This is my game it’s definitely not underwhelming!
Agreed!
5 down, 1 to go. I agree, megaman 5 is not underwhelming, but the price can be a bit overwhelming. Currently about $130
It def packs a heavy price…even throughout the early 2000s it commanded a pretty solid chunk of change and was pretty hard to come by. Not to the extent of mm1 but I would consider it the second hardest one to come by second hand throughout the years
Great series of games
It sure is and really during the NES era was so influential.. defying a generation of platformers to come
Great editing again. Would love to see you do the 2D Metroid series next 😎
Working on it my bro
chargeshot was kinda OP tho
Just a bit 😆
Always loved MM5 was a great edition in the franchise. Great take on this one bro
🙏 I have it high up on my list it’s a great playthrough
Banger
🙏
Nice Video ! Sub & Big Like ! And Love Retro Kirby Game !
I love Mega Man 1 and it’s probably the one I’ve played most other than Mega Man 2. Its primitive qualities are its charm. -Cast
I feel the game ages very well and the robot masters are almost iconic at this point. Not sure if you ever took a look at the Archie series but they did a great job with the original 6 working alongside MegaMan through the stories. What really like to know your opinion on 7 and 8 sometime
@@RockinKatReviews I’m actually not aware of the Archie series, what is that? Is it a comic? I played 7 a little bit on the game cube collection many many years ago, I thought it was a great game. I tried playing 8 on that same collection and DETESTED it, I tried a few times and didn’t like anything about it.
I find it very interesting that so many reviewers put Mega Man 4 at the top of their lists. I started playing the Mega Man series when Mega Man 2 was released and it was love at first play. I got each subsequent game as soon as they were released and my opinion was always that all the games were amazing, but a certain intangible magic was present on 1-3 that dwindled starting with 4. My ranking off the top of my head would be 2,1,3,4,6,5. Nice video! -Cast
That’s a solid list! When I first tried out MegaMan it was at a friends house. MegaMan 3 but most friends I had growing up swore by 2. When I had the chance to got out and pick up the series with my own money 4 had just come out so Insorts followed suit with the later half of games and went back and picked up the original trilogy later. mm1 was really nowhere to be found at that time but I love MM3 and mm2 from my own personal experience..I have 4 towards the top but but it’s not my personal #1. I do love the series that much more as they continued on mainly bc of the many things they implemented to innovate gameplay like the charge shot and slide. It just gave me a lot of options when playing through the series and I love revisiting them with different strategies each time
@@RockinKatReviews the bottom line is they are 6 of the greatest games on the NES and you can’t go wrong with any of them!
@@throwbackswiththetechnodrome You spitting facts my bro!
Toads aren’t reptiles…
Rookie move… I Must have got him confused with my guy Snakeman…
A big nit-pick for me is with all the castle bosses the developers couldn't have figured out a way to use all the weapons?
Agreed! It doesn’t feel as if you can sorta just charge shot your way to victory in many of the scenarios. With MM3 many of them really required you to search them out especially with doc robots and gamma to name a few
Been playing through the original 6 Mega Man games and I think that 3 is my favorite of the lot. I love the soundtrack, the gameplay and Rush. I beat it last night and it was fairly easy to me. Good video.
🙏 MM3 is up there for me aswell. As far as robot masters I think it’s may collectively be my favorite 8. I just have so many memories with it…especially going through and battling the doc robots aswell. I will be releasing my MM5 review this Friday lmk when u finish mm4
What book do you have that has all that concept art?
That’s the MegaMan complete works book I believe it’s the second edition. It’s got some great information throughout on development of the series throughout
@@RockinKatReviews Yup, I recognized the pages. I got the Mega Man Complete Works book last Christmas (along with Zelda's "Hyrule Historia") and it's so cool!
This game is actually best to play on a 2Ds
I could def see that. I’m looking into getting a 2DS hopefully I can find something
So first time through. Did everyone else start with frog or Pharoah man? Lol
I rmember playing this game the most when I had leukemia (I was 5-6) and was in the hospital for hours or for an extended time
Thank you for sharing your story and it’s great knowing you were able to enjoy this game during such a critical time in your life. It is exciting to see where the MegaMan series will be going forward with many Capcom franchises making their returns as of late.
@@RockinKatReviews I look forward to seeing the next video!
Good video -- have some interaction.
🙏
Can't wait til you get to the X series
That’s when it gets really good!
