There's lots of good stone lifters at present. Thing is, stones are always the last event and athletes pick up injuries in the events before. Others (lately Thor, with exception of WSM where he was injured), by the time they get to the final event, they only have to comfortably lift 4 out of 5 to win the whole thing. We never get to see a proper head-to-head in stones. Hard to say who is the best

The boxes needs a bigger hole, Licis did not have trouble lifting it, his trouble was putting it in the hole.

Hold up. 4:30 these times are off. If you slow down the footage martins time is recorded when his hands are off the stone. 18:73. Mateusz's time was basically recorded as soon as the stone hit the podium if you slow it down to 0.25 seconds. So the times are 100% wrong despite mateusz still winning. So that time of 16;09 is unfairly given. Double checking on camera's should be done before claiming records.

Anyone else catch how Kaz called Mateusz "Marius" at the beginning? ; ) Easy mistake seeing as how they're both from Poland and both legendary strongmen.

Brian Shaw holds the record for the biggest stone lifted at 550 lbs. I think he might be high on the rankings.

I feel like with the stones it's a bit shit that they have to balance the stone at the top. If they just had to get it over the bar, they wouldnt have to spend that few seconds making sure it wont roll off thoughts?

The time they waste balancing the stones after they lifted it up is changing the competition. I'd like to see a rematch between Licis and Kieliszkowski with bigger landings for the stones.
