In fact rappers have told us they don’t listen to anybody but themselves which is on par with Lyor who I’m sure listened to his artists projects. He definitely listened to Run DMC back in the day

    The 360 deal is nothing but slavery. You sign your life away for a whip and a chain... Look at R Kelly, the man is a legendary musician who writes most of his music with hits out the ass but he owns no rights to his music. The man is broke receiving no royalty checks. Take for instance Skee Lo the dude who made that song in the 90s "I wish". He made that song in his basement and the album, owned all his rights and a few years ago when Kia used it in their add during the Superbowl that man made 1 million dollars. This is why they killed Mike over owning the Beatles catalog.

    A 360 deal isn't bad seriously stop perpetuating that nonsense. How else does the label plan on getting recouped faster for giving you and advancement whenever records don't sell like they be used to and streams are useless.

  • @chidorigokuamvs

    @chidorigokuamvs

    Blocka LaFlame First of nobody needs a label anymore. A label is only for artist who have no idea how to move in the industry, which yes is a lot of artist when they’re first starting out. However if you’re serious about this you can learn most of what’s needed online. The major thing a label does for an artist is promote and distribute your music, which can now be done with ease, do to the internet. Which is why there are constantly ever appearing “large” independent acts, that are thriving. Now with that stated, a 360 is a great business deal for the label, as the label like any business, has to make deals that best favor them. However for the artist it’s a huge scam, that the label feeds them under the guise of we take all the risk. Let’s also addresses your “streams are useless” statement. Streams are useless because labels and the streaming services keep adjusting the way streams are counted, to keep more of the profits. So with all that stated for anyone who isn’t a label a 360 is a bad deal. Any first year graduate lawyer could probably tell you that

Joe even pulled a cigarette out...Lol. TRUTH hit him. Its very simple...If its a black product or service...then it MUST have black opinions and workers. That's like walking in a Chinese restaurant that has all Mexican workers and chefs. NONE of our businesses or products and services are ever fully owned by blacks. That's because white racist and culture vultures use money to position themselves to take over a business idea. Just look at what happened to BET...or any black business...were did all the black owned hospitals go??? There were hundreds.

    Yea but the entire music industry profits off of black dysfunction. And 360 deal is fair. 360 is fair because it affords the artist an opportunity they otherwise wouldn’t have--the label saying; “we’ll put our machine behind you. We will promote and sign you. Well set up your tour dates and venues and management. The artists benefits: they don’t have to blow off their OWN; and doesn’t have to blow off the first record.... they have the opportunity to build their career....... look at Young Thug. Best example of Lyors management under 300; as well as flourishing under the 360 deal...... thug didn’t have to BLOW off his first record; he was allowed to build his musical career over TIME; while Lyors direct management (as well as the subcontract to be under the tutledge of birdman), but was able to develop his sound and style and carve out his own place in the music biz over TIME; because of the 360. I’m not a fan of the 360; but these benefits are undeniable. A lot of people don’t talk about these things.

  • @kubricksghost6058

    @kubricksghost6058

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@My_Alchemical_Romance bro, it's not that clear cut. Imagine you have players in the nba and you can sign a limited number, you might sign some just simply so others can't sign them. Some you genuinely want, some you want to tie down and fail. And the 360 deals doesn't guarantee the label will always cooperate, the final choice is down to their discretion. So if you start saying drugs are bad and push black togetherness rather than hating each other, guess what, you are stealing from other revenue streams which the label benefits from. Now the 360 works against you because they close the doors. If u promote lgbt, promiscuity, drugs and greed, then boom, the 360 works for you because now the label is extra tight with you. On top of dames point about nepotism is a bigger point that went over Joe's head. (They) are hiring their family and friends, lawyers and finance majors who don't know anything about music, so the dynamic shifts AGAINST the artist. It's a energy draining environment because its rigged for the artist to be under all types of unwritten forms of control. If black society became middle class they'd get off weed and opioids, stop joining gangs and the record label has to rewrite its target audience aka has an interest to keep the community impoverished.

If your homie took a bullet for you, but everybody talk foul towards him, are you gon talk foul against him just because everybody else is doing it? The same way you want Joe to talk against Lyor. Or are you gon take up for your man the same way Joe took up for the dude that looked out for him? If you talk against somebody who has looked out for you just to fit in with everybody else makes you a bitch.

Hearing Dame speaks reminds me of Christ when he was flipping tables in churches and spitting fire against those who were never in it for the Truth and the People. He knew that people had ulterior motives behind the money making. YOU can spot Nature and Truth and Realness a mile away when you aren't asleep or blinded. Rev. 2:9 comes to mind and I'm more of a scholar than a religious dude!! It still rings true and fits so eerily.

    I understood joes point cuz at the end of the day all CEOs exploit rappers and take advantage for their own gain. Look at diddy and birdman. But Dame is for the people, he's a rare breed

    I agree totally. I'm a huge Dash fan. But a grown man saying pause in 2018 is down right childish. Plus us real men don't ever got to it because gay thoughts never , ever even enter our mind.

    i check out his channel once in awhile it has alot of useful info, i just dont like when he gets crazy and start blaming everyone else for his split with jayz. also i believe he is black balled from the industry but the problem is he cant control his emotions and he pissed off alot of people for not being professional, lets be honest he was a dick and people remember all his antics. have you ever seen the vid of him going in the meeting and spazzing on everyone ?