I like how you pulled out the punch out 👌🏼
Call me Teflon Don Flamenco
I'm so glad to revisit these games and having some of the background you're bringing to the table. Also, discovering your channel when you made MM2 is making me anxious for the next installment 😂
🙏 im anxious to mainly bc we always have such long periods between new OG MegaMan games…..hoping one day we will see mm12 bc honestly I thought they did a great job with 11 and I liked the double gear system
Sadly Sega didn’t age well 😂
😂
Great rockin video 🔥
🙏
You are correct, the charged buster is such a game changer. No longer do you have to rely on boss order and learning which robot masters are weak to which weapons. With the charged buster you are on an even keel with every enemy. Also, the bright flash weapon is a bit of a game breaker because it is a souped up flash stopper.
It can be a little broken at times too especially in 5
This was my first MegaMan game as a kid still one of the best too
I agree with this it is one i tend to always go back to
Same though. I remember renting it and being blown away. Especially by the music.
@@AndrewsWideWorldofGamingMusic was great Wily castle theme and Toad man’s theme was a bop
Great job with this still waiting for mm12 😅
🙏 one day…..
I like the animated series references great review
🙏
After beating the original 6 I still believe this is the best one overall
It’s is very debatable it’s right there
2 is the GOAT
What? i can barely hear you mumbling something.
But they can still afford an IPhone, so obviously they're rich!!
Mega Man 3: Revamped Rom Hack is the closest thing to a fully finished version of the game. If you are able to play it I highly suggest it. It is the version of MM3 I have on my NES mini.
I would love to check that out I had no idea about it. If I can locate the rom I’ll def play it on my Everdrive then so I can experience it
Amazing video, my friend!!! Mega Man 3 is my very favorite game of all time! It is the game of my life! I still have hope that, eventually, they will remake all the classics using MM11 graphics. That would be a dream come true!!!!!!
That would be pretty incredible. I would love to see a remake especially if they use the double gear system. The robot masters could additionally have powered up special attacks of their original move sets. Thank you also for the support on the video I will have MegaMan 4 review out Friday 🙏
"tiny robotic offspring" You should put that phrase on a shirt with a bunch of pictures of all the trillions of things that Mega Man enemies have given birth to over the years.
😂 💀 Sounds like the name of a metal band! It was pretty amazing seeing some of those mid level boss enemies for the very first time like the cats of topman stage using fleas as projectiles
#RockinKatReviews
🙏
Maybe rush could of saved Sega 😂
😂 terrible
You’re videos make me interested in the older games
But will you play them….the choices are yours and yours alone
Damn, thought there was more about Protoman...
Remember we got MM5 Yosh with the fake Protoman
Doc robots still kick my butt to this day lol
They are pretty insane
🔥 great job with these bro
🙏
Nice job! I absolutely love MegaMan 3, always believed the level design and music was superior to MegaMan 2. You are 100% right about the slide being an absolute game changer, love that line "it feels like it's always been there". Very cool to see you have a MOC MegaMan and ProtoMan from Bandai Toys, those are not cheap!
🙏 Yes!!! I truly believe the slide is where it’s at..when they removed it in 9 it took me a while to really get into it. And I think that also plays into the precision and unique speed runs of many of the NES platformers… like ninja gaiden aswell certain mechanics just makes the flow of the games so good when they are missing one piece of the formula it shows
Well done bro MM3 is by far my favorite and doesn’t get the love it deserves
🙏 there is a lot to say about mm3 on the ambition alone and it shows
I beated mega man 1 and 2 and now this underrated master piece is next in line, also the levels have very clever plot twists. Rush is also very useful
I agree! I love the fact that these early MegaMan games can almost tell a story just through very simply placed cutscenes and battles.. little things can go a long way and I think mm3 is some of the best story telling in the original games
MegaMan 3 is still one of my favorites in the series
It def is I rank it high on my list
I love this sequel, it’s a fun challenge with great music that is memorable
Fully agree.. I think it’s a tie for me between 2 and 6 for the music but 2 is just so iconic it’s hard to top it
Megaman 1 is my personal favorite. Everything from the challenge to the fabulous music. I’m proud to say that I had the opportunity to experience this great game when it first launched and the graphics and gameplay at that time were incredible! Long live this amazing classic game! I have high hopes for a Megaman Legends remake soon! 😊
FYI. Yes! I completed the game many times over.
With Capcom announcing the MVC collection I could def see them putting out a remaster of legends 1,2, and Tron Bonne and follow that up with Legends 3. Especially with the Capcom survey please even give me a MM12 we have been patiently waiting. Also thank you for sharing your experience with 1 because even as a kid I could not track down 1 anywhere it was such a hard game to even find. I would pick up 4-6 as they came out and really loved 6 but 1 was a mystery at that time and not may ppl spoke about it so it was definitely eluding me to find it for many years
